Couples Swept Away

I enjoyed my time at couples swept away except for a few things. Positives: The location was very nice, I really enjoyed being able to walk right on the long strip of the beach every single day. The food availability of food at almost all hours was great, I never felt rushed to get breakfast, lunch or dinner. The health and wellness center was also great. A lot of equipment to choose from at the gym and many other athletic options to choose from. Negatives: The lack of lighting in the room. The only working lights in our room was the overhead lights on the bathroom vanity and the bedroom vanity. (and entrance/hallway). The bedside lights never worked and when we asked for it be resolved, nothing happened. The bathroom needed some obvious upgrading but it looks like they are in the process of doing that in some of the buildings. Our iron was also broken and leaking water (all over the suite that needed to be worn in a few hours) but they were able to replace that within 30 minutes. I'm also curious about the privacy of some of these rooms, the first room we had, all 3 walls facing the outside had shutters that you would need to open since there was little to no lights in the room. Overall I'm not sure if I would stay here again (not soon anyway) since it looks like they are in the process of doing some updates on the resort. Hopefully these issues are taken into consideration because I think it is a beautiful resort and the location is excellent as well.

Great place with a beautiful beach and some great included water activities. The food overall was just ok and could sometimes be pretty limited in terms of options. The fine dining restaurants were better but have to get reservations which fill up quickly. Getting drinks can sometimes be a pain too, not all bars were open and some can have pretty limited options. Overall we had a nice stay and recommend it but could definitely be improved in certain areas.

This is my second time visiting Couples Swept Away—my first was in November 2019—and I can honestly say I wouldn’t place any other resort or island before it. The employees go above and beyond to make every moment memorable. This morning, as we enjoyed breakfast, the sound of the piano filled the air with the most relaxing and beautiful songs. It’s those little touches that make this place feel so special. I truly love it here, and the only regret I have is that I’m staying for just one week. If there really is a paradise, I hope it looks exactly like this.

This resort is amazing! KID FREE, adults only. All inclusive. It’s right on the 7 mile beach in Negril. We were married here 25 yrs ago and decided to return for our 25th anniversary. What a week! The resort had many upgrades over the past 25 years. Incredible food. Friendly and helpful staff. It’s a no tipping policy resort. But we did tip Housekeeping daily cause she rocked!!! Lots of dining options and bars everywhere. This was a laid back no pressure resort that allows you to vacation on your terms. Ice cold AC , soft cozy bedding, our room had a massive soaking tub and separate shower. Powder soft sand. Clear blue water and lots of water activities included in your stay.

An excellent get away for couples. It really caters to the interests of couples- quiet and relaxed. Includes many water sports including catamaran, snorkelling, glass bottom boats, sailing lessons. Less restaurants than most places , but they have five services for meal. Well worth the visit
