Our Vacation at The Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort was a Magical and Awesome experience. The staff were the warmest, sweetest and most incredibly helpful people to make our stay so memorable. The massive buffet was magnificent, the dishes were so delicious and we recognized the detail and exceptional planning it must have taken to put on all those mouthwatering dishes together each and everyday. The restaurants within the resort were also wonderful to experience. We will most definitely come back someday. Thank you so much to ALL the people of The Royalton Riviera. We Loved it so much! ❤️🥳❤️🤩

The biggest negative for us was the strong smell of sewage right at the entrance to their huge buffet restaurant. The food from the buffet was very good! We just had to sit way at the end of the dining room so we wouldn’t smell sewer while we were eating. It was really bizarre and we have no idea where it was coming from. Our room walls also seemed almost paper thin, but I’m not sure how you do a better job sound proofing at this point.
On a positive note, we did love the pools, restaurants, drinks, bar tenders, servers and butlers.
Overall we had a great time but won’t be going back anytime soon.

Absolutely ruined my vacation, booked a king with ocean view got double queens for me and my wife and a view of a roof and a lobby then told repeatedly by the front desk it's an ocean view (see photo). All the buffet food is cold. You can't get a reservation at any of the restaurants unless you book 3 days in advance. The room smelled of mold and was told I couldn't be moved for 3 days. The bathroom door didn't lock the balcony door, didn't close, or lock. The safe, didn't work. The worst part is being told to live with it until the final 2 days of the trip. Don't waste your money

This royalton is a huge resort, the open concept is beautiful. The property itself is beautiful.
The rooms weren’t as bad as some reviews say. The drinks could’ve been better.
During our time here we only got to eat at the buffet because other restaurants did not have reservations, or AC and the food overall was a 6/10.
The buffet had a weird sewer smell, as did the water! It seems they do not keep up with the water treatments.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but they can work on the air conditioning in the buffet & other restaurants, and the water treatments.

The staff goes above and beyond to make your trip.
The food is excellent at most places.
Beach could be better cause of moderate amount of seaweed but the sand is very nice.
Pools and facilities are everywhere. Shows and nightly entertainment are great.
Second time here and will be back!
