One of the worst hotel decisions I’ve ever made.
I stayed here because I booked last minute while working in the area, and among the few remaining options this hotel showed up as “top-rated.” What a huge disappointment.
The Dominican Republic is known for its warmth and hospitality. Here, I found the complete opposite:
• Chaotic, unprofessional front desk.
• Staff unfriendly, unmotivated, and with a poor attitude.
• Services that never arrived (including room service that simply never showed up).
• A so-called “premium” package that was anything but premium.
Punta Cana offers plenty of alternatives where true hospitality is the norm. This hotel is not one of them.
If you do not mind mediocre service and indifferent staff, this may be your place.
If you value your time, money, and experience, my clear advice is to look elsewhere before making this mistake.

Unfortunately, our experience at Impressive Punta Cana was far from enjoyable. The only highlight worth mentioning was the bartender at the Premium Lobby Bar, who provided excellent service.
Beyond that, the hotel offered very little to feel good about. Cleanliness was lacking from the start, and we encountered an alarming list of basic shortages during just three days: no ice, no plates, no fries, no salt. The alcoholic beverages were of extremely poor quality—barely drinkable.
Most concerning, however, was the staff’s behavior. We found them to be aggressive and disrespectful, and in most cases, you could only get what you needed if you offered money discreetly.
I absolutely do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I hope this review helps others avoid a disappointing experience.
To add to the problems, the beach was covered in sargassum and the smell of rot made the overall atmosphere even worse—though that part is more a natural issue.
Luckily, we were with friends and managed to enjoy ourselves by laughing at how bad the hotel was.

Everything about this place was amazing! The ratings online are rather harsh and I don’t understand why, opinions vary. The buffet was just okay, but what kept me going back to the buffet instead of the premium buffet was the staff. Every morning, my waitress treated/greeted us like family.
My room was beyond fabulous and included a jacuzzi. It was in the perfect spot on the property because I could exit my villa and turn left and there’s the beach! Go right, and there’s the pool! The premium pool was a short walk around the corner!

A clean resort set in beautiful grounds with lush vegetation. The rooms were clean and spacious with a mini bar and open wardrobe. The service was good and the staff were friendly.
Lost one star as maintenance slow waited 4 days for TV to be repaired , then we had to leave.
Location is in Punta Cana which is quite far from main attractions.
Overall we had a great time. ❤️

I recently stayed at Impressive Punta Cana Resort, and I can confidently say this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Everything about this property is a complete disaster.
First off, the staff is incredibly rude and totally unhelpful. Instead of assisting guests, most of them seem more focused on aggressively pushing travel packages. It felt more like being harassed than helped.
I had reserved a jacuzzi room with a tropical view, and the room I was given looked nothing like the photos online. No view, no jacuzzi, and no effort from the hotel to resolve it. I asked to speak with a manager — he never showed up. No follow-up, no apology, nothing.
The food is absolute garbage — low-quality, cold, and repetitive. I’ve had better meals in school cafeterias. The buffet was a total letdown, and the restaurants were somehow even worse.
As for the rooms, they’re worn down, poorly cleaned, and completely uninspiring. The A/C barely worked, the bathroom smelled musty, and the overall feel was far from “impressive.”
This place is a scam wrapped in palm trees. I would never stay here again, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere unless you’re looking to be disappointed at every turn.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and great location. The property is well kept and clean. The staff were very friendly and there was a variety of activities. We did, however feel like most of the interactive pool and beach games had a provocative feel to them which we feel should be for adults only. We also didn't appreciate that our volleyball games were abruptly brought to a halt because every member of the activity staff were told to be involved in the crazy game and often would put pressure on us to join the game even though we were having fun playing volleyball. Also, the evening shows often had a provocative vibe at the intro portion of the show. This time of year we discovered that there is a seaweed plant that washes in and completely take over the ocean front making it very dirty and not pleasant to look at or swim in. The excursion that we booked through the hotel ended up being not at all what we were promised and they did not do anything for us when we reported how disappointed we were. The amenities were great. We really enjoyed the gym with multiple machines to use and heavier dumbbells. We really enjoyed the sports complex to play tennis, and basketball. We really enjoyed the variety of food at the buffet and the different restaurants were a great experience. Overall, we would return.

