Am about halfway through my stay here. Decent place, but lacks in some areas. I typically enjoy smaller resorts like this, however this one fails to provide enough areas for guests. There are so many children and the only adult only section of the resort for a pool is the preferred club which is a ridiculous amount of extra money. I could just stay at a nicer adult only resort for the extra cost. If they didn’t charge so much for that rooftop pool and it was included I definitely would have a better view.
They apparently don’t like their guests sleeping in on vacation. I’ve had my alarm set for 9am each day and have been abruptly woken up by staff prior both days. Calling my phone to tell me to come get my coupons, then banging on my door when I don’t answer it. Very strange and not relaxing to be woken up like that.
Food is enjoyable so far, the restaurant staff have been pleasant. I liked the nightly shows and live music. The wait for tables at restaurants is really not as bad as the reviews say, people are just so impatient. 5-10 minutes wait is much better than other resorts having to go to concierge at the brink of dawn to make reservations, and still never get desirable times.
Rooms are great, and ocean view from every room is a huge plus!

Overall I would give this resort a 4 star without the preferred experience but with the preferred then it definitely deserves a 5 star.
I had an incredible experience here and would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway. One of the highlights of my trip was upgrading to the Preferred Club. The rooftop pool, restaurant, and the dining experience at Vista Prime were absolutely worth it—this upgrade elevated the entire stay!
The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, even at the buffet, which made everything so enjoyable. Vista Prime was by far my favorite restaurant, and our server, Felix, was phenomenal. He was funny, warm, and truly made our evening unforgettable. Another standout experience was the teppanyaki dinner, where Jorge’s energy and skills made it so much fun.
When it comes to food, I cannot recommend the short ribs from Vista Prime and the shrimp tacos from the Blue Water Grill enough. Both were absolutely delicious! In fact, the shrimp tacos were so good, we ordered five servings and devoured every bite.
For early risers, I highly recommend waking up about 30 minutes before sunrise and heading to the beach. Watching the sunrise over the ocean was an absolutely breathtaking experience—something you don’t want to miss.
This resort exceeded my expectations in so many ways. From the food to the service and the serene atmosphere, everything came together to create an unforgettable vacation. I would love to return someday!
If the preferred club was included for the price then this would be my favourite resort of all time however the price to upgrade is expensive so that definitely is the only downside to this resort but I would say it’s worth it to at least upgrade one night and pick a sunny day so the views are the best.

Pros- great service, small size of resort, restaurants were great (no wait time), rooms were nice, all rooms have a ocean view overlooking the golf course, the sliding doors in the rooms open almost all the way, extending the size of the room. Easy to get a chair before 930ish
Cons- buffet was just ok, the cook to order stations were good, hot tub wasn't that hot and jets weren't strong
We had preferred club which I think was worth it. We would go to the lounge every morning for breakfast where it was quiet (they had bacon eggs sausage pastries cereal etc...), The rooftop adults only pool was a good quiet escape from the normal pool which can have a lot of kids. The pref club only Vista Prime Steakhouse was our favourite place to eat.
Although it was usually windy, you could always find a place by the pool or Beach which was sheltered. Pool wasn't as cold as people made it sound like, it didn't prevent us from going in. Beach was smaller than some resorts but never felt too small, and swim area was great.

We had an amazing time at Dreams Vista Cancun! We took my 4-year-old daughter, after the craziness of the holidays, and were all able to get some rest and relaxation. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. They had a kid zone that my daughter loved; sending her there gave my husband and me some adult time. We even had amazing massages at the spa. I would highly recommend a vacation at Dreams Vista Cancun.

Recently went for my son's wedding. It was over 60 of us on this trip. Several had issues with their rooms, the staff, and the food. My room was great! I had positive interactions with the staff and had a spa treatment that was amazing! I was not impressed with the food. I was surprised that you had to pay for some steaks at one of the restaurants. I travel all over the world and have stayed at many all-inclusive resorts, and I never had to pay for any food unless it's private dining. Overall, I enjoyed my time here but probably will not return.
