Hello Royalton Trelawny,
We stayed at your resort for our Wedding Anniversary from December 22-24th 2024. I must say that we had a superb time. Upon arrival the front desk agent seems like she was forcing herself to smile with us. We payed upon arrival for the room and when asked for a receipt she seemed surprised 😮. Anyways we did not let that stop us . The security at the main gate was very professional 🥰. The restaurant staff always seemed sad. There was a restaurant hostess who we met last year on our first visit she is now serving at the sports bar, she has an excellent personality and seems to love ❤️ her job. The jerk chicken at the beach grill was not well done, it was a big turned off because we had to waste two plates of chicken. At the buffet all the chef seems sad only one woman on our last day smiled with us at the omelet station, I gave her a compliment knowing she was doing a great job and was welcoming. Our housekeeper was very welcoming and also the guest service staff, two lovely young ladies both have Chris at the front of their names. They arranged amenities and a banner for our room, we appreciate it very much because we booked the Diamond Club package last year and didn’t get anything but a banner with unprofessional service. The bed in the room was very cozy and comfortable not to mention the cleanliness of the resort. The hotel didn’t seem busy and most of the staff looked carefree chatting loudly with each other in guest areas especially at the beach bars and grills. On our last day the front desk contacted us multiple times before 12:00 about leaving the room for check out 😮…….Apart from the negative things we had a great time.

The resort is nice. The people are friendly. I wouldn’t advise spending your money on this resort especially the diamond club. There is a lack of activities and shows at the resort. Things were scheduled but never happened. The butlers are aren’t worth the money you barely see them, never even saw one our first day here. The restaurants are always out of one things that are on the menu example waffles are on the menu for breakfast but when ordered they say they don’t have any. Or at the steakhouse brisket is on the menu and there’s no brisket this was a running theme at the all the restaurant. Today the restaurant ran out of almost every breakfast item literally. The drinks are watered down and they too are always out of champagne or whiskey for the drinks a lot of we don’t have that or we ran out. Most of the food was tasteless and the room service menu is laughable. The beach is beautiful and the pools are nice.
I wouldn’t recommend this resort unless you want to starve. “ Don’t pay for diamond club” there are any exclusive perks or restaurants the butlers do not and will reserve your cabanas or beach chairs. The premium liquors is a lie you get the same as everyone else.The bar in the room that we paid extra for was empty. There are only 3 excursions that are offered, a taxi to the shopping area or to Montego Bay will run you 100 usd . After 12 there isn’t any to eat or drink. Each day there was someone who was fixing one thing or another that was broken. The staff talks about how cheap the hotel is and how the food is horrible and there isn’t anything to do.

Our stay at this hotel was far from the advertised "5-star luxury." Management showed no accountability—Omari dismissed concerns, Jeffrey avoided us, and Sergio ignored issues despite being on-site. Dining was unsafe, with cold meals, raw pork, and reused cutlery. Drinks ran out regularly, served in stained plastic glasses, and wine options were poor. Our Junior Suite sea view was cramped, lacked basics, and had no hot water. Facilities were poorly maintained, with broken amenities and safety hazards ignored. The "adults-only" claim is false; families with children used exclusive areas. Diamond Club was a waste, with shortages, rationing, and non-members accessing it. Staff morale was low due to poor working conditions. This hotel is mismanaged, under-resourced, and does not meet its advertised standards. Save your money and book elsewhere.

Second time at the Royalton in Trelawny and first time at the Hideaway. The first time was during Covid so there were quite a few limitations. We decided to try them again after getting a good price for Black Friday.
The rooms are nice and clean however the houskeeping was inconsistent. Amenties were not replaced when finished, the minifridge was never topped up during our stay.
Service around the pool area was also lacking. I think theres too few people serving a big area. The bar tenders in the lobby bar were the best in the resort in my opinion.
The food was good but the drinks are less premium than other nearby resorts at similar price point.
In our two visits the beach was rough both times but we heard its calm most times.
The highlight of our stay was the Culinary Experience. Even though its an extra cost, its really worth it. We had Chef Oneil who was magnificent.
All in all for the sale price it was okay but at full price I would go elsewhere.

Check in through the Diamond Club was fast. The staff are generally friendly however, I would not recommend this resort to anyone. The first night the resort did not have running water or A/C for about an hour. The menus at every restaurant are limited, the drinks are extremely watered down (this was a huge disappointment) bring your own alcohol if you can. Our first butler, Nick was okay. Our second Butler Brian was absolutely horrible. Room service is a joke. Housekeeping staff were nice and efficient, but the room needed some work done/upgrades. our lock was broken, the lamp didn't work, and the sliding doors to the bathroom were about to come off of the hinges. Some of the food at the resort is good. I enjoyed the patties at Calypso and the jerk chicken peas and rice were good. The buffet wasn't bad. Overall the food was just okay, I've had better food in Jamaica. Some of the staff members act like they don't want to be there. The beach is great, the spa is great (ask for Roma if you want a massage).
