Seeking a modern New York hotel in the heart of the Big Apple? Look no further than the OYO Times Square. Prepare to be wowed from the minute you walk through the doors, with a tropical fish tank and chandeliers in the lobby. Absolute worst hotel I have ever seen…
Was switched here without my knowledge from a booking site. How anyone books a stay here is beyond me. Google says it’s a 4* hotel, it’s nowhere NEAR that, 2* at best… feels like it’s a hotel you book by the hour not the night. Room was the size of a bathroom, bathroom the size of a closet and the twin bed looked and felt extremely cheap. Elevators take about 20 minutes since there’s only one for the whole hotel and it legit only fits 2 people with bags. I’d avoid this hotel at all costs. Staff did their best, but this place is a steer clear in my honest opinion. I really don’t leave reviews, but this warranted one. Only reason people probably stay here in December is its price, that’s the only reason I can even think of. 0/10.

The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Paint and wall paper was peeling off the walls, housekeeping took our shower curtain, dirty, soap scum and mildew in the bathroom, door handles falling off, extremely small slow elevators, blinds were ripped up and dirty, no toilet paper (bring your own), phone was broken, mattress was as very thin and the “pillows” are a joke just completely flat. Someone tried to come in our room while we were sleeping apx 7am thank goodness for the latch.
We went for our honeymoon and it was non refundable. Completely ruined our honeymoon. We had to go buy toilet paper because mom was provided. When we asked the desk they stated they’ve run out. I spent time cleaning and sanitizing the room in my honeymoon because it was filthy. The first time our room was cleaned the shower curtain was taken, and we had to ask two days straight to get a new one.
The photos online are nothing like what you get. We were definitely catfished. All I can say is run and do not waste your money. We have complained to corporate but go no where. We have photos of all of it from arrival.

The location is right off Times Square and in the middle of everything which was great and very convenient! Maria the receptionist was very helpful, kind, and funny! She was/is the best part of our stay! Bar/restaurant downstairs is very cute with a pop of color!

It's a great location. We walked or took the subway (station right across the street) the whole week. I wouldn't say this was a 4 star hotel but not nearly as bad as some reviewers made it sound. For the price it was more than fair. Room was small but not cramped. The bed was a bit creaky but I slept okay. The water pressure in the shower was lacking but hot water worked fine. It was like showering in warm rain. Room A/C was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I requested a fridge which ended up in the wrong room and when I asked again they got it to our room in 15 minutes! Would stay again! We had a lovely time!

Was not sure what to expect. We stayed in a standard king (room 1002) and it met our needs. Two (tiny) elevators - the one around the corner felt like a private elevator for the 10th floor! Comfortable bed. Functioning bathroom. Hot water for a shower. PERFECT location to everything theater. No frills.
