Pros: so close to the boardwalk and Epcot! We loved walking to the park and back to the hotel. We stopped and ate, watched entertainment, and had so much fun. It was such a vibe! The hotel is old but the lobby is beautiful. We loved hanging out and exploring.
Cons: the walls are thin and our neighbors were screaming in Spanish nonstop from 6am on. Our room 6160 had zero hot water either day we showered. None! Parking is a scam. Valet is a separate company and try to get you to park at the Swan or use them even though there are spots at the Dolphin! We had the hotel manager fight it out with them on the phone and ended up being able to park on site. Absolute scam artists. They don't tell you parking is $36 extra per day. They also double charged the $45/day resort fee we already paid through the booking company, so we'll have to fight that out. Drinks are good but prices are insane. $9 for a kid's Good to Grow 6 oz drink. Triple grocery store price. Old fashioned $17, bottled craft beer $12. Insanity. And on top of it, the buses were only available at the Swan due to a convention. Crazy overpriced for the weekend amenities.
Overall, it wasn't worth it and we definitely won't be back.

I booked a two bed standard room with the expectation that it would have a walk in shower as most hotels have these days. I was informed at check in that they have tub showers which wouldn't accommodate my special needs son with mobility issues. As they had no ADA rooms available, all they would do out charge me $99 per night extra for an "alcove suite" which has a walk in shower. Week i don't know if it was just our room or what but the shower was tucked behind a toilet so you have to shuffle sideways to get into it and the door to toilet/shower room doesn't open all the way. Just a stupid design. I asked for something else and they moved me to an ADA suite which was better. Although they don't have two beds so my son had to sleep in an uncomfortable hideabed. Still i find this hotel crazy in need of updating and for the price, not having updated bathrooms is nuts. Aside from the rooms, the hotel itself was fine. We did have issues with the bus transportation have to wait 1 hours to get back from the ticket center. I enjoyed the meals i had at Rosas.

FYI, this hotel is NOT a Disney hotel. The lobby of the Dolphin Hotel was nice but hardly decorated for Christmas; staff was sufficiently friendly, but parking staff not much helpful. Self parking sucks!!! If you can afford it do valet. Food choices are meh especially in off hours. Room was old and not very nice for the amount I paid. Housekeeping never showed up for 2 days but on day 3 showed up at 7am (WTF!!!). If you hope to see the fireworks from your room make sure to ask the desk staff first. I asked for a “resort view” room so I could see them but nada! You should drive to the parks if you have a car and can, I wouldn’t wait for the bus. Driving to the parks was not too difficult, but takes at least 10 minutes on a good morning. Overall, I’d give the hotel a 3.5. Next time I’ll stay at one of the Disney resort hotels vs. non-Disney.

My one request is bigger beds. We got a room with doubles and they felt incredibly small- but, everything else was great. They have shuttles going to all the parks- and you can resort hop for food and to check things out. Convenience store on site as well as coffee and amazing Sundaes. We didn’t hit the other eateries as we ate a lot at the parks- but they had several options for lunch and dinner as well.

We have stayed here and their sister property a 3 or 4 times and have never been disappointed. Good location, clean, comfortable rooms. This time we stayed on the second floor, which is below the lobby. We were at first disappointed as we walked down a somewhat gloomy hall, only to be delighted by dual balconies one of which was tree shaded and overlooked the lagoon! We'll be asking for the corner room on 2 again!
