We holidayed at the Lux Belle Mare at the end of September for 9 nights. We had the most amazing holiday. The hotel is immaculate and the staff are a credit to the hotel. The pool is huge. Always cleaned. Plenty of sun beds. You only had to press your service button on the parasol and one of the staff were straight out taking your order. We were all inclusive and it was worth every penny. The beach was about the best that we went on in Mauritius ( we did hire a car so saw many areas). The food and drinks were just wonderful. The cocktails on the all inclusive were great quality. The food was always delicious and plenty to chose from. Entertainment was hit and miss. That was the only slight negative. If we return to Mauritius I would stay here again as I think it is one of the best hotels on Mauritius. Thank you for an amazing holiday. Your staff are incredible.

Our visit was on 22-26 September, We stayed at 1202 Villa with a private pool, booked a king bedroom, with a sofa bed for my kids. The rooms and toilet are spacious and very clean. The friendly staff and assistants (especially Mr. Mahen and Mr. Kumar) were supportive and they definitely made our stay an amazing experience. They clean twice a day and bring complimentary food and a bottle drink at around 5-6 pm each day. My kids enjoyed the resort, and they have kids club with wonderful staff and a safe place to let them loose. They also have a sport centers, that have tennis, Playstation, billiards, chess, jenga.. And a small sitting area to watch soccer on tv. Our package includes half board, so, we tried the breakfast and the dinner buffet served at mondo is very delicious and we cannot get enough of it and the beat choice for kids. The beach rouge (Italian-seafood restaurant) is good, too. I totally recommend this place for families. And definitely worth a second visit.

First of all, the hotel is absolutely gorgeous – it feels so luxurious and special from the moment you arrive. The restaurants are outstanding; we particularly loved Amari and the Duck Laundry, and the Lux coffee bar quickly became a favorite. Billal and Krishnan make fantastic coffee, and they are such a pleasure to chat with – knowledgeable, friendly, and a real credit to your team. Above all, it’s the staff who truly make this hotel shine. Everyone we met was warm, welcoming, and attentive. It was clear to us why you have so many returning guests – the service is exceptional, and the people are what really set the experience apart.

We visited this hotel for 5 nights at the beginning of October as part of our honeymoon. Overall, we were very happy with our stay, would return, and would consider Lux proprieties elsewhere without hesitation. It’s an extremely luxurious version of a European all-inclusive resort, so if you like that, then you will love the Lux. Pros: - Beautiful, appealing public areas. Everything is so thoughtfully designed. The whole hotel just ‘flows’. For example, the main restaurant has been designed in such a way as to emphasise natural light without any seat being directly in the sun. - The beach is stunning. It really lives up to the photos. The loungers are also very comfortable! - The staff are very friendly and offer good service overall. I got a real sense that they were down-to-earth, yet professional, especially at reception and in the restaurants. - The all inclusive package was very good in our opinion, and quite reasonably priced considering what you get - relatively speaking to other hotels of a similar calibre. - Staff are very good at solving issues. We had an issue with our room cleanliness on the first day and the head of housekeeping (I think his name was Mushtaqeem?) dealt with it superbly, finding an excellent resolution. -The food is really great and the buffet has a huge selection. The Indian food was especially amazing. Cons: - The rooms are not quite as pristine as they appear on the website and on promotional materials. They are still very good, but they do not match the image presented 100%. They are clean, but there are bits here and there which are a less polished e.g. the grouting in the bathroom, some dust in less obvious places, etc. - Sometimes service in the main restaurant was slow and inconsistent in quality. I felt that there was quite a wide range of staff experience, and it was very clear when less experienced staff were assisting you. - All inclusive food options include the buffet and Beach Rouge - but the Beach Rouge dinner menu is basically identical the lunch menu, and it really is more of a lunch spot. This means it’s unlikely you would want to eat both lunch and dinner there on the same day. Therefore, unless you pay extra for the two special restaurants, you’re likely to be eating at the buffet most nights. Whilst the buffet is very good, I imagine this might get a bit repetitive if staying at the hotel for longer than a week.
