We stayed here for a destination wedding.
This place is easily a 5 star resort. The butler service alone was over the top. We were upgraded from a swim up room to a two story ocean view room, with a hot tub on our balcony. While we were at dinner, our butler packed our bags and moved everything to our new room. He then unpacked everything and meticulously folded everything.
The spa service was incredible. My wife and I got the full treatment, from a couples massage, to sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge tubs, and more.
The only thing they need to work on is front desk service for check in.
I would definitely recommend this place.

We went to TRS & stayed at the romance bungalow suite during the week of our wedding at White Sands, and Angel & Antonio were our butlers.
The room quality was fantastic and both Antonio & Angel were absolutely amazing. They responded so actively and were willing to address all our needs. Outside of the service they provided, the room was fantastic and we enjoyed our stay.
My wife and I are eagerly keen on return for our 1 yr anniversary. I highly recommend everyone try staying at the TRS yucatan, both food, pools, and beach locations are marvelous with a wonderful staff service provision that maximizes the experience for everyone.

Me and my wife chose this as our honeymoon destination, and are both glad we did. Both have enjoyed our 2 weeks here, the food has been great, the facilities have been spot on although most of our time was spent at the infinity pool.
The restaurants have been amazing, the standard of food served has been quality, of course we had our favourite (Tentazione - Italian).
We stayed in villa 68 room 6824, so would like to give a massive shout out to Carlos our butler, he made us feel welcome every time he was here, any problem or query we had was sorted straight away. Carlos is one of the nicest people we have met at the resort, he was always a friendly face to see (even on the days of rain). If we come back he would be a big factor on that decision, so we would definitely be asking to be in villa 68 again.
Evening entertainment is a bit sparse in the TRS section and whatever was on seemed to start a bit later than what we are use to, however we did book in for the chic cabaret which is a must do at least once during a stay at the resort.

Pros:
The resort is beautiful, rooms are lovely, amenities are great and security is good.
Cons:
The food is mediocre at best
You can't get a dinner reservation at a decent hour unless you are really lucky.
Even if you are told that you can't get in to a restaurant, you can slip the Hostess $10 and they will get you in right away.
There is no beach area right at the TRS, however it is not too far to walk to.
Anyone having their wedding here, will have to do more micro-managing than they want to, or should have to.
When checking in to my room, there was a dirty mattress on the floor.
A few days later, a dirty rag was left on the handle of my shower door.
Summary:
Overall, for a resort that refers to itself as "Luxury" which also implies a higher level of service, the TRS Yucatan falls very short.
Don't' get me wrong, there were over 40 of us there for a wedding and we had a blast, but there was not one of us that said we would return. Definitely NOT worth the hefty price tag.

It was our first time in TRS Yucatan and we were amazed by the quality of service and attention to detail this resort has! Although it is quite far from downtown Cancun (around 2 hours), it was well worth the travel. We could tell that the staff loves their job because they are always happy to go above and beyond for us and delivered top quality service every time. We stayed in a suite with private pool, and the room was very clean and modern. Our butlers, Alexis & Israel, were very attentive and took care of everything we need including room service, ordering rides to go to different parts of the resort (because it is huge!), and booking our dinner reservations. I’ve been to a lot of all inclusive resorts but this is the only one I would want to come back to!
