We stayed here for 4 nights, 2 adults and 9 year old. The grounds are SO beautiful and well kept, the staff are amazing. Rooms have great air con and wifi, they are spotless and cleaned every day.
Breakfast at Byrd House had many options and was delicious. It does get busy around 8-9 and can be hard to get a table as people stay there for a very long time but it is a great breakfast. We also had lunch, drinks and snacks at Byrd House on the beachfront which, while not the cheapest, you can understand why as it was top quality and a great atmosphere. Room service was also great.
There is a main pool near the restaurant which has a good vibe with the music, a quieter pool towards the back, a “swim up” bar (although it’s small with seats around it so you don’t actually swim there). We never had a problem getting a chair near a pool.
We had bungalow 462 which is at the back of the hotel so a further walk to the restaurant and pools but it was so private and peaceful. I’ve seen reviews that say the club is noisy over the weekend but we couldn’t hear it at all from our area - can understand it would be annoying for those closer to the front of the resort.
Great location with a million restaurants nearby, right on the beach, Icon mall a few minutes walk away which I know some people disagree with but I found it really interesting and my daughter loved visiting!
Added bonuses were welcome drinks, cookies left on your bed every night and free fruit skewers around the pool at times. Playground for kids and a ping pong table.
Overall a really beautiful place. We will definitely stay here next time we’re in Sanur!

A Disappointing Experience at Segara Village Hotel, Sanur
This is the first negative review I have ever felt compelled to write. Unfortunately, my experience at Segara Village Hotel was deeply disappointing compared to other Bali resorts, this was by far the worst.
The biggest issue was the repeatedly poor customer service and intrusive policies. On two consecutive nights, hotel staff called my bungalow at 9:00 PM to demand immediate payment for a coconut drink I'd had at the resort pool during the day and the next night, for an extra room reception they'd earlier assured me would be charged to my credit card they had on file.
This was not only inconvenient but also inconsiderate. I had a sleeping three-year-old granddaughter in my room. The issue stemmed from their own internal mismanagement: earlier in the day, I was asked for my room number instead of payment when ordering at the pool. Rather than resolving this in a professional and guest-friendly manner, they panicked at night and disturbed my peace. Shockingly, over a $3 NZ coconut water, my offer to settle the bill in the morning was refused and a staff member turned up at my door with a mobile cash machine.
As a company director, I recognize when a business has serious operational flaws, and Segara Village Hotel’s payment system is poorly managed. Chasing guests late at night over small charges is both unprofessional and unacceptable.
Bali is known for its warmth and hospitality, but sadly, this hotel felt more like Disneyland without a heart. Polished on the surface but completely lacking in genuine care for its guests.

Beautiful stay and in a perfect location. The staff were friendly there was plenty for us to do and the pools never felt crowded. The Byrd house is just beautiful to stare at and the food was brilliant.
Only a 5 min walk from icon mall which is a great place to escape the heat.
The bungalow we stayed in was spacious and clean.
The property is stunning and there is a large group of staff that are constantly keeping it in pristine condition.

We picked this hotel as the first few days in our 1 month Bali trip, even though the weather is pretty bad and we got our flight cancelled, the warm welcome from the staff and compensation of the missing 1 night is good enough for us to still stay on the positive side. Because hotel allows us to use the one night fee as credit to spend in the hotel we tried both spa and several times to restaurant. The pool is nice and they have reasonable kids play ground and a small kindergarten. During the rainy season this villa type of place very hard to keep dry so for me I can’t have a good night sleep but I think nothing to complain for the hotel. Worth to mention, The roundabout in front of the hotel entrance is very narrow and the design of the hotel entrance is not luggage friendly.

Not recommended: Segara Village Hotel has a nice setting with beautiful gardens, but there are many areas that need improvement. The rooms are not soundproof, so you can hear everything your neighbors do, which makes it far from a kid-friendly place. Our shower leaked every time we used it, and despite reporting the issue, it was never properly fixed—they either tried or just pretended to. Very poor customer service: staff asking for tips directly!!!
The property includes a restaurant, a bakery, and a beachside restaurant. However, I do not recommend the beach restaurant, as they served water containing dust and sand. When I raised this issue with the staff at the bar, they simply laughed and spoke among themselves in their local language. As a breastfeeding mother, I would not recommend this place—be sure to buy bottled water.
Massage: the worst I have ever had in my life. If you have any injuries- run from that place. I reminded them couple times and they were trying to massage the injured area three times.
Additionally, the facilities are not stroller-friendly, making it difficult to move around. While the location is good, they accommodate russian guests, and worst of all, they allow them to smoke freely throughout the property. For this hotel money don’t smell!!
Overall, it’s not the worst place, but it is definitely not family-friendly, especially for those with babies.**