I stayed at Caribe Deluxe Princess and overall the experience was mixed. The rooms were actually very nice and comfortable, definitely one of the highlights of the stay. The location is also good, with easy access to the beach and nearby areas.
What really stood out for me in a positive way was Jeffrey, one of the dancers/entertainers. He brings so much energy, charisma, and talent to the shows and activities—he honestly made the nights feel alive. If it wasn’t for him, the entertainment experience would not have been the same. He truly deserves recognition for his effort and how much joy he gives to guests.
On the downside, I felt the service overall needs improvement. There were moments where staff seemed disorganized or not very attentive, which took away from the experience.

Where do I even start? Read a lot of mixed reviews about this resort but decided to book regardless. I can say that right from the start of the holiday, this resort ticked all the boxes. Very beautiful, spotlessly clean, not too big but not too small, little but great touches such as the tropical fish and animals around the resort. Upgraded to the Platinum club, and I can say it's worth every penny. Dinner at the 2 Platinum restaurants was amazing, probably the best A la carte I've had on holiday! Went to the Dominican restaurant and Tao, which was a bit of a letdown, but that didn't spoil the holiday in any way. The main buffet at breakfast had a vast array of dishes, most of which were tasty. Omelette station, fresh juice, tropical fruits, pastries, hot dishes, etc. There are many bars around the resort. Golf buggy to transport guests from one place to another. The beach was beautiful even though it was seaweed season. A la carte lunch and drinks at the Platinum club was top notch with lovely sea views. Staff are always doing their best to make your vacation very enjoyable. Could go on and on about this place, but overall, it was a wonderful vacation. I'm missing it already.

Please stay away from this hotel!! Terrible. From the very first day, the room was completely broken, the mattress was the worst quality, the pillow was horrible, the shower was broken, the TV didn’t work. I complained to the manager and we changed rooms, and again the room was in bad condition The next day, around 6:00 am, the power and water went out!! An entire day without being able to shower or even use the bathroom!!! The food smelled sour! It was a complete nightmare. Thankfully, I was able to find another resort.

We had an amazing stay at Punta Cana Princess! The resort is quiet, clean, and beautifully landscaped, perfect for a relaxing couples getaway. The beach is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food exceeded our expectations, especially at the à la carte restaurants.

This was my first time traveling to Punta Cana. I took a birthday trip from 7/12-7/15. The resort Is marketed as a five star, but that couldn’t be furthest from the truth. I will say the staff was amazing. Miguel at guest services was awesome and Anna at the front desk was also helpful. There was one bartender who is stationed in the lobby, he kept making inappropriate sexual jokes toward my friend and I. He even came around the bar and started to massage us without our consent. I was very uncomfortable. The room was horrible. There was NO AIR! Even after complaining to the front desk. The sheets had blood on them, the room wasn’t cleaned. The shower had mold in it. It was a poorly ventilated room with no car and concern for it. The phone didn’t work. The resort property was clean. But the food wasn’t that great. We tried to eat at the seafood restaurant on Sunday night. We got there around 8pm and they refused to sit us, lying saying they were about to close when they didn’t close till 10pm. The spa was amazing! I highly recommend it. Overall I’ll give it 2.5 stars. The resort is also pretty far from everything.

It was a great vacation. Even though it is not a small hotel, it never feels crowded or busy, it feels more intimate. There is plenty to do here and at their other properties, wether you want to relax or have fun. They have a great staff for activities. They are always welcoming, and I even danced with Mileny and Juli during the parties.

Large resort but staff was rude. Next time ask your travel agent for an English speaking resort. Only 1 girl at the front desk was accommodating after she said she would upgrade our rooms for $100 cash per room but she was not there daily. Workers for knock once in your hotel door and just walk right in, housekeeping really were efficient but towels were not replaced and hard to receive them. Swim up bar pool smelled and workers were rude there. Hard to get drinks will say the rooftop bar and pool is where we spent everyday and bartenders upstairs there were amazing. No list of activities or shows that were available and the buffet was terrible except for the last day we were there. They must have had a new chef as there were different choices and the food was displayed differently. The front desk, sports bar, gift shop, coffee shop, and ice cream were accessible by the tram car as it was quit a walk from the rooms. Also the beach was completely covered in seaweed, at the waters edge, and you could not go into the ocean. Will not return to this resort again.

