I had an absolutely wonderful stay at New York Hilton Midtown! The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable with stunning views of the city. The staff was extremely polite, helpful, and made us feel right at home. The location is perfect—close to major attractions, shopping, and dining options. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting New York. Truly a 5-star experience!

While the location and service staff are great, this is by no means a 4 star hotel. 100% of guests I met had difficulty and confusion calling an elevator. They’ve gone to a tablet call system that isn’t intuitive, doesn’t announce or display floors for all to see, nor indicates up or down direction except for slash screen on the tablet. I have stayed at several hotels with 50+ floors and this is the most frustrating, least efficient, system I have had the displeasure of using. I am tech savvy and I was confused. It’s so much worse than more analog systems that a bellman should be there. Worse still, they broke. Not the physical elevators but the controls wouldn’t let me call an elevator. So every single guest was using the stair well. Partial functionality was restored, but only up calls, not down. The rooms are decently sized with the essentials present. Mine had Chinese takeout left in the fridge from the previous guests and flaking clear coat in the fiberglass tub. Linens were clean and fresh, but many had peeling threads. Last - the lobby is so, so loud. More sound dampening would do a lot to make it more pleasant because you’ll be standing in line for a solid 10+ minutes to check in. At no fault of the counter staff, they’re working very hard, but there are simply too many in line. Finally, the lobby general store is so egregiously priced that you’ll get the full Yankee’s game experience right there as you pay $20 for 2 non-alcoholic beverages.

This was our first time staying in Manhattan while in NYC and this hotel was perfect for our family of 3. We had a corner room with a view of Radio City and that was such a treat we didn’t expect. Check in was a breeze and everyone was friendly. We loved the location as it wasn’t super loud but close enough to everything when you’re ready to venture out. There is shopping and a restaurant that we didn’t use but for a longer trip I could see using. We had no issues with access during uber drop off or pickup and the ladies helping clean our room were friendly and very efficient. Right when we got there we noticed our sink was clogged and I meant to tell the front desk but off we went for the day, returning to find it had already been taken care of. Our beds were very comfortable, the AC worked perfectly, and the room size was a dream. I will no doubt be staying here the next time I visit NYC

Rooms are dated and no refrigerator. The elevators are slow and packed. The stairs are wonky. The staff is amazing. The place is clean. The location is amazing. A few blocks from Times Square, Central Park, The Rockefeller Center and Radio City. Walking distance to the New York Public Library and the Empire State building. I would stay here again.

Shout out to Khalid helping with our bags, so kind & caring. Indhira at registration for helping us with our room, so sweet. And most importantly Pedro in the lobby lounge restaurant. Pedro is the man. So genuine, loves his career, loves making everyone feel welcome. He is so wonderful, that even if the hotel was sold out, we’d come eat at the lounge just for him. He goes above and beyond and is such a genuinely good human being. If anyone from Hilton is reading this, you can 100% be certain that Pedro is an incredible representative of the brand. Whatever recognition programs are in place, Pedro deserves it all. There were a number of hotel employees we saw in passing, but didn’t get their names, all wonderful as well. The staff really is 10/10 here. I would definitely stay again.