Beautiful grounds right on the beach. Amenities are ample and luxurious. Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms could do with a bit of love - air con wouldn’t cool room below 25°C so was a bit warm trying to sleep at night. We did flag this but it wasn’t rectified. The bathroom also had a lot of limescale and black mould. I appreciate this is hard to keep on top of in a humid climate but you would expect better from a five star resort.
Breakfast was brilliant, so much choice and all the food and drink were fresh and high quality.

Very nice larger hotel in Nusa Dua. Good location next to the beach. We had 2 connecting rooms, 1 for us and 1 for the children. The rooms were clean and good. We lacked conditioner and body lotion though. The only slightly negative thing is that the hotel is somewhat remote but of one has chosen an all inclusive package that shouldn't be an issue. The breakfast was very large and offered alot of different dishes from around the world. The kids loved the deeper pools. The pool bar happy hour was also a nice touch!

Must admit the rooms do need an update, but everything else about the hotel is fantastic. Beach location, 3 pools - one with swim up bar & beautiful well kept gardens. The food at all restaurants was 5 star, breakfast buffet with so much choice & food served everywhere well presented and delicious. Staff throughout the hotel, always said hello & were friendly and helpful. As you can tell absolutely loved my stay!!

This is a really lovely hotel that is made by its staff. We received a warm welcome with traditional Balinese dance in front of their stunning Balinese traditional gate. Throughout the hospitality of the people of Bali was on full display, I cannot praise the staff enough.
Some points for improvement: the rooms are incredibly basic and dated. Bare walls, broken air conditioning that wasn’t fixed despite raising it, hard beds and worn out bathrooms. The TV is old and not a smart TV, disappointing during rainy season where an hour in the room during a storm would be appreciated. Those little extras were just missing for example, we only had two tiny free bottles of water a day, that’s not ideal in a country where you can’t drink the tap water and is at times unbearably hot. There’s is nowhere nearby to buy water other than the bar, which is marked up price wise. Definitely not a 5* room, more 3*.
As for the location, it’s incredibly safe and private in a gated tourist area. The beaches are nice and clean (by bali standards) and all the restaurants were excellent. Breakfast was a highlight! The resort itself is beautiful and we especially enjoyed the spa pool and lagoon pool.

Absolutely amazing hotel. We stayed in Bali for a week and this was so pleasant. Booked with luxury escapes so we got all inclusive deals and our favourite restaurant was the tamarind. View of the private beach and amazing food, what more could you ask for? The all inclusive deal was amazing because you got all food, 3 hour free flow drinks, 2 massages, photoshoot, basically everything. We were absolutely impressed and will be returning later in the year. Thanks for such an amazing experience.

My recent stay at The Sakala Resort Nusa Dua was nothing short of extraordinary. This 5-star resort exceeded my expectations in every way, but it was the staff's warmth and genuine hospitality that truly made our stay unforgettable.
Our lower-ground unit was immaculately clean and well-maintained, with every detail carefully considered. But it was the resort's facilities that truly shone:

I loved everything about this resort!! From the super friendly and accommodating staff to the marvelous breakfast I enjoyed every morning. The staff at breakfast make it their business to learn your name. They greet you with such joy! The food was a smorgasbord of breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Everything was delicious.
We didn’t have an itinerary but the staff connected us with everything we wanted to do. I love this place and you will too!

We had a two-night stay at this hotel, and overall it was quite enjoyable. The hotel has a stunning lobby and an amazing outdoor pool with a poolside bar where you can order drinks and food while relaxing in the pool. However, there's room for improvement in the bar menu, as the cocktail options were limited, and the bartenders, although friendly, could benefit from expanding their drink-making knowledge. The room was clean, and we loved its beautiful design.
Breakfast was excellent, with many options to choose from. The restaurant's layout was a bit inconvenient, as different food sections were spread far apart, requiring multiple trips back and forth. Consolidating the food into one area would greatly improve the dining experience.
Regarding location, being right by the beach was a plus, but the hotel is rather far from the city, making it a bit inconvenient for those looking to enjoy the nightlife. Despite this, I would still recommend this hotel, as our overall experience was pleasant and enjoyable.