This hotel has a beautiful white sand beach. Unfortunately, we came there during seaweed season and despite a huge effort from staff to clean it up, we could not enjoy the sea. We compensated it with enjoying the swimming pools. There’s a nice area with slides for kids. Our room was nice and big. However, our first impression was really bad. We arrived around 4pm. The sheets of 2 of the 4 beds were not changed & no pillowcases on any pillows. One pillow smelled SO stinky. The floor was absolutely disgusting. The staff cleaned and changed everything that needed to be done. We traveled with 8 years old twins & they were looking forward to it. But the kids club on this resort is a big joke. The only entertainment there was TV. However, entertainment for adults was great. Our kids could participate in some of it. It was hard to find someone who spoke basic English, which is understandable because the majority of their customers were locals.If you leave your towel on a pool chair and go for lunch, you will see couple people sitting on it when you come back. We booked restaurants for 4 dinners but gave up after second visit. The buffet service was so slow & the quality of food was inconsistent. Huge lines for pasta and meat. Constant problems with plates. In the dining area, you would be lucky to get fully served table. If not, it will be hard to get a cap or glass.There’s only couple good trained staff. And one of them and the best is Paulino. I will not come back on that resort.

Half the staff were unfriendly. The food was bland and meat was very chewy and fatty. The pavements were uneven and a woman fell right before entering buffet. The specialty restaurants food is so bad and experience was tainted by the waitress with a bad attitude (she was upset my niece wanted a coke instead of sprite and after that she hated us). No one was allowed in water on beach because mountains of unclean seaweed. But if you go to neighboring resort their beach is clean. The pools are DIRTY. The water is cloudy, band aides and hair floating about. Last day we saw something that looks like a turd in water. There is no night life here. You have to go to casino/movie Disco for clubbing. As a Tropical Deluxe customer, you are entitled to 2 free drinks, but that didn't happen. They just stared us down and pressured us to buy something and told us to leave because we were weren't purchasing more. The mosquitoes here will destroy you. Never in my life have I gotten bitten up like I was here! The Sports Bar is included in amenities, but they tried to tell my husband he had to pay. My highlight were the shows at night and the spa (Julia is amazing)! Lastly, you have to wait for their "train" to take you from lobby to room. The shows at night are by lobby, meaning you have to wait for a free train to take you. This was so inconvenient because you have to be aggressive to get on. At times we just walked the ten/fifteen minutes to room to avoid waiting for pick up.

Had a great stay! Activities with Flabio, Eunice, Leonardo were a lot of fun! Juan at the main pool bar and Juan at the game room bar were very nice and welcoming! Rooms are nice, cozy, with AC. Food is decent. Hard to get reservations at specialty restaurants. A lot of activities. Beach is nice. I would recommend for a nice extended weekend stay!

Large and beautiful resort!
My stay overall was good! I loved the food, it was really good!
I liked the beach. Compared to other resorts, it was cleaner.
Regarding the room, ours was 1814, the safe, phone, and bathtub didn't work at all! We mentioned it to reception, and they sent a gentleman to fix it, but the next day it was the same. And since we're not people who complain much, we let it stay that way!
Regarding cleanliness, the lady who cleaned our room always made an effort to keep it clean. I don't remember her name, but she was very friendly and helpful. I even asked her to surprise my partner because it was his birthday, and she decorated it beautifully! Another negative aspect was that the large pool was dirty and smelly! But otherwise, I recommend the resort!

Very friendly staff, superior and huge territory and rooms lots of birds and other animals and a piece of jungle in the middle of the resort. Rooms are also modern and decent size. There is so much to do as resort provides with different activities scheduled for every day, or you can simply chill on the beach or by the pool. We didn’t like the Steak house and Indean restaurant was so so but the Italian one was outstanding! So yeah, my first time in DR and I am so happy my wife picked this resort. Highly recommend!

