We enjoyed our stay at UNICO 20°87° Hotel Riviera Maya. We arrived a few days ahead of a family wedding at the resort. Our room overlooked the main pool. It was large, comfortable and clean and had a balcony with a tub. It was noisy during when they were playing dance music but otherwise quiet. The food was good everywhere - in contrast to our other experience at an all-inclusive. The breakfast buffet was extensive and not crowded even when the resort was full. We tried the Italian, Japanese and Mexican restaurants and we were pleased with the quality and selection. Portions are generous without being overwhelming. As we were at the resort over year-end reservations were necessary but our concierge handled that for us. Staff were all friendly and efficient. Service around the pool could be a bit erratic when the resort was busy but this was not a big issue. The front desk staff in particular were very helpful when we had to contact our tour operator to organize our pick-up. The gym is good - enough equipment and space to cater for a variety of workouts. The resort handled the wedding very professionally. Someone told us there were four weddings that day but we didn't notice the others. We should have avoided the over-long sales pitch for the membership program - but that's our fault and at least my wife enjoyed her free massage in the beautiful spa.

My wife and I stayed at Unico for 6 days over Christmas. Overall it was an absolutely fantastic trip. We've stayed at 5 different all inclusive resorts in Mexico and this is probably the best so far. The service was top notch. From the moment we got there we were treated like family. The food was by far the best of any resort that we've been to. We went to all the restaurants and didn't have an underwhelming meal. Some of the portion sizes are a little small (tacos) but that was the only small negative we had with the food and drink. I also want to say their steaks were wonderful. Good cuts, perfect temps, excellent flavor. The beach is absolutely beautiful as well. Perfect white sand beach, few rocks as you walk out to the ocean. My one complaint is there doesn't seem to be enough beach chairs. We had to "reserve" chairs before we went to breakfast because they were all taken by 830am. We saw a ton of people walking by looking for seats but couldn't get one. I would highly recommend Unico looking for an all inclusive resort with good food and a beautiful beach.

The hotel has great accommodations and attention to detail. The room are spacious, beds are comfortable and the service is great. Very clean and well organized, it is a small and quiet resort, aside from a few short shows a few nights the entertainment is not great. The beach is very nice and clean but very limited sitting spaces and are mostly reserved by hotel members. The food was okay, did not meet the expectations we had, and got food poisoned on the last night at the resort. The stay was okay but definitely wouldn’t return .

Unico 20°87° exceeded all my expectations! The resort is absolutely stunning, and the food and drinks were truly some of the best I’ve ever had—every bite and sip was perfection. The rooms were immaculate, and having a swim-up pool took the experience to a whole new level of luxury and relaxation. It felt magical from start to finish. Worth every single penny—I can’t recommend it enough!

The staff and hotel were stunning. The pools and area were well kept. It was magical. Relaxing, energized and zen. The spa was incredible, we had one of the best massages ever and the gym had all equipment and classes imaginable. The food was exquisite and everything was so fresh and made at the time of order. We would go back in a heartbeat.