As a former Ritz Carlton culinary management employee in the US, I believe I can corroborate that the Sakala Hotel is absolutely a 5 stars establishment.
Me and my family spent last weekend there and everything was top notch.
Incredible staff attention, a beautiful and great size room, good food, and amazing location.
Major plus for parents is their kids club where the kiddos really had fun and didn't want to leave, which really allowed my wife and I to enjoy our time even more.
First time there, but definitely not the last.
The whole family is looking forward to staying there again !

Beware of the cancellation policy prior to booking. We made a booking at this hotel for July 2025 and believe that the promise of a private beachfront hotel are quite exaggerated with only a small sectioned off area to fit that criteria. We asked for a refund and were told no, as per their booking policy. I have since asked twice for an explanation as to why they cannot refund and have not received a response. Had I booked with a secondary site such as booking.com etc... the price was fully refundable, but when booking direct, you are not entitled. Be very, very careful and vigilant when booking direct. Your money is much safer through a secondary site.

Deluxe Garden Villa was lovely and quiet. Housekeeping and reception staff amazing. They did our laundry beautifully, and cookies before bed. Buffet breakfast was amazing so much choice and good coffee and juices, breads galore and even fondue fountain for the kids. The only thing was service at the main restaurants was very slow and meals are small portion sizes. Pools were beautiful and pool bar with huge variety of cocktails. At the resort Day Spa we enjoyed a relaxing massage.

Fantastic Holiday hotel. The location is perfect with the beach right out front and garlic lane shopping from the other side. There are two pools one great for the family, the other has a swim up bar and daybeds looking across to the beach. The grounds are well maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The Staff are super helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet is awesome with a range of treats from around the globe . What I like most about Legian Beach Hotel is it manages to create a relaxed Bali holiday vibe without sacrificing any service. I stayed in the Garden Villa with lots of surprise extras included .

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. Food exceptional and service above and beyond. Having staff remember your name especially being VIP. Loved the food options for breakfast buffet and during the day. Facilities are superb. Room service is pricey and the beds are solid. Otherwise all was lovely. Big shout out to Kevin wait staff in the restaurant. He was hilarious 😂 and accommodating. There were 2 other lady staff members but forgot their names. Also gave exceptional service, breakfast staff. Thank you again. Pool was so warm and lovely. The beach is a hop and skip away but don't swim is polluted, unfortunately. Sitting on the level 2 bar watching sunsets was divine sipping mango juices.

Let me start off by saying the hotel grounds are stunning. The location is also perfect. The restaurants are phenomenal. With that being said the front desk staff left a lot to be desired customer service wise. It was like pulling teeth to get them to comply with any request. We had about 7 rooms in our group and a few had bugs in them. I think the doors just don’t seal well.

Sunday In December
Second time staying at Griya Santrian. This hotel is all comfort, serenity, and old-fashioned service. You can not help but feel relaxed and cared for here. The immaculate Balinese gardens are so beautiful and peaceful. The 3 pools are luxurious, and each one seems to have a different personality to suit your mood or preference. The buffet breakfasts are such a treat - You can have amazingly fresh fruit, freshly cooked eggs, pancakes, cereal/toast, pastries, and Indonesian options, along with as much coffee/tea as you can drink. And you eat whilst staring at the beautiful sea. The staff are corteous and friendly. The streets of Sanur are just outside with many fun shopping options. 3 Monkeys Cafe down the road does excellent dinners. The boardwalk in front of the hotel is a people watching paradise, and the beach itself is calm and lovely. You can use the kayaks for free and hire bicycles for almost nothing.
Griya Santrian is our happy place.

