This was our first stay at the Westgate and our experience was wonderful! The rooms were very spacious, clean, and had GREAT air conditioning. Beautifully renovated, easy 2 minute walk to Grand Central. Definitely will be staying here again.
The staff was absolutely phenomenal. Very professional and kind. They allowed us to leave our bags, as we arrived earlier than check in, so we were able to freely do our activities for the day. They helped us navigate the city, and overall were absolutely 5 stars to work with.
The only small inconvenience was the sofa bed was VERY squeaky, but there isn't much you can do about that as this is typical with these types of beds. But wouldn't hurt to see if they could be oiled a little to tamper the noise.

Westgate New York Grand Central hotel garners appreciation for its impeccably clean and modern rooms, with guests often commending the friendly and professional staff. The hotel's prime location is a hit among travelers, placing them close to key attractions like Grand Central and Times Square.
However, the experience is somewhat marred by noise complaints, room size issues, and additional fees that lead some to question the overall value. While the hotel's elegant design creates a comfortable atmosphere, the lack of in-house dining and nightlife options leaves some guests underwhelmed.

Absolutely Horrible Experience!
I recently stayed at this hotel with my friends, and I can't express how disappointed we were. From the moment we arrived, the service was atrocious. The worst part? My friend accidentally brushed her teeth with water that was contaminated—yes, you read that right, poop water!
When we brought this to the staff's attention, they did offer to switch our room, but it was already late, and we decided to stay put for the night. We were told we could switch the next day. However, when we returned to the front desk the next morning, they completely backtracked on their offer! They claimed it was our fault for not switching rooms the night before, which was utterly ridiculous.
The staff was not only unhelpful but also downright rude. This place has some serious issues with customer service, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to stay!

This is a great hotel option for the price. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Staff is friendly and welcoming. However, the walls are paper thin and the room we had was connected to the room next door via a locked door. I felt like I was sharing an apartment with the next door guest.

The location is very out of the way and I didn’t feel safe walking around. My king size bed was a Murphy bed. So now it is overpriced for a Murphy bed. The additional charges they add on to help them overcome covid are ridiculous. They shouldn’t be allowed to do that because I’m also trying to overcome covid and not getting extra money. Employees are very nice, but that’s not enough. I won’t be back.
