We were staying at the Mandalay Bay but for some reason they changed our reservation to the W. While we were excited at first, upon arrival I was extremely disappointed. The hotel was sharply and tired and DARK! The lobby was dark and where you wait for the elevators was really dark!
The room on the website showed bright and light but the one we got was dark too. They said all rooms are suites - they are not. Our room was small, the bathroom was small and the TV was tiny too. There was no coffee in the room.
Also it is very far from taxis and ride shares and pretty much everything. I had my 70 year old mom with me and we had to walk Al the way through the casino to the other side of the property. I don’t even think you can pick up a cab near the W lobby.
Basically, it was not good. I ended up calling the Mandalay Bay and requesting a new room in the actual Mandalay Bay.
Maybe they are upgrading rooms at the W, but I will not ever stay there. Find a different place, unless maybe you are a vampire and don’t want to see any light….

I absolutely love this hotel. Recently changed names from the Delano also partnering with the Marriott the suite that I stayed in with my family. It was siblings weekend. Everybody had a very comfortable stay. The suites are big enough to accommodate multiple guests at a time. Very pleasant decor. Probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at in. Las Vegas will definitely be back again! I would like to shout out to VIP Services who made our check-in and then our check out so easy. Thank you, MGM Rewards. It was absolutely lovely and beautiful.

I came to the W Hotel expecting a great experience, but unfortunately, it fell short. When I arrived at my room, I noticed that the door didn’t latch properly, which was a major security concern. I called the front desk and requested either a room change or for maintenance to fix it. They assured me that someone would be sent.
Since I had a work dinner and didn’t want to leave my bag unattended, I took it with me. Two hours later, I returned to find that no one had come to fix the issue. I called again at 9 PM, only to be told to “keep waiting” because they would send someone now. When I asked again to be moved to a different room, they insisted on trying to fix it instead of addressing my request.
The lack of urgency and poor service was extremely disappointing. A hotel of this caliber should prioritize guest safety and comfort, but that was clearly not the case. I expected much better from the W Hotel.

Very nice and modern hotel. While staying here we checked out a number of other hotels and for the price it is definitely hard to beat.
Everything is very clean and pretty modern. It’s definitely more modern than the sister Mandalay Bay (you get access to amenities at both).
The free Tram that takes you to Excalibur is great as you can easily cross to the MGM to use the monorail.
The mobile check in made things very smooth and helped avoid a long line.
The only knock I have is that they charge you $50 to use your fridge! This is outrageous as there were times we had to throw away leftovers from meals because we did not want to pay $50 to store them.

Great location and very convenient since we were at a conference at Mandalay Bay. The bar was great as well as the coffee shop however it’s at times the lines were a little bit long but overall great convenience to have everything right there at your fingertips. I really enjoy the access to the amazing restaurants as well over near Mandalay Bay! The 64th floor was an amazing vibe as well with food and drinks while overlooking unforgettable! The room was pretty secure as well as you only could access the floor that you had a room on which I really loved being out in Vegas by myself for a Keller Williams Family Reunion conference. Overall I did like the room as well as it had a separate living in powder room from the main bedroom that featured double beds and a full bathroom also the view from the window were amazing overlooking the stadium and arena! I definitely recommend the location of this hotel!