We absolutely love coming to Griya Santrian. The resort has a lovely feel to it, more traditional in style, is clean and the staff are very accomodating.
We found their breakfast to be good but the quality of the food in the restaurant for lunch/dinner has gone down. The pool bar is a big plus and their cocktails are excellent.
This year though, I’m not sure I recommend staying until they’ve completed their renovations. They advised us renovations won’t be complete for another year.
Renovations are 9am to 5pm every day, including weekends. Once even after hours. Please see the videos.
We were only told of the renovations about 2 weeks before our stay and it was suggested that they wouldn’t inconvenience our stay much. I disagree with this a bit. They chose to do renovation work next to the front pool and the middle pools at the same time, so there is no part of the resort to get away from the noise, except the beachfront. The front pool was better than the middle pools as the construction was more intermittent at the front.
For the cost of accomodation and as a standard expected, they really shouldn’t be doing renovations at multiple points throughout the resort and should have informed guests earlier with the option of changing accomodation.
Overall though we still enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming again once the renovations are finished.

Loved Griya .. fantastic pool area with swim up bar right on the beach.. Live music some nights. Breakfast is 7 out of 10 .. Great location. But getting extremely pricey now same price as most Australian or European hotels/ resorts per night.. Maybe affordable for a stronger money like USA but too expensive for Aussie dollar .. but still a wonderful place to visit

However, the pools and gardens were amazing! The plants and vibe was very traditional and balinese so if thats what you’re looking for this is the place for it!

This place was lovely despite what I experienced the day I arrived and after I checked out.
I came on a motorbike with my surfboards and baggage. The security guy harassed us by not parking at the lobby entrance (there was no guest/car at that time. First, we are not parking, we dropped in. Second, parkiran kalian itu jauh loh, mana sedang hujan. Gate security secara spesifik minta kami langsung turunkan barang di lobby, tapi by entrance kami di hardik gak boleh berbelok ke arah lobby utama. Kasar sekali! Apakah begini cara kalian memperlakukan tamu yang datang dengan motor? Tapi kalo pake mobil rental lebih tinggi derajatnya? We are paid customers!
The room located on the 2nd floor, quiet at night, but I feel annoyed by renovation noise during the day. The AYCE breakfast was amazing. The pool bar, the pool itself and the jacuzzi was amazing. Until I checked out. I realized I left my beach saroong in the bathroom. I am 100% sure it was there. I called the hotel a couple days after but they lost it, claiming that there was nothing valuable found after I was gone. It's just a saroong I know, but it was my Mom's gift before she passed.
This prestigious resort has disappointed us!
On the same night before, I saw a cleaning crew collect bras, bikinis and stuff after a couple. Were you also claiming that stuff was gone in the thin air???

We had an amazing stay here. The pool area was fantastic, with an abundance of different loungers to choose from in various areas. A delicious buffet breakfast was served daily, with some incredible pastries. The beds were a bit hard, but the staff were very accommodating, providing mattress toppers. The location was great, right on the beach with lots of food options around. We will definitely be back!

Having the loveliest time. So good to be surrounded by so much greenery, right on the sea front. We took a free bike ride this morning to explore sanur after breakfast. Everything was excellent.
29th March was silent day, so we couldn’t step out of the resort. They had everything planned for us in the resort though.
They have 3 pools which is sufficient for the many people at the resort.
The breakfast buffet is a mix of American and Indonesian food.
The spa is another amazing addition. The massage was so good. I highly recommend the Balinese massage.
The room is cleaned daily.
The private beach is a great addition to the resort.
A swim in it and the beach beds make it better.
Overall, the friendly staff and hospitality is great.
I will come back for sure 😄
The only con was, no bidet in the washroom. It would be a great addition if it is installed.

Wow. This was simply a dreamy, luxurious and peaceful stay at one of the nicest resorts in Sanur.
Everything was so positive in our 3 night stay, from the incredibly welcoming and friendly staff, to the range of facilities on offer- especially the pools to lounge in. We were really grateful to have our room upgraded for free too.
Special mention has to go to the dining facilities on offer, especially the Beach Club Restaurant and the Mezzanine Asian Kitchen. Also, the Spa was simply on another level, and we felt so bliss like after their treatments.
Finally, their Valentine’s Day dinner was so beautiful, and so well thought out. It was so lovely to see so much effort put in from the live music, to all the staff who went the extra mile.
Thank you so, so much. We really did not want to leave, and we really hope we can visit again in the future!

We stayed here for a few days and found the overall experience to be quite pleasant. The rooms were fine and resort facilities were great. They had two pools which we used and found it was fine. Our only fault is that their breakfast did not include too many Indonesian options and catered more to the western palate. Not a bad place to stay.

