Just returned home from UNICO, and overall the hotel is beautiful and the food and ambiance at each restaurant was amazing. The cafe is super cute, too. The service was top notch. It was great for a 4 night stay, would not probably do much longer given size of the resort. Some things were amiss, noted below, Pros: -Wonderful and prompt service -most all staff were friendly and accommodating -Restaurants were all delicious -24 hour room service - beautiful beach - the quiet pool is beautiful and calm - nice room and spa tub on deck - each restaurant had its own unique cocktail menu Cons: -our ocean view room literally included a sliver of visual ocean -3 or 4 of the treadmills were out of service for our 5 day stay, leaving only 2 treadmills that were always taken whenever we visited the gym. Fitness is important to us and we chose a report specifically with a fitness center, so this was disappointing. There were a few other machines out of order as well - You should make all your dinner reservations before you arrive or you will have slim pickings - 2 of the 3 pools feel like hot tubs, even earlier in the day. - not much nightly entertainment -they packed the shared transportation to the airport as full as possible, not fun. -clean towels ran out by the pool - this was the worst part- a lengthy check in, which after hours of traveling was the last thing we wanted to do. They set you up with someone that makes you think they’re giving you the low down on the resort, but they’re really going to end it by asking you to join an info session, that they promise isn’t a timeshare, but feels exactly like every other timeshare push, but worse. We said no at least three times while the person continued to badger us. Being sold something, in such an aggressive and deceitful way, was a bad way to start off a trip.

This is my second stay at Unico. The customer service is top-notch! The food was delicious. Being an adults only resort made the vacation very nice. There are lots of pools and bars and restaurants and activities. One of my favorite things was the craft night at 6 PM every evening by the lobby bar. Highly recommend.

This was our first all inclusive resort experience. We came here based on the recommendation of our travel agent and friends. It is very nice and the staff is super great and very helpful. The food is tremendous and plentiful. The pools are nice and pool side service is awesome. Our pool concierge, Maria, was always smiling and had our lounge chairs ready each morning and would stop by regularly to check on us. Our pool side servers, Lucia and Jorge, were equally tremendous, never letting us run out of refreshments or food. Overall, it was a great experience. Aside from the pool, food and drinks, there is no kind of entertainment on site. One night, they did have live music in the lounge area. But, apart from that, you have to leave the premises. Also, their check in process takes far too long and they try to sell you on their vacation club membership. The actual beach area is small, so don't go expecting much there. If I were to return, I likely wouldn't spend more than 3 nights here, simply because we got bored.

Visited this all inclusive on a work trip. The grounds were immaculate, very clean and very upscale. The shopping was great as they have an entire wing of the resort setup for whatever your needs are. The beach is absolutely stunning and the pools were perfect. The food was very good, room service took a little longer than we liked but it was delicious and the drinks were 10/10. Every all inclusive I visit seems to have slow wait staff, not here. The bartenders and staff around the pools were always available and on top of your order. Very pleased, very impressed.

This is my happiest place on earth. The food, the comfort of the bed, the drinks, the absolutely incredible staff and the beach make this an absolute haven. There's a lot of negative reviews on the beach, However there is a beautiful white sandy patch just past the resort to the left. The water gets crystal clear when it is calm only a few feet out and so many reef areas to snorkel and explore. To the right of the resort you will find a massage hut. It is not associated to the resort, but also incredible. The vibe is quiet, you may be disappointed if you like a livelier scene.
