Wonderful hotel located just off the main road in Oistins. Located on the beach, this hotel has stunning views of the ocean and it's proximity to the beach is a major point. Perfect for families to vacation with clean, comfortable rooms that are very spacious. Friendly and efficient staff as well. The room has a full kitchenette and the rain fall shower was great! Heartly recommend this hotel. There is also an on property restaurant that does really good food.

We stayed at Butterfly Beach Hotel for 9 days and had a wonderful experience. The staff were absolutely amazing – warm, friendly, and always helpful. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned every day, which we really appreciated. The location is also great, making it easy to enjoy the beach and nearby spots.
The only thing missing was a “Do Not Disturb” card, which would have been useful on the days we wanted extra rest. Aside from that small detail, everything else was excellent, and we’d happily stay here again.

Pleasant staff, good food. Air conditioned room with a large balcony and nice little kitchenette fridge,cooker microwave, kettle cups , plates glasses etc. Room will be serviced everyday so does need do not disturb signs. liked staying at the hotel which has a nice beach front location, not much to do in the local area but easy to get to Lawrence gap, 30 minutes walk or cab to Bridgetown. Hotel looks well maintained. Just watch out for the birds.

Currently at The Butterfly Beach hotel. On arrival staff Donna very welcoming. Excellent customer service. The house keeping staff do an amazing job. Pleasant, accommodating with a sense of humour as well as happy to engage in conversation with you. Our room is lovely with comfy beds. We were invited to the meet and greet with the manager. Disappointed with our experience made to feel invisible despite being there well on time. However, the other staff gave excellent service with a smile, engaging, friendly and pleasant in manner. Finding that not all staff are approachable or having the right attitude. Appearing aloof as well as none engaging making it obvious they are not interested when trying to converse. No eye contact which is most important if working at front of house.. I have another two weeks. Location good easy access to beach, night life and Bridgetown. On the whole the house keeping staff who are engaging makes the stay pleasant and worthwhile at this point.
We have now come to an end on our trip to Barbados staying at the Butterfly beach hotel. On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would like to thank all the staff for making our stay enjoyable. The initial mishap was forgotten as we were able to meet the manager. We will definitely be returning to this hotel as we feel the meet an greet is a good concept to meet other guest as well as enjoy the fish cakes and rum punch which was ahh delicious. The location is just right for walks. I have already spoken to friends about stating at the Butterfly. To all the staff once again a big THANK YOU. You do an amazing job

I recently stayed at the Butterfly Beach Hotel and overall, I had a pleasant experience and will recommend with a few notable pros and cons.
Pros:
The price was excellent for what we received, making it a great value option.
The location was convenient, close to everything we needed.
The kitchenette in our room was a great bonus and made our stay more comfortable.
A big shoutout to the staff and manager, who were honest and kind enough to keep jewelry safe after we forgot it at checkout. That really meant a lot.
I also celebrated my birthday during our stay and was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine.
Cons:
Upon arrival, the welcome was underwhelming. We had to greet the staff first, as they didn’t acknowledge us initially.
We were given a welcome drink, but there was no explanation, someone just placed it on the counter without saying anything. It felt impersonal.
While a few staff members were friendly, not all were welcoming, and the receptionist on the day we arrived wasn’t very pleasant.
The bathroom amenities were limited, only bar soap was provided, with no shampoo or conditioner.
The hotel is a bit dated, but for the price, it’s a fair trade-off.

37 years ago 12th August 1988 my husband and I honeymooned here.
So we decided to revisit Worthinh court Hotel this 12th august 2025
I have visited Bdos numerous times after that but never stayed here.
Well, location was great for us as we didn't want to rent a vehicle. Bds$3.50 by bus was perfect. Promixity to restaurants and the beach were positives that we already knew.
However, upon arrival
1) We were told and shown a sign that states checkin is 4 pm. I told them my email correspondence with them say 3 pm. Front desk stated it was 4 pm but they will allow us to have the room at 3pm ( like they were doing us a favour.)
2) The room was clean and was serviced daily for the 8 days we stayed there. Not particularly swept and moped thoroughly.
3)The bathroom smelled old and moldy and the wooden surfaces throughout were swollen and especially the bed side table drawers.
4)The large roaches were not a pleasant and welcoming sight.
Yes, I did inform front desk and the young lady asked if i wanted to move. When she informed me that it is in the same original building i declined as it would be the same issues. (There is a newer building on the premises adjoining)
The following day I went to collect pool/sea toilets and front desk asked how my visit was going.When I replied ok she enquired why OK. I told jer about the problems of which she wasn't informed about from the previous worker. ( i believe as I didn't change rooms it became a non issue)
That day when we returned our room was thoroughly moped out.
During the time we were there we bought airfreshner and bug spray and sprayed everytime we went out.
On check out the Hospitality room was comfortable and cool as our flight was later that day.
Worthing Courts Hotel is in desperate need of refurbishing.

