Staying at this place was simple and a lot nicer than other hotels in the area. However, I think the employees could be a little kinder to the guests (specifically the people at the front desk.) The bellman are always nice and handle your baggage with care. The rooms are definitely something else, our beds were so close together that it didn’t even seem like there was 2 twin sized beds and just 1 queen. The location, however, is perfect. It took us only maybe 10 minutes or so to get to time square.

A fantastic hotel experience from start to finish. The Riu was clean, smart and easy to navigate. Times Square was less than a 5 minute walk away, so it is in the perfect location for a trip in the city. We especially loved the view from our window, it screamed quintessential New York. We also loved the breakfast buffet, there were lots of food options.
We have absolutely no complaints and would love to stay here again!

This was our first time staying at a Riu. I was thoroughly impressed, check in was fast online and easy. The staff were very knowledgeable and kind. Our room was spotless, extremely clean, well kept our entire stay. They changed the linens each day, refilled toilet paper etc. You do have to pay for water bottles but their local market has them for $2 each. Which isn’t bad in NY. We had a beautiful view on their top floor (which was nice because we didn’t have to worry about hearing too much traffic/noise being in Times Square). They also had a giant breakfast buffet included. The options were limitless, from cereal, fresh fruit station, bagels, croissants, donuts, muffins etc. They even had pancakes, bacon, eggs, and hash browns. So plenty of options for those who have kids that are picky. However, I do recommend going between 7-8am if you arrive later the line can be rather long, and chaotic. We loved our stay and will probably book again for next year. The location was perfect and made it easy to walk to Rockefeller to see the tree for the holidays, and the local markets. Although don’t be a rookie like us and walk everyday. Take the subway if it’s more than 5 blocks! lol.

Great location. Good rooms. Fantastic breakfast. Bar staff on our first night were very slow. We didn't go back.
Would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but then we wouldn't have ventured out and discovered Carve unique just across the street.

We tried booking a family room for 5 but was told we would have to book 2 rooms due to the booking size so my son decided not to come with us due to the extra cost. Upon arriving we noticed there was 2 double beds and a double sofa bed which annoyed my wife. The hotel itself was really clean with great friendly staff. The food selection was good for breakfast with plenty to choose from. The bar was great. The Only thing we didn't like was the bathroom with frosted glass so everytime i or my older daughter got a shower we had to leave the room as you could see straight through the frosted glass. Our friends was in the same situation so we tried timing it perfectly so we could go for a beer whilst the girls got showered apart from that the rooms would of got a 5*
