We just spent a week at Le Saint Geran and it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had as a family of four. The hotel was recently renovated in October 2024 and one of the highlights from the reno is the Guerlain spa - there’s an adult only pool that you can access (even if you haven’t booked any treatments) and the place is a calm and serene oasis with a wide array of treatments on offer. Aside from the spa, the resort is gorgeous and our rooms had the most beautiful view of the beach and you could hear the waves at night lulling you to sleep. The rooms are very spacious (we had two connecting rooms) and each had a little terrace area. This hotel, while upscale, is super family friendly - they treated our kids like royalty! There’s a kids club that accepts drop offs from age 3 (most other hotels are from age 4) and they keep the kids super engaged and entertained with a ton of activities from pool, tennis, cooking class and arts and crafts. You can leave them for as little or as long as you want and they can even have lunch and dinner there. Kids under 5 eat free at the resort and they also offer free laundry during your stay for kids - a complete lifesaver! The food in the resort was amazing - La Terrase is where they serve the buffet breakfast (and it’s such a spread - you’ll have a hard time choosing what to eat) and they also have dinner buffet as well, which was great for us as the kids could choose what they wanted to eat. The buffet dinner has a theme each night of the week so you get to taste different cuisines throughout your stay. We also tried their Japanese fusion restaurant Tapasake as well as their pop-up Greek restaurant Hellene - dinner at the Greek was maybe one of my favorite meals of our stay. The service everywhere at the hotel was top-notch and all the staff there were super friendly. We spent New Year’s Eve at the resort and they go all out - starting with a champagne cocktail, followed by a gala dinner at La Terrase where the buffet offerings include lobster and wagyu beef. They had set up a whole dance floor at the beach and at midnight you had front row views to some amazing fireworks. All in all, an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait for us to go back.

It’s our first time in Mauritius and we decided to split our stay between One & Only and Lux* Gran Baie. We really loved One &Only, the service was amazing everywhere, the rooms are spacious with great views especially if you get ground floor with sun lounges and direct access to the beach. There is great attraction to detail like mosquito repellents in a room, WhatsApp chat with concierge who can organise pretty much anything for you, small local presents from hotel everyday at turndown service, complimentary late check out (and we didn’t even had to ask for it!!) A lot of water sports are free like water skies and daily snorkelling trips and glass bottom trips. Out of all restaurants we really loved Japanese restaurant, the food was amazing and it’s right by the water. The hotel is very child friendly with kids club and somehow even during high season it didn’t feel crowded. The only one disadvantage it has is beach. There is a lot of seaweed, there are people cleaning beach non-stop all day, but unfortunately water is still not 100% clear. But to be honest it was such a small thing and we still had a lovely time at the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

It absolutely cannot get better than this - pure luxury and exceptional services. While the hotel is carefully groomed, with well-designed rooms, top notch amenities, and exquisite food and products - what truly stands out with the One & Only Le Saint Gérant is its people. The staff and management truly go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed, comfortable, respected and frankly spoiled! Surprises, presents and personalized treats were provided at any moment of our stay. To name a few great people: we were thrilled by all the personalized services provided by Prunella and Kiran making sure we got all the right restaurant and activities bookings (up to an extra portion of cannelé in the room!). Ashwin at the gym is absolutely wonderful and extremely professional in his personal fitness coaching services (even in the case of injury recovery!). Vinod at La Pointe makes the best margaritas and pisco sour and truly is a wonderful host. Kenny organises and guides the best diving tours on the island with zero compromise on safety. We came for a very short stay, but one thing is sure - we are definitely coming back, and this time for longer.

Disgusting service. My gold ring that I have had for 12 years was stollen. We only found this out two hours before we had to fly out to South Africa so there was no time to do a police report. Now the hotel will not take responsibility for it. Thieves are going around stealing valuable items at the guests rooms. I would like the hotel to either arrange a virtual police report or pay me back for the ring. No care was given. I would have never expected this from such an exclusive resort. This was our second trip and we will not be coming back again. Thieves as room cleaners!!!!