Location was excellent, the rooms were clean, and the view was beautiful. The staff weren’t rude, but they also weren’t particularly friendly. We didn’t get the room we originally booked until the following day, which I learned is a common issue with third party bookings. Some rooms are more updated than others, I was told the deluxe ones are on the newer side. I’d suggest calling ahead to confirm details and ask any questions before your stay. This was my first trip to Barbados, and while the island itself had beautiful beaches, I found that overall the people and businesses weren’t very friendly and often seemed uninterested in tourists.

Designated smoking area was right by pool so we all got a waft.
No place to put cigarette stumps so they put them in plantpots.
I suggest a plsntpot with sand in away from non smokers.
Pool was cleaned in morning everyday why not at night when pool was shut.
Make sure u book a high room we did but got a low level and the noise from the Gap is so loud of a night. Locals party till all hours. But rooms aren't soundproof at all.
We booked a delux room upper floor with sea view it's a basic room and we got lower floor level 2. So noisy but very clean.
Gardens are managed nicely and are immaculate.
Kept away from midnight to 4.00am on our last night with locals playing loud music full blast. Shame really as they let the hotel down regarding noise.

I can’t really find a problem with this hotel. First time staying and the staff have been absolutely great! Helpful from start to finish. Great location! Stone throw to the beach, they have leaflets for local excursions you can book online, I would advise browsing to compare prices. Make sure they do hotel pick up and drop off!
The restaurant on-site is an independent restaurant but have nice food $$ and staff are friendly. Time out is local to other restaurants and bars and a mini mart and atm. (ATM charges so be careful!)

I had a lovely experience during my stay at Time Out Hotel Barbados. All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made my visit very enjoyable. The team truly went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome.
However, I’d like to share some constructive feedback. The room had very few power sockets, which was inconvenient—I had to place the kettle on the floor just to use it for hot water. Additionally, the bed was uncomfortable, and the mattress didn’t meet my personal standards for comfort. Lastly, the hotel isn’t very accessible, as there is no lift available, which could be challenging for some guests.
Aside from these points, my overall stay was good, and I appreciate the warm hospitality from the staff.

This hotel offers a decent stay with a great location close to lively spots. Considering the price, it’s a reasonable option, though the facilities and staff responsiveness are somewhat limited. The infrastructure is good, but service and amenities are average. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

My partner and I absolutely loved it here. The location was perfect, the St Lawrence Gap is just a few steps away and the beach is just across the road from the hotel. The room was very spacious and had a lot of storage for clothing and not the typical small closet with 2 racks other hotels provide.
The housekeeping was 100% satisfying! Clean room, restocked coffee, tea and creamer! The staff are the most friendly and helpful. Everything was close by as well as taxis were available outside if you don't have a rental. There's also a casino on-site, restaurant and bakery.
We definitely recommend staying here.

Lovely well appointed rooms, daily maid service. Great spot to have a relaxing vacation, quiet premises, excellent beach for snorkelling, literally hundreds of fish. You may see an octopus or lion fish if you're lucky. Food at Coco's and Jakes was delicious and not pricey. Service at the restaurants was also great, no long wait times. Ten minutes away from most of the attractions, five minutes away from Bridgetown.

Upon arrival, the host ,Margot, was very welcoming and polite. The hotel is in a great location with three restaurants, two within the hotel, one across the street. We had an issue with our room and informed Margot while we dined. Jeff, the Gm, approached our table to inform us that our room had been upgraded. Everyone was so welcoming and pleasant the entire time we were there. We were even allowed an extra hour for checkout due to our late flight schedule. We will certainly choose Coconut Court Beach again, almost forgot to mention the food and service was excellent as well.

We are staying at the coconut court hotel and we have say it's a joy, what a lovely hotel and keeping its own unique style. The staff are brilliant nothing to much trouble, management are lovely and welcoming, Shane the maintenance man great guy, Kemeisha from the bar is outstanding Kemeisha deliverers 100%customer satisfaction, she gets on well with all the guests, Kemeisha will go the extra mile to ensure your stay is excellent.
Kemeisha is a credit to the hotel along with your all staff.

A bit late.
My wife and I stayed here in February for two weeks.
In my opinion the Coconut Court was a great place to locate ourselves. The hotel itself gives you the feel of nostalgia when hotels had that ‘less corporate’ feel. The staff were extremely accommodating -nothing was too difficult for them to go out of their way to assist. On this I must pick out Terrence and on this I’m sorry Terrence I haven’t written this review earlier as you deserve it and so much more.
We are likely to return to this beautiful island in February 2027 for six weeks and will definitely spend a couple of those weeks at this wonderful establishment.

