Very good hotel. The location is perfect. We were there for 5 days in December and would choose the hotel again at any time. The queues at breakfast are minimal. The rooms are perfect and clean. The staff are really friendly and always helpful. We can only recommend this hotel. The only thing is that the return of the deposit takes ages. We are still waiting.

Staying at this place was simple and a lot nicer than other hotels in the area. However, I think the employees could be a little kinder to the guests (specifically the people at the front desk.) The bellman are always nice and handle your baggage with care. The rooms are definitely something else, our beds were so close together that it didn’t even seem like there was 2 twin sized beds and just 1 queen. The location, however, is perfect. It took us only maybe 10 minutes or so to get to time square.

Room is really clean and the location of this hotel is amazing! The 3/5 stars for the room is because the bathroom door doesn’t fully close so there is not a lot of privacy. The breakfast area is also way to crowded to properly enjoy your breakfast.

This was our first time staying at a Riu. I was thoroughly impressed, check in was fast online and easy. The staff were very knowledgeable and kind. Our room was spotless, extremely clean, well kept our entire stay. They changed the linens each day, refilled toilet paper etc. You do have to pay for water bottles but their local market has them for $2 each. Which isn’t bad in NY. We had a beautiful view on their top floor (which was nice because we didn’t have to worry about hearing too much traffic/noise being in Times Square). They also had a giant breakfast buffet included. The options were limitless, from cereal, fresh fruit station, bagels, croissants, donuts, muffins etc. They even had pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hash browns. So plenty of options for those who have kids that are picky. However, I do recommend going between 7-8am if you arrive later the line can be rather long, and chaotic. We loved our stay and will probably book again for next year. The location was perfect and made it easy to walk to Rockefeller to see the tree for the holidays, and the local markets. Although don’t be a rookie like us and walk everyday. Take the subway if it’s more than 5 blocks! lol.

Friendly professional staff; hotel common spaces and rooms were very clean; perfect location with easy access to Broadway theaters and great restaurants; includes breakfast buffet with good food and lots of healthy choices; no water fountains in the common areas or in the gym. To fill your water bottle, visit the cafe in the lobby and the nice people who work there will help you.
Room:
Our King room was small but adequate - about 10’x12’ plus bathroom; upgraded to King bed; bed and bedding were very comfortable; floor to ceiling windows w great views of NYC.
Bathroom:
No vent fan in bathroom (and a very small hotel room means the smells linger!); hot water to shower was very slow; the wall between the bathroom and the bed is frosted glass so when showering, sometimes you can see a silhouette through the glass which can be embarrassing! The hair dryer was mounted next to the toilet and could be a shock hazard if dropped.
Gym:
Small but adequate, nice equipment, but no water available (what???) To fill your water bottle, visit the cafe in the lobby and the nice people who work there will help you.