We stayed at Hard Rock hotel Bali and honestly it’s hard to find anything that can be criticized.
The facilities were amazing, well maintained, clean and comfortable. The restaurants were great and food was delicious. Staff from reception to housekeeping were fantastic and always ready to go beyond and above to please us!
We were very surprised when we found a cake in the room for my partner’s birthday 😊
The only thing that could be improved is the kids club. More activities for kids 7 -12 are needed.
I would go back again and highly recommend the hotel to everyone looking for an amazing full of fun vacation!

The pool was absolutely amazing, especially the kids’ area with waterslides. We spent the whole stay there and had a fantastic time!
The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and offers great facilities. Every staff member was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable.
We were also happy to receive a free photo, and the best part was that we could freely choose whether to buy additional ones. The staff reassured us multiple times that there was no pressure to purchase, which made us feel so comfortable and appreciated.
The only area that could be slightly improved is the poolside shower room, which seemed like it hadn’t been used or cleaned for a while. Other than that, everything was excellent—highly recommended!

Loved the service and the staff. Always with smiles on and made us feel so welcome. The pool was exceptional. It was huge and the photos in the site did not do justice. The slides were a winner for the kids and the cabanas was a wonderful add on to the pool. Room was comfortable.
Breakfast could be better. Hotel should consider allowing guests to charge their expenses to the room and settle payment upon check-out as per other hotels instead of having to place a deposit or to standby our card for purchases.

It was pricey but the pool was amazing. We spent three nights here and my son go to the pool daily. The location was near to airport and there are many food places nearby. Its beside a beach that is popular for surfing and within walkable distance to a shopping center.
Our room was located right beside the door to the main area. At night the door in the corridor is closed but since people keep going in and out the door bangs as it shuts and it's quite noisy.
We had a king bed and sofa bed. No tubs but it was fine. Somehow the public toilet in the hotel feels more luxurious than the bathroom in our room. There's a small area to hang your clothes outside. Staff were very friendly and nice.
We enjoyed the breakfast. Room service food was very expensive and taste pretty average. I like the live band but my son find it too loud. Overall I enjoyed the stay and might come back again to this hotel and request for a room further inside.

This hotel was pretty underwhelming compared to the other places we stayed in Bali. Nothing really stood out. We arrived 30 minutes before check-in and were told to wait at the restaurant until our room was ready. An hour passed with no update, so we had to follow up ourselves—only to find out the room had been ready for a while. Given the heat and humidity, we just wanted to settle into a cooler space as soon as possible.
We were hesitant to book this hotel due to its distance from the main areas, and while Bali Collection being nearby was a plus, without it, you’d feel stuck at the resort. The overall vibe wasn’t great, and the staff didn’t seem as warm or welcoming as in other places we stayed. The restaurant menu was on the pricier side, so you might want to explore other dining options.
Another downside was the lack of information provided—staff never informed us about the resort’s activities or included amenities. We had to look everything up ourselves or ask, which made the experience feel less engaging. Because of this, we ended up just staying in our room just to sleep and shower. Most of the time we were outside the hotel and never fully got to experience what the resort had to offer, if any.
On top of that, you have to pay extra to rent their worn-out bikes, about $6 i think for an hour. Lol. The only decent part was the beachfront. However, the pool lounge beds were limited compared to the number of guests, so finding a spot was a challenge. Lastly, the room’s exhaust and sewage system desperately needed maintenance—it had an unpleasant smell throughout our stay. Might want to skip this hotel
& choose another one! :)

I was lucky to be upgraded to a room with a pool. Absolutely fabulous. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It was spotlessly clean with all the amenities you would expect eg iron hairdryer and a coffee machine. The pools were lovely. Great choice of restaurants and delicious buffet breakfast. All the staff everywhere were so welcoming and accommodating. The spa was amazing and very good prices

Our family of 5 had a great time at the Merusaka! 8 days and could not fault 1 thing. Location was great, service was amazing and the interconnecting rooms were great for our family holiday! Beds and pillows were so comfortable!!!
The service provided by the staff, especially Dana & Bagas at the poolside bar. They constantly went above and beyond to ensure all guests were looked after and having a great time! All inclusive package is definitely the way to go! We will definitely be back!

