Mixed bag of a hotel. The location is excellent, short walk to battery park and several subway stations, great food in the area. It's not as busy as midtown. Staff is really friendly/helpful and allowed me to check in 1.5 hours early. Significant drawbacks are the elevators and rooms. Room was pretty cramped and it was hard to lay out all my items for a 2 night stay. Stayed with a friend and there was only chair, so only one of us could sit down when brought food back to the hotel. Fridge is tiny and can only fit a few small drinks. Shower was inconsistent and would not always have hot water. On my second night the A/C was not working well and I had difficulty sleeping because the room was so hot. The elevators, as others have mentioned here, are pretty slow. But I usually waited 1-4 minutes for the elevators and never 10+ minutes as others have mentioned. I don't regret staying here and the price was reasonable for Manhattan but I would probably look elsewhere on the next visit.

Please be aware of staying at this hotel! Our stay was not pleasant. The elevators are the absolute worst! We waited 20 minutes or longer to ride the elevators. On our last day of our trip, we had to bring our luggage down 12 floors due to the elevators not working properly. This was unacceptable, especially when carrying 4 large suitcases. The room was very small and barely had room to lay our luggage down in the room. If you are claustrophobic, this hotel is not for you. Definitely would not suggest anyone staying at this hotel!

Awful. Got my laundry stolen! And no security cameras at the hotel. Elevators are super bad during morning or evening. You can easily spend 15-20 minutes during the rush hours. Waiting or in the elevator. Was here at the end of October. It’s not 4-star hotel for sure. It’s 3-star average one. And a bunch of 3-star across the world are much better than this one. Bathroom just as in a cheap hotel. The bed is small. And I got my laundry stolen. And they were just blaming me that I left it at the door’s handle and the stuff just probably threw this away as a trash. Special laundry hotel branded bag with a filled paper treated as a trash? Don’t know. Or someone just took it for themselves. When I asked to check security cameras at the floor to see who took it and probably it’s possible to take it. They said that they don’t have cameras at the hotel for privacy reasons. Manager were suggesting to give me points. But would they cover $350 costs of belongings? Ofc no. Just may be will be able to get $20 discount. And those points are never arrived to my account by the way. It’s just a big joke but not the hotel with good service and safety.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location in downtown New York. Its proximity to major landmarks makes it very convenient for tourists. Iconic sites like the World Trade Center, Battery Park, and the ferry to the Statue of Liberty are all within walking distance. Additionally, public transportation is easily accessible, with nearby subway stations and bus stops providing quick connections to other parts of the city. For travelers looking to explore New York, the location is definitely the best part of this hotel. However, the positives stop there. The hotel itself is highly disappointing. Despite being a 44-floor building, it has only three small elevators, and they are extremely inefficient and cramped. Waiting times for the elevator are consistently frustrating, often exceeding five minutes, which is simply unacceptable for a high-rise hotel. The cramped design continues into the lobbies, which are narrow and difficult to navigate, making it feel claustrophobic. The condition of the rooms is equally underwhelming. They are small and lack the quality or comfort expected from a hotel in such a central location. Even basic services fail to meet expectations, with slow response times and subpar attention to detail. The elevator situation is the worst aspect of the hotel. For such a tall building, it is ridiculous to have such inadequate facilities. It creates constant inconvenience, especially during busy hours. The poorly designed infrastructure, combined with narrow hallways and cramped spaces, makes the entire experience far from pleasant. Overall, while the location is ideal, the negatives significantly outweigh the positives. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, as it fails to provide even basic comfort and convenience beyond its prime location.

The reason I'm giving this hotel two stars instead of one is because the staff is very kind and attentive. HOWEVER, if you stay here, you will need to plan an extra 20-30 minutes every time you go anywhere to wait for the elevator. Also, be aware that there is NO PARKING. So if you're driving your vehicle into the city, you should find another hotel. And don't plan to shower here, unless you like your shower to be very cold. That is all.
