We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The room was great, spacious and clean. I would rank the quality and variety of food as good as anywhere we've been. Not a long ride to and from the airport. The beach was good with no problems finding an available seat, however the water directly in front of our hotel while we were there wasn't clean. No problem, we just strolled down the beach next door where the water was perfect. I don't fault the hotel for this especially when they had a tractor running daily cleaning up the sand. The pool was huge and with great seating if you are fine with partial shade. We had trouble finding any seating that would provide all-day sun. Every encounter with an employee was met with a smile and greeting!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this resort!
The resort itself was excellent and the amount of natural plant and animal life on site was amazing. The staff were all pleasant and very accommodating. Two people I would like to specifically mention are Luis Martinez from the Beach lobby and Jasmine from the membership office. Luis was very approachable and accommodating with us and it was nice to be able to have a number of honest and professional conversations with him. He is very charismatic and excellent at his job. Jasmine from the membership office was assigned to give us a sales pitch for a membership signup and what I appreciated most was her honesty and asking of us to be up front with whatever decision we made and never made us feel pressured into anything.
We enjoyed our stay at this resort and will definitely be returning to this or another one of the properties within the group.

This resort is honestly amazing! There’s wildlife everywhere so never a dull moment, the scenery is amazing!
Update: I got food poisoning from the French restaurant on my second night there along with my family. Couldn’t eat anything the rest of the week.

Our star friend Hector was absolutely amazing! He is very enthusiastic, hospitable, and friendly! Gabriel was also an amazing star friend. He danced with my father in-law and they had a blast. They both have great moves!
Our servers Francisco and Lucio are top notch. They are super attentive and extremely kind. Meeting all three of these staff was the highlight of our trip!

This is one of 5 resorts within the larger Iberostar property. This is a more affordable choice. The only real difference is you can't use a couple of restaurants and you don't have access to the wave pool or water slides. We didn't care about that so it didn't matter. The facility is very nice. The workers are excellent and very friendly. They are doing minor repairs in several locations so there's yellow caution tape around but not a big deal. The food is good. Not great. But there is a large variety to choose from. We stayed at the more expensive Maya portion of the resort 3 years ago, and I'm happy with our current choice. The cheaper area's buildings do not have elevators. Overall this is a very nice resort. The buildings fit into the setting better than big white hotels. The location is about 30 minutes from Cancun.