Our stay at MERUSAKA Nusa Dua was nothing short of amazing. The hotel is in a perfect location, just 25 minutes from the airport and right next to a shopping area, making everything easily accessible. The beach is pristine, the pools are fantastic, and the restaurants offer delicious food.
What truly sets this place apart is the incredible staff—attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. Whatever we needed was arranged within minutes, making our experience seamless and enjoyable.
The only minor issue was a slight humidity smell in the room, but given the tropical climate, it was expected and didn’t impact our overall experience.
If you’re looking for a luxurious and relaxing stay in Nusa Dua, this is the place to be. A well-deserved 5-star experience

We had a fantastic stay at the family paradise side of the resort. Lots of activities to keep the kids engaged & great premises. Clean, modern, well maintained & very well thought out architecture. Staff is extremely courteous, always cheerful & so very helpful & accomodating. Both the swimming pools were a hit with the kids & so many activities in the kids club. Fun movie nights for kids with popcorn.
Also there are themed dinners at the restaurants & we enjoyed some wonderful bands singing, cabaret dances & a superb fire dance show. Private beach access & so many water sports activities to keep you engaged.

The location is great with some cheap shops, massage and restaurants near by. The service was exceptional at every point. Friendly and would go out their way to help. I’ve been to this place twice now, and each visit has been fantastic! The food is always fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. The pools are clean, never too crowded, and provide a relaxing experience. With the all-inclusive package, you really can’t go wrong – it’s great value for the experience. I really wanted to give this hotel a higher rating, but after some thought, this is the best I can do. My family opted for the all-inclusive package and tried to experience everything the resort had to offer. The kids loved the Kids Club—no complaints there. My wife and I made use of the sporting facilities, including the squash courts (which are air-conditioned but have a deteriorating floor), tennis courts, and bikes for rides along the beach path.
However, the entire resort feels quite outdated, nowhere near a five-star standard. They are planning renovations soon, so I would suggest waiting to book until after those are complete. We’ve visited Bali before and know how to be cautious with the water, but despite being careful, both my wife and I got Bali belly at different times. After considering all the factors, we believe it came from the drinks, which was quite frustrating.
There’s essentially only one pool everyone can use unless you’ve booked one of the exclusive ones, which limits the experience. Room service food was subpar compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at on the island. Some of the restaurants, like the Japanese one, were exceptional—truly top-tier—but others, like El Patio, were lacking in quality.
One big issue was the pool chairs. There’s a rule that towels left unattended will be removed, but it’s not enforced. We found the same guests claiming the best spots every morning, leaving their belongings there for hours without showing up. Enforcing this rule would really help others enjoy those prime spots closer to the pool.
The buzzers for ordering food or drinks by the pool rarely worked, although the staff, when they did come by, were always friendly and helpful. The YHI Spa is easily a five-star experience—my wife and I both had multiple massages, and each one was fantastic.
The rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The bathrooms are dated, with poor water pressure and small, outdated shower heads. It just doesn't feel like a five-star resort in this condition. On a positive note, the gardens are beautifully maintained and a pleasure to walk through.
In summary, while there were some high points, especially the spa and some of the restaurants, the resort is currently not at the five-star level it claims to be. I’d recommend waiting until after the renovation to see if it improves.

Location could have been better. We rented bikes and got to see some of the beaches at other nearby resorts. From the sand to the water seemed much better than what Malia offers. If you are coming for the beach it was disappointing.
Other complaints include seemingly limited alcohol selections for The Level package we selected. The better name brand alcohol cost more so it wasn't included. Ran out of sake for us at the Japanese restaurant. Didn't have any more mascal at Sorento. Just little things like that added up.
Overall liked the hotel, but for the money it could have been better.

My husband and I came here as our first hotel on our honeymoon. We did the all inclusive and it was nice to not limit ourselves because they also offer non all inclusive. We stayed in a regular room, which was good with us because we didn’t spend much time in the room. The rooms definitely need to be updated, as they are doing renovations from my understanding soon, so that’s good they acknowledge that! I am gluten free and they had a lot of food options if you asked! They have gluten free bread, pasta and pizza! Also the coffee shop on site has gluten free pastries which was included in the all inclusive. Everyone there was great and very friendly. We also enjoyed the spa the day after we got there after our long flight and it was wonderful. The resort is pretty kid focused but the kids never bothered us. We were only there for a few nights which we thought was more than enough and wish the breakfast varied a little more day to day, but the juices at breakfast were always top notch & it was nice to have an egg station. They do not mark allergens on the buffet, which would have been a huge help to me, but I just ate what I knew I could. Overall, it was great for relaxing as a first stop on our honeymoon but I don’t think we would have wanted to stay there longer than 4 nights!