We came here for our **1-year anniversary** expecting a special experience, but instead it turned out to be an absolute nightmare. The food was **terrible**, with a very small variety and the same dishes repeated every single day. Communication was nearly impossible as hardly anyone speaks English, which made even the simplest requests frustrating.
The rooms were **never properly cleaned**—we had to practically beg for toilet paper, towels, or even a basic tidy-up. They told us several times the bed sheets would be changed, but all they ever did was straighten the same dirty sheets. The air conditioning was another disaster: constantly switching off, making loud noises, and requiring multiple trips to reception just to get it looked at.
Service in the restaurants was **painfully slow**; it took ages before anyone even acknowledged us for drinks or food. For our actual anniversary, I asked if they could do something nice in the room as a gesture. After hesitating and acting like it was a burden, they eventually placed a **few random petals** on the bed. That was it. Zero effort, zero care.
Overall, this place was a **complete disappointment**. The service, the food, the cleanliness, everything was shockingly bad. I would **never come back** and I strongly recommend others do their research before wasting money here.

The resort was nice enough, but overall, it was not a satisfactory experience. The staff was poorly trained and had poor English communication skills. Basically, they did not really understand English well enough to deal with an English-speaking customer. The room had mosquitoes and it took the staff two days to deal with the problem. The plumbing in the tub was broken. My daughter got sick from the Japanese restaurant food the first night. We had to order in while she recovered. Room service managed to get a simple order very wrong. I asked for a burger, and I got fried chicken. After many phone calls with guest services, they delivered a bun with shredded white meat. The third time, we got a very tough burger and unsalted fries. The food at the buffet was so-so. Mostly underseasoned. There was an unscrupulous vendor at the resort who overcharged us for a wood carving. Management should be more careful of who they allow to sell in their premises. The bartender by the pool took a shot for every drink he served a customer. Very off-putting behaviour. The beach was full of seaweed, so we had to stick to swimming in the pools. Finally, the resort failed to give me the wake-up call I requested on the day of my departure. It's really too bad because the property was nice. They fell short in the communication and service and finer details of hospitality.

I was in contact with the property prior to the travel date due to some negative reviews. I have to say we were impressed. The room we stayed in was large and nicely decorated for our anniversary. Aside from the sewage odor in the area of the Platnum member, the resort is absolutely beautiful. The staff were very warm and welcoming. Our first all inclusive, it was very pleasant and worth the trip. We stayed away from the salad bar, drank bottled water, beer and wine only. The food were delicious. The pool and beach were close together and that is just wonderful. A shout out to one of the managers, Manny thanks for helping us arranging our transportation to the airport when we had no cell service. And yes Greisy, one of the staff at the buffet...was very attentive, loving and fun! We would definitely return.

Absolutely beautiful. Outrageously priced but beautiful and a great time. Private. The showers were cold the whole time and the drain was backed up, so note that. The staff were delightful, the house keepers and the chef especially. A large group of us went for a bachelorette party and had a blast, we only left the house 2x in 5 days. The grounds were clean and secluded. It was overall a lovely visit.

Phenomenal resort, excellent service, hotel rooms were huge and comfortable, golf cart included, room service food was sensational. Breakfast was pricey ($50USD pp after tax and tip), could be better. The fresh juices were the best part of Lagos breakfast. I didn't get a spa service but my family member, who works in a 6-star spa, confirmed it was top-notch. I toured the spa and the facilities were exceptional. Fun for girls/guys or family vacation. Pool bar had great cocktails and good beats jamming. There is an adult pool as well. Not too loud either. Live music at the bar near the gym some nights. The gym was well equipped and opens early/closes late. The boutique shops have nice designs and swimsuits out of the ordinary. Highly recommend.

I recently visited Casa de Campo for a wedding, and I must say, the experience was truly impressive. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, professional, and attentive. The resort itself is beautiful, with top-notch amenities that reflect its high-end price point.
Although our stay was brief, we took full advantage of the all-inclusive package and were able to enjoy several of the on-site restaurants—each one offering great food and excellent service. Everything felt well-curated and thoughtfully managed.
If you’re looking for a luxurious escape in the Dominican Republic, Casa de Campo is definitely worth considering. It’s a perfect mix of elegance, comfort, and Caribbean charm.

