A true resort for sure. The 'savanna view' wasn't exactly what I expected but overall this place was well worth it. The animals come out when they are fed, not exactly running wild. It's more like a big fenced in yard inside the hotel. Kudos to the plumbers at this place also, the toilet pressure rivals that of the space shuttle

We love this resort! The balconies are perfect for early morning and afternoon animal sightings. Plenty of quick service, fancy and regular dining options. Shopping is fun and unique. The pools never feel overly crowded the lobbies are stunning and the staff is always friendly. Fun cultural activities for kids and adults, bar and lounge options are great, and did I mention that it never feels crowded?!

We had a good stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but not a great one. The rooms are about five years past needing an update. They are dark and brown, don’t have enough lighting and just overall look like they have been band-aided to avoid a full renovation that is needed. For the price we were paying for a two bedroom unit (almost $2k/night) I feel like the accommodations could have been better. We were in room 7658 of the Kidani lodge which is just about as far as you can get from anything on the Animal Kingdom property. I’m not kidding when I say it’s a quarter mile walk from the lobby of our lodge to our room a really, really long walk. I love walking, but some people really might be offended by the amount of walking involved at this lodge. The service was the usual Disney level a very friendly staff that accommodated any need or request we had. Also, it was really cool to be able to watch the animals in our Safari view room, but after

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is pure magic. The moment you step inside, you feel like you’ve traveled to a different continent. The lobby is absolutely stunning, with beautiful African-inspired decor and the kind of warmth that makes you want to stay forever.
But let’s be real—the highlight is stepping out onto your balcony and seeing animals like giraffes, zebras, and antelopes just casually roaming around. It’s not every day you sip your morning coffee with a giraffe in the background!
The staff here go out of their way to make everything feel special. Everyone is friendly and genuinely excited to share little bits of African culture with you.
Oh, and the food… don’t skip Boma! Their breakfast buffet is amazing, and you’ll be dreaming about their zebra domes for days. The pool area is also perfect if you need a break from the parks—relaxing and beautiful.
Animal Kingdom Lodge isn’t just a place to stay; it’s an experience. It’s the kind of Disney magic that sticks with you long after you’ve left. Definitely worth it!

I gave 4 stars on the room because the mattress was very uncomfortable. The rest of the resort was amazing. All of the cast members were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Seeing all of the animals roaming around was very fun!