We stayed for 3 nights, from April 1 to 4, 2025 at Impressive Lagoon Suites. The resort is not large (in comparison to other 5 stars resorts we have stayed before), but with proper settings it feels comfortable.
The impressive lagoon suites (with additional 1 bed) is enough for a family of 5 people (which I gratefully thankful, because not many 5 stars resorts permit a family of 5 people stay in 1 room). The room is clean, very comfortable, and has good wifi connection for online game.
The staff are very polite. They said we had a buttler service for staying at an impressive lagoon suites, who can be approached by whatsapp. Until the day we departed, they still didn't text me their buttler's whatsapp number 🙄.
We also had an incident in the breakfast room when the staff chased us to collect the payment (they mistook us for other guest), which was quite embarassing. The problem was resolved with an apology after I contacted the front office.
The pool is facing the beach and has a very excellent view during sunrise. Too bad the sun loungers have many birds' stools, please make sure the staff to clean them.
The breakfast is quite good and the room dining has a good settings.
You have to try Kuu resto (a Japanese resto), they taste very good.

Absolutely amazing experience – I can confidently say it's better than the Hyatt. The staff are constantly cleaning no matter where you are, and the entire place feels exceptionally hygienic. The restaurant is excellent, with beautiful ocean views right in front.
The WhatsApp-based butler service is next-level – unlike many other Southeast Asian resorts, they respond within a minute, every time. That kind of speed and precision is a clear reflection of outstanding management.
Having visited hundreds of resorts, I rarely feel this impressed. But Maya Sanur truly moved me. I’ll definitely be coming back.

A Truly Unforgettable Experience at Maya Ubud Resort and Spa
From the moment we arrived at Maya Ubud Resort and Spa, we were treated like royalty. The level of customer service here is truly beyond compare. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of, and it made our stay feel like an absolute dream. Special mention to Dewi and Desi, who made us feel extra special and truly went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable, and we sincerely miss being spoiled by them.
The resort itself is nestled in a breathtaking paradise. The lush greenery, tranquil atmosphere, and stunning views of the surrounding jungle and river created a serene and picturesque setting. It felt like we had stepped into a different world, far away from the bustle of daily life. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location to unwind and enjoy quality time as a family.
To our surprise and delight, we were upgraded during our stay, which was such a lovely touch and made our experience even more luxurious. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and thoughtfully designed with every comfort in mind. It truly felt like a home away from home.
The food at Maya Ubud Resort and Spa is a standout. Every meal was a culinary delight. The quality of the food was exceptional, with every dish bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. From the buffet breakfast to the à la carte dinners, we were always impressed. The resort’s chefs clearly take great pride in their craft, and it’s evident in every bite. The dining experience was made even more enjoyable by the servers who were always at hand, anticipating our every need. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like VIPs throughout each meal.
Our kids absolutely loved the resort, from the fantastic pool to the activities and the freedom to explore the beautiful surroundings. My husband and I were equally enchanted, enjoying some much-needed relaxation and pampering. We all agreed that this was a vacation we will never forget, and we can’t wait to return.

We stayed a Maya Ubud in January for a week and it was absolutely lovely. Top notch experience at Maya Ubud. I was a bit skeptical because everyone kept saying Ubud is a far location but on getting there, my worries were completely over. I will not have it any other way. Very beautiful serene and clean environment. The buffet breakfast was my best meal time of the day, beautiful selection of fresh delicious dishes. The different dance types during dinner at Mayasari were super entertaining.
I can bet that I had the best butler of all hands down. Thank you so much Mei Gangga for making our stay easy and beautiful.

Staying at Maya Ubud was the experience of a lifetime. The level of service and attention we have received is unmatched. While we stayed we did the couples massage, visited both pools, free yoga, complimentary photoshoot, and watched the barong dance. We also had breakfast at the hotel most mornings, which is an amazing value and wonderfully diverse selection. I will miss the butter cakes and fresh juice bar!!! The grounds are immaculate. The concierge is so accommodating on arrival. We stayed in a pool villa and had the immense pleasure of having Ricky take care of us. He was so kind and thoughtful during our stay and always available to help via WhatsApp. He’s also very funny! We will miss everyone at Maya Ubud and are counting down the days till we can have another dream vacation here.