If you are traveling with a family and like golf then this place is for you. If you are looking for a tranquil vacation with your significant other, this place is not for you. I would not call this a resort because the service was not great. It feels more like a town and you have access to the amenities. Many staff had attitudes or didn’t want to be bothered. Took forever to get our check at restaurants. Servers by the pool did not initiate contact or check in on us. We always had to find them and ask for what we needed. This was the theme of the week. We stayed in the premier suites and would not go again unless there was a ridiculously cheap deal and it was not the primary vacation for the year.

My husband and I recently spent four nights at the Majestic Elegance for our anniversary, and it was an amazing experience from check-in to check-out. We booked a VIP Junior Suite in the adults-only section, and it was the perfect choice. The service was exceptional, and so was the staff. Our butler, Alex, was incredible. She made communication easy throughout our stay and even took the time to decorate our room for our anniversary. Eric, the bartender at the pool, was phenomenal. He provided quick service every time we visited and took the time to remember our names, which was a kind and a personal touch.
The resort as a whole was very clean and well-maintained, even the beach. There was always great entertainment to enjoy as well. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food. While most of the options were American, there was a nice sprinkle of Dominican dishes as well. We loved the three different sit-down dining options, which added to the overall amazing experience. Overall very impressed by the experience! We would definitely visit again!

Our family spent a week here 2 weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The resort is immaculate, our rooms were beautiful, and the service was amazing. Everyone who works there was kind, helpful and very friendly; some even planned special dinners for us. We ate at most of the restaurants and the food was delicious. The buffets offer so many different choices, it was hard to decide what to eat. Seaweed is an issue this time of year so we were at the pool most of the time. The pool is huge and the design gives everyone “a place to be.” We all participated in pool activities with the lively activity crew. We’d definitely go back.

The Majestic Mirage is an awesome hotel/resort. My wife and I recently stayed there for 7 wonderful days. It was our second stay there. Upon arrival we entered a magnificent hall where we were greeted by truly friendly staff. We were escorted to a lounge area where we checked in and were assigned our comfortable, and well designed suite. The view from our balcony were beautifully landscaped grounds and sky blue sea. There was entertainment most nights that was very appealing and the food was very good at the various restaurants too. We were assigned a butler named Junior who greeted us every day and tended to our needs We could not ask for a better butler than Junior. He made us feel special. Our maid was so friendly too and we enjoyed our conversations with her. Without a doubt, the Majestic Mirage is a five star hotel and I highly recommend that you plan your next vacation there. You will love it!

Throughout our stay, he consistently checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, whether it was restaurant reservations, activity suggestions, or just a friendly conversation to see how we were doing.
The entire staff at Majestic Mirage is phenomenal—always smiling, warm, and full of life. You can tell they love what they do, and it truly enhances the atmosphere of the resort. From the housekeeping team to the servers and entertainment crew, everyone made us feel at home.
The property itself is stunning—clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. The pools are pristine, the beach is breathtaking(at least the first time I went) this time around not so clean and the food at every restaurant was delicious with a great variety to choose from.
This experience was extra special for my son and me, and we owe a big part of that to Omar. If you’re visiting Majestic Mirage, I highly recommend requesting him as your butler—you’ll be in the best hands. We’re already looking forward to our next trip!

We just returned from 5 days at the Hilton La Romana Family resort and it was an amazing experience. We paid the extra for the Enclave features and glad we did. The separate pool, beach and lounge options mean the entire resort is at your disposal giving you more options and areas where there are fewer people. But let me add that at no point did we ever feel any part of the resort felt crowded even though there are a lot of guests. The rooms were comfortable, all of the food options we tried were good. The Peruvian restaurant was our favorite. The staff is exceptional. There is an army of people keeping the resort very clean and running well. Everyone we encountered was very pleasant and helped us all feel welcome. We traveled with our adult children a 2-year old grandchild and my mother-in-law and La Romana was perfect for our group. Between beach time, pool time and meals, we were never bored. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable time in the DR.

