First of all I am a Las Vegas local and have lived here over 30 years and the reason I stayed at the Westgate is because my mother wanted to spend a couple of nights on the strip. The Westgate is the old Hilton so it has been around many many years and you can see it in some of the room fixtures. Worn out paint, quirky low toilets. However don't let that fool you, the service from the Valet to the front desk was fabulous, all employees used my name when they could and they were very hospitable. The rooms are old, but VERY clean, the bedding was super comfortable and the mattress was entirely fine, the pillows were fantastic. The AC was kind of struggling to get to 70 degrees but once it was there it was quiet and cool. The water pressure in the showers was amazing and almost pinned me to the wall, also the temperature was super hot. Negatives were no coffee machines in the room, which meant a 30 mins wait in the coffee shop downstairs. The furniture could do with an upgrade or touch up, but the draws were clean and dust free. Overall for being an off strip property i would recommend staying here if u want no frills accommodation that is clean.

I had an amazing experience at Sid’s Café at the Westgate Hotel in Las Vegas! The food was delicious, but what truly made the visit exceptional was the outstanding service from Francisca Jaume. Francisca was absolutely incredible—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, offering great recommendations and making us feel right at home. Her professionalism and positive energy really stood out and made the whole dining experience even better. Francisca is a true gem and a great representation of the hospitality and quality service you expect in Las Vegas. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I hope to see her again next time!

Stayed here last weekend as a first timer staying in Vegas. The hotel itself is in a great location, the food was ok, and the casino was good but the smoking was a bit much for me. Overall I enjoyed my stay and their customer service throughout the hotel was good. I ate at Draft's Sports Bar and the chicken was not good, it tasted old but covered in seasoning and fried. Nice decor, the pool could use some updates and the plus is that the monorail runs right outside the hotel and made getting up the strip from the hotel a breeze.

Firstly, I’m a veteran 27 year business traveler, so I’ve stayed at HUNDREDS of hotels. The Westgate is off the strip a ways but the monorail makes it very accessible. And, parking is easy with their nearby ramp. I’ve been to the Westgate in the past for work conferences and have a good experience. This trip was personal for my wife and I, and it was a very mixed experience. The room was not great. Housekeeping skipped us a few times in the 5 days of our stay and I called one in f the days to ensure we’d get service which was cleaned very late in the day. We were out of our room by 11am every day and returned in the evening most days. The restaurants were good, and the lobby bar area has a fun stage with local performers, not great, but it was okay. Our room had an excellent overhead rain shower element that leaked on us while using the main shower head on the wall. It was VERY annoying and the hotel needs to repair it. The control handle was loose and no matter what you did it would just sprinkle on you during and after a shower. The elevators are very difficult in the North Tower and MANY times skipped our floor to get picked up most of the days we were there. Very annoying. We often times had to walk and haul things to the main elevator bank. The Loco Taco restaurant was VERY good and everyone should try their street tacos and their morning breakfast burrito! We had that a few times and were never disappointed! Unverifiable- But my wife and I were pretty certain our room had bed bugs as well from the several small bites on our ankles we both noticed on our last day packing up to leave. In the future we will look at the Freemont downtown area to stay. Lower priced rooms, lower priced food and drinks and you can walk anywhere vs always having to Uber, Taxi or Monorail if you stay at the Westgate for a pleasure trip to Vegas.

Great resort with just the right mix of fine dining, casino play and sleep stay. Being centrally located on the loop was perfect as well. If you haven't been driven underground in the loop for conventions and the like do so. Benihana, Edge Steakhouse and Fresco's Italian restaurant were great! The casino tables were good. The slots need some work as you need to look around for service tech's when your machine locks up. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone attending a convention at LVCC. Fun spot for Elvis fans as well!!!! TY Westgate
