Hotel Zilara Cancun offers a fun and lively atmosphere with a mix of highlights and areas for improvement.
Pros:
• Food Experience: The food was excellent, and we especially enjoyed the teppanyaki experience and the Chef’s Plate – both were standout meals that added to our enjoyment.
• Friendly Staff: The staff was consistently warm and welcoming, making sure we felt taken care of throughout our stay.
• Heated Pools: A big plus was the heated pools, which made swimming and relaxing comfortable even when the weather cooled down.
Cons:
• Dated Facilities: The hotel feels a bit dated and could use some renovations to modernize the rooms and common areas.
• Entertainment: The shows were just okay – not bad, but nothing particularly memorable.
• Noise Level: While the pool parties were fun and energetic, the noise carried into the rooms, which made it hard to relax if you were looking for peace and quiet.
Overall Impression:
Hotel Zilara Cancun delivers great food, friendly service, and lively entertainment, but the dated facilities and noise levels might not appeal to everyone. Very good hotel with top notch service and hospitality. This was our first time to Cancun and in an all inclusive resort and the food was awesome, the room service was great. The pool area and constant activities , entertainment was all really good.
The only slight con is that it’s not really an Uber luxurious resort and neither was I expecting it at the price. Overall a must visit.

This was my 6th time staying at this property. The highlight is the staff, who are very friendly and make you feel like they genuinely want you to have a great experience. I want to give a shout out to Rosy in the spa who went above and beyond to make the water journey experience very calming and enjoyable, and never made me feel rushed. The food at Spice is always very good. The gym is my favorite here - always completely clean and very spacious with excellent equipment. Love relaxing at the infinity pool deck after a workout.

Small quiet resort with exceptional service, food and views. It's not the most modern resort, but it's very nice. Plenty of spots to relax by the pool or on the beach. Waitstaff comes by every 5 minutes. Has a sports bar that aired all the NFL games which was a very nice surprise. If you like good food, drinks, service and peace, this is you spot!

My husband and I just stayed 5 days and 4 nights for our anniversary celebration! The service was absolutely amazing! My husband accidentally tripped and fell (at no fault of the hotel) and an employee rushed over to make sure he was okay. The concierge checked up on him later in the day as well. During the night show, we chose to stand over by the side and watch for a bit. Several times employees came over to ask if I wanted them to get me a chair or assist me in anyway at all. Absolutely incredible staff!! The main lobby had an amazing smell and everything was so clean and beautiful. Our concierge checked up on us throughout our stay and we felt like royalty!
One of the only downsides to our stay was that some of the meals were not 100% the best, but it is an all inclusive and not a Michelin star restaurant. Some of our meals were amazing and other left something to be desired or were just cold. It also felt like everything was a sale pitch- we got pressured pretty hard to upgrade our room to a swim up suite and we ended up caving and doing so. This ended up being worth it in the end because the swim up pool was much warmer and more comfortable than the main pool. There was also pressure to purchase things like bottles of alcohol to secure a private table for night shows and we were being sold the spa package and offered discounts over and over.
The housekeeping at this resort was incredible! They clean your room twice and day and do an amazing job. We felt really taken care of.
All in all, out stay was definitely a great time and we will be back after renovations are done!