Rated the room a 4 because we killed 3 roaches in the room. Also the air wasn’t to my liking and when I called they said somebody went and lowered it but it felt the same..
We encountered a couple workers who were great and very welcoming. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the buffet/restaurants. It took a little long getting our drinks and when we did it took long for refills vs us being able to walk in (all inclusive) and getting our drinks ourselves. Also you have to be on point with reserving other restaurants, I was a hour late because my phone died and everything was booked. They did accommodate us so I was very thankful! You’ll also have to pay extra for the cool stuff, ninja turtles, character breakfast and personal slime. The gift shop with the characters were a little expensive especially for people who have multiple kids. But overall it was a good experience, my son enjoyed himself and I would go back. Thank you Nickelodeon resort

Our experience at the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana was truly unforgettable, and a huge part of that was thanks to Josue. From the moment we met him, he went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible stay. He took the time to sit with us and carefully break down all the attractions, events, and character experiences. His attention to detail was absolutely impeccable — he even gave us specific times and locations for where we could meet our favorite characters based on where we would be throughout the day.

I was recently there with my children and I have to say that we had a fantastic time. I was a little annoyed that we had to make reservations to the particular restaurants, but I understood the concept so it worked out great. The food was amazing better than expected, especially coming from an all inclusive. I will say, however, I did notice some favoritism with some of the staff towards particular tourist, especially those who were of a lighter tone. Overall was a great experience. My children had a lot of fun and I recommend for children under the age of 11. My kids are 13 and 10 so they were more interested in eating and laying out in the sun and enjoying the infinity pool, which was amazing.

Rooms were spacious and bathrooms nice, but overall this resort doesn’t live up to the five-star price tag. Check-in was frustrating — staff weren’t friendly and after a 30-minute argument we finally got rooms side by side (something they could have done from the start). Room service is very limited, no bottled water, swim-up pool had algae and missing tiles, and furniture was old/broken. Food and drinks were just average, though the ice cream shop was great.
The water park was by far the best part — staff there were amazing and the vibe was awesome. Biggest disappointment: this is a Nickelodeon resort and we didn’t see a single character the entire trip.
Water park saves it, but everything else feels far from five-star.

First I will say that the majority of the resort workers are great. Our butler, Norris, was awesome. The guy, Carlos, that helped schedule our excursions was great and he did not try to pressure sell you.
The worst part is that you can't enjoy anything without someone trying to sell you something with some high pressure sales tactics. The resort does not stop.trying to sell you their premium experience and their travel club. You can't even walk by the beach without being hounded every 10 feet.
The room was pretty nice. The swim up feature is a nice feature. The A/C would not cool the room. The bed was horrible. A 3 inch matress that is worn out. The power went out a few times. The blinds kept falling down.
Majority of the food is not worth eating! The best food came from a food truck.
Overall, this place could be really nice if they had better food and would actually let their guest enjoy the property without being harassed.

Nice hotel overall - There were a few issues here and there but we had a great stay. Food and drinks were great. Booking for restaurants should be made simpler.. Found some dead roaches in our rooms one morning but this can't be helped in tropical areas. Make sure to join the cabaret/bingo activities, they're very entertaining shows.

My family and I love the hard rock hotel! The food quality could be better but overall amazing experience. We love all the workers like our own but we especially love our legendary hall of fame beach workers. Yeferson does an amazing job at accommodating my family and I. He’s always attentive and alert. Thanks to him our beach experience is so much better. He really does bring the energy and he also does a very good job of making sure everyone in that area is a hall of fame member. He knows when we go to the beach so our beds are already ready for us just to sit and relax. He truly makes our experience 10x better.

I was here for six days, and I loved it! There's a water park with a bunch of pools and slides. They have ten restaurants, and the food was actually good. I didn't get sick, either. The rooms are big, and the AC works great. Just so you know, the hotel is massive, so you might be walking a lot. But they have trolleys to get around.

I only write this review to hopefully get management more engaged, and maybe save this well recognized brand hotel.
Service was not pleasant. It was a hit or miss with their staff. Can’t tell you how many times the staff rolled their eyes at me. And please know that I always leave a good tip. And even like this, the service wasn’t very good. Very sad to be honest.
The food was simply terrible. You can tell they only buy the cheapest ingredients. I tried most of the restaurants, and they were all bad. The food always comes to the table warm if you are lucky, I don’t know why this happens. Maybe is cultural, but did not get one hot meal during my stay. I survived on the sandwiches from the “sandwich shop” and the coffee from the “cafe”, both right next to the casino. The ladies there were amazing as well.
Lastly the cleanness thru out the hotel was a big concern. Our room was maintained daily, but in a very poor way. They just clean around the corners, and the shower was filthy. I couldn’t wait to come back home to be honest. The hallways were dirty as well, with a few roach sittings during my stays.
The hotel itself is beautiful, great location, nice looking rooms, awesome pools. But the maintenance and the service just voids the beauty of this place.
I would not come back to this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone who likes eating well, clean facilities and great service.
Do not waste your money here.