The Mulia Suites. Luxurious accommodation where we experienced direct sea-views from our large balcony. Many pools & swim-up pool bar kept immaculately clean. Beautiful grounds well maintained with buggy transfers to the different areas of the resort. Fantastic service from all staff - so helpful & friendly & attentive. Extensive restaurant options (Western, Indonesian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese etc) with quality wine selections. Quiet beach area in front of the resort with direct beach access & on-beach serviced beach lounges. Felt a world-away from the usual hustle & bustle of the busier areas of Bali.

I WILL BE BACK! And this time, for longer! 4 nights was definitely not enough time at this beautiful resort! So much to do, plenty of pool side lounges and a huge array of dining options. Their buffet breakfast was immaculate, their staff PHENOMENAL! We had such a great time and super family/kid friendly! Our little one love the kids club and we couldn’t keep her away on a daily basis!

They are always smiling & helpful.
Very sweet staff - housekeeping, front desk, concierge, bell hop, wait & bar staff, lifeguards, security - everyone is happy and courteous.
The grounds & facility are clean & neatly designed.
We were put on to this resort by a travel agent and they sure knew it would be a hit.
We visited midapril, still humid but less guests in the resort made it enjoyable.
I hope to visit again - our stay of 5 days was too short!

The resort is huge and definitely 5 stars. Pools, pools, pools, and swim up bars. The rooms were great. The gym is the best resort gym I've used.
But again the staff are truly amazing people.

My mother and I had a fantastic stay for our first visit to Bali in November 2024. We chose the luxury partial ocean view villa, and it was worth every moment. The resort's stunning beachfront location and convenient access to the beautiful beach made it the perfect getaway. Our villa combined modern comfort with Balinese charm, and the staff was incredibly attentive. We loved the delicious local cuisine and the range of activities offered. It was a memorable experience, and we highly recommend it for anyone visiting Bali.

Serene setting, quite hotel. I found it very relaxing. Staff is very attentive and the food is good.
They don't have a breakfast buffet but serve you your choice of breakfast set. I always like the idea as there is less wastage.
Around the hotel there is a flea market, and some interesting shopping.

Disappointment – Overpriced and Mediocre
As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I rarely leave harsh reviews, but this time it’s necessary. Paying a high price for quality is a choice, but paying an exorbitant price for terrible food and mediocre quality feels like robbery
For 15 years, I have been coming to the Oberoi for breakfast. In the past, the quality was there, and the pricing was reasonable. Today, the chef is no longer a chef but someone hiding behind a title, the GM is incompetent, and the CEO and shareholders are nothing but greedy profiteers
It’s sad to see a once-iconic five-star hotel become a reflection of what Bali’s tourism has become—a collapsing system where both tourists and locals have sold their souls for money. You are no longer a luxury hospitality brand; you are heading straight into the mass tourism market, where the only value you worship is money, at the cost of everything that once made this place special.
Bali’s tourism industry is on the verge of collapse, and your outdated business model will go down with it. Soon, the only value your hotel will have is its rare location, but there are now thousands of better options at much lower prices.
You are the perfect example of what Bali’s tourism has become—overpriced, soulless, lacking in quality, and aesthetically unappealing. You no longer deserve your five stars, not even close

Good and convenient buffet. Worth the 450 baht. In general, good service as a whole. The staff was nice and very attentive. location is great. right next to a park and right next to good malls. the out door traffic can be bad at times though since the hotel is just a block away from the asoke station.

We've stayed at a ton of Oberoi's especially in India. Gorgeous beach resort with a vibrant city right outside its door. The service at a Oberoi is always impeccable. The rooms are very dated however they also very Bali. There is no breakfast buffet they serve you whatever you want and they have an extensive menu. It's not up to India standard Oberoi but still very very good. If you can afford to stay in one of the villas do they are absolutely stunning! Also we wish we would've stayed for dinner they have a gorgeous Bali dancing musical show during dinner which was absolutely stunning so make sure you don't miss that. They also have yoga in the morning between eight and nine. If I was rich I would spend the rest of my life living in a Oberoi. In fact our goal is to stay at every Oberoi in the world and I think we're 1/3 there. Lol
