The Staff are wonderful. We really loved the entertainment staff, Coca Cola y Pablo. Manuel was my favorite bartender at the bar near the theater. We also love Ana at the ice cream shop, she’s so friendly and sweet.

I’ve been coming here for about 20 years and it’s always great. Excellent and attentive service, great food and drinks. The staff is friendly and welcoming. This recent trip we met a young gentleman that goes by the name of Coca Cola, from the animation staff, that immediately caught our attention and made us feel at home. Highly recommended!

Hands down the best resort we've ever been to. Rooms were clean and bright, the public washrooms were amazing clean, the food the best quality ever at any resort. Pools were clean and refreshing, and the warm ocean waves crashed down on the kids with amazing smiles all around. The staff were wonderful at every part of the resort, especially our buffet server Sofi. There is nothing bad we could say about it. We love it. An amazing Xmas gift.

Update: Yolanda, the manager, was kind enough to reach out to us regarding our poor experience and took the time to listen to our concerns as well as apologized for our substandard experience. She made the effort to rectify our dissatisfaction and made note of each of our concerns so as to improve them for the future. Despite our experience, we appreciate her following up and trying to make it up to us on our last day which made us feel better leaving this property Horrible experience. Iberostar Bavaro suites was one of the worst experiences at an all inclusive resort I’ve ever had. I never leave a negative review as most reviews are subjective but as someone who has travelled to other all inclusive resorts, this has not been up to par at all. -The suites offer no privacy, where you are surrounded by other suites that can see directly into your room and balcony, forcing you to keep the blinds closed at all times. The bathrooms have rust and you can tell the room is a bit aged. The set up looks more like an apartment complex than a luxury hotel. -The staff are generally rude, unwelcoming, inhospitable, and do not seem to want to help. Majority of guests are Spanish-speaking and I’m not sure if this is because we are American and don’t speak the language but hotel was extremely unaccommodating and quick to dismiss us. I don’t expect the local population to understand English as I am visiting their country, however, I do at an international hotel where you have guests from all over visiting. -Food was what you would expect at an all inclusive, variety with mediocre quality but good enough to enjoy so long as you remember you sacrifice quality for quantity. Best restaurant was Brave (steakhouse) and smokehouse on other property was pretty good. Also have BBQ snack station by pool that satisfies when you’re swimming. -Lunch buffet by pool is chaos with no direction and cafeteria style. Staff is rude and just look at you for the most part. -24 hour cafe near lobby, you can taste the negative health effects with every drink they make as they are so poor quality that you decide to not put that poison into your body. Staff kept yelling at us in Spanish to order and we had no idea what she was saying or that she was talking to us. -In summary, poor experience at a poorly managed hotel that is unaccommodating/unwelcoming/rude/poor quality even for an all-inclusive. Surprised they have 4.7, I’d recommend to stick to more expensive properties at Cap Cana or avoiding Dominican Republic in general

We have been staying at Iberostar resorts for the past 6 years and always love our stays. This time, the communication and ability to request basic things, such as soap in our room, was very bad. We had confirmed airport transfers three times before we arrived and they did not have it set up for us. They had to send someone to the airport and we had to wait over 40 minutes. Additionally, the soap ran out in our room and though we requested multiple times via the app, it took going to the front desk to request it to actually get the soap. The service at the restaurants was hit or miss. The Star Prestige members beach area had excellent service, as did the Hibachi restaurant. We also enjoyed all the activities and thought the entertainment staff did a great job to make our stay fun. The food was excellent as usual, and the beach pristine. Overall loved our stay but the communication needs some work.