Our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana (Aug 24–27) was below expectations.
Unfortunately, the in-room iPad never worked, which made it difficult to request room service and make restaurant reservations. We called several times, but were told it was a system issue and it was never resolved. Additionally, on several occasions, drinks ran out hours before the official closing time at the pool and terrace bars, and at one point, we were even told that only water was available for the room.
On the positive side, the staff was excellent – very polite, friendly, and always willing to help. The reservation-only restaurants were wonderful, with excellent food and a great atmosphere. Also, the wedding we attended was impeccable.

We visited as a family with our two young sons (ages 5 and 4), and we truly had the best experience of our lives. The resort is very family-oriented, with daily kids’ activities that kept our boys entertained and happy from start to finish.
The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent throughout our stay.
Cristina and her team were incredible with the children—she made sure every day was full of fun activities. Our boys absolutely love love love Cristina; she quickly became the highlight of their trip!
Jesus at the bar was also amazing. He would always prepare milkshakes for the kids, and they loved watching him make them each time. It became a fun little ritual they looked forward to daily.
Pedro at the restaurant stood out as well. He was attentive, patient, and made sure we felt completely comfortable. He even made such an impression that one of our sons drew him a picture—something we’ll never forget.
This was a wonderful family experience, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.

Such a beautiful place and experience!!!! The food was some of the best that we have ever ate at an all inclusive resort. Some of their beautiful desserts will blow your mind! There's something there for everyone!! The pool was beautiful and relaxing. This is a dominate Spanish speaking resort but some of the workers spoke a little English. The rooms were super clean and comfy. Beware on the beach as you will get pressured by walking peddlers.

Our stay at Majestic Colonial was truly one of the most memorable vacations we’ve had at an all-inclusive resort. We were celebrating our anniversary, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to our amazing butler, who went above and beyond to make every moment feel extra special.
We also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to Fausto, our favourite bartender, and Epilido, our wonderful server at the French cuisine restaurant. Their energy, kindness, and great sense of humor really made a lasting impression on us, they helped make the trip even more enjoyable.
The food was excellent, always fresh, with tons of variety, and something new to try each day. The beach was beautiful, and while there was some seaweed, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our time there.
If we had one suggestion, it would be to renovate the washrooms and bedrooms, as they’re outdated. That said, the entertainment was great, and the overall atmosphere of the resort made it easy to relax and have fun.
We’d absolutely return and are so grateful to the Majestic Colonial team for making our anniversary so special.

Worst Hotel Experience – Guests Abandoned During Renovation
I have traveled to many resorts, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. The hotel was closing for renovations while still hosting paying guests, and the way it was handled was absolutely unacceptable.
From the moment we arrived, services started to shut down without any notice: bars, restaurants, and activities were suddenly closed one by one. The hotel never informed us that we were allowed to use the facilities of the Majestic Elegance next door, even when my wife went two times to complain about the issues and
they never gave her an option; we only found out by asking other guests after wasting three full days in what felt like a deserted, half-abandoned hotel.
For those three days, the only dining option available was a single restaurant running at half capacity with improvised, low-quality food. The atmosphere was dead, with no activities, no entertainment, and no effort to make guests comfortable.
The beach was another disaster. It was covered in algae that was never cleaned because the hotel was shutting down. The smell was unbearable and even reached into our room, making it hard to sleep. If we wanted to enjoy the ocean, we had to walk to the Majestic Mirage hotel of the same chain, where they were still maintaining the beach properly for their guests.
We felt deceived, abandoned, and completely disregarded as customers. Charging full price for such an experience is inexcusable. If the hotel is going to close for renovation, it should stop accepting reservations or, at the very least, be honest and give guests the option to stay in the other functioning property.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay.
Breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of options, both hot and cold. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the overall atmosphere, which made me feel right at home.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality service and comfort. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