We had a very nice time at this hotel. The staff was exceptional! Very helpful and friendly! Beach was very nice! Rooms were clean and I appreciated the good air conditioning in the room. We always felt fresh and comfortable. Overall, we were very happy at the Radisson.

I do not recommend staying at this hotel. The property is in very poor condition—chipped paint, visible water damage, mildew, stains, and general dirt throughout. The mildew in my room was so overwhelming that I requested to be moved, only to find the same issues in the next room. While waiting at the front desk, I overheard another couple expressing similar complaints about their room. I’ve attached photos so you can judge for yourself whether this is where you’d want to spend thousands of dollars for a stay.

The hotel needs serious upgrading. The room had mold on the ceilings the furniture is dirty and lamps are rusty. No microwave and the WiFi connection was poor. If you are going for a short 3 day trip I recommend if not I don’t recommend. The staff are nice and welcoming and the drinks are good and strong. The menu said happy hour but we paid regular prices during the time of “happy hour “. The breakfast was decent I believe it was $30 for buffet style. I didn’t have dinner at the hotel I went out.

Awesome beach, overpriced rooms/drinks/food. The front desk staff are awesome, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The bar staff are unfriendly and don’t know how to make mixed drinks, even simple ones. Pools are ok.
The hotel is rundown, just like the rest of the country. It’s like they build things then just let them go to seed and when they do build new…the people in this country don’t know how to maintain anything.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 nights to attend a wedding in Barbados in May 2025. The experience was deeply disappointing due to multiple issues relating to cleanliness, maintenance, customer service, and unresolved charges.
The room was in a poor and unacceptable condition, it was extremely outdated, worn, and lacking proper upkeep. The bathroom was particularly concerning, with visible limescale and grime in the shower, a stained, rotting and dirty bathtub, and we even saw a cockroach in the bathroom on the first night. These conditions fall far below what is expected of a hotel at this price point and significantly impacted the overall stay, which was ruined by this experience.
A major safety issue I want to point out is that the shower water temperature fluctuated unpredictably between freezing cold and scalding hot, making it nearly impossible to use safely or comfortably. Despite being reported, the problem was never resolved – and it appears to be a recurring complaint among guests.
The air conditioning unit was oddly positioned on the floor and it often leaked water, emitted a strong damp smell, and released a strange, potentially toxic odour on a number of nights. This raised concerns about both hygiene and respiratory safety. We informed the reception team about this and little was done to resolve.
Customer service also left much to be desired. Only two glasses were provided in the room – which were being used to hold toothbrushes – and a simple request for a third glass was denied by housekeeping, citing a policy of “only two per room.” This rigid approach felt petty and unwelcoming, especially given the overall condition of the hotel.
The wider hotel grounds showed visible signs of neglect. Paint was peeling, balconies were in disrepair, and the pool was both small and poorly maintained. The overall property appears to be suffering from long-term underinvestment. Several other guests voiced similar complaints during the stay, suggesting that these issues are not isolated.
To add to the frustration, a refund for a $160 plug adapter charge and a $500 deposit has still not been received over 10 days after leaving, despite assurances it would be. The only charge that should have applied was the city tax. The delay in returning these funds caused unnecessary financial strain during the remainder of the trip.
This stay has seriously undermined trust in the Radisson brand. I hope Radisson senior management take these concerns seriously and urgently review the condition and operations of this property. I urge you to look at trip advisor and TikTok for further reviews and information on this hotel. Unfortunately, my phone broke during the trip so I do not have many pictures to upload.

Overall:
We had a really lovely stay. The welcome drinks and cold towels were a thoughtful touch after a long journey.
Food
The food was excellent. Guests can enjoy à la carte dining three nights a week, with the other evenings reserved for themed nights such as Caribbean Night, BBQ, Fish Fry, and International Buffet.
Breakfast started out as table service but switched to buffet style after two days. The buffet service was a little shaky at first, but it was clear the team was making an effort to get it right. Once it settled, it actually worked better than the menu breakfasts.
Restaurants are rotated depending on the theme—sometimes in the Chattel Bar (lower down on the complex) and sometimes poolside—keeping things fresh and interesting.
Most drinks are included all day, with only imported brands (like Guinness or champagne) at an extra cost.
Rooms
Rooms were comfortable and clean, with well-functioning air conditioning. Any maintenance issues were dealt with promptly.
Staff
The staff are excellent—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Special thanks to Rohan, the bartender, and Tameshka, waitress/bartender, who went above and beyond in friendliness and service.
Extras
Lots of activities are included—just ask at reception. Options include:

Salsa dancing (we didn’t try this one)

Free shuttle into Speightstown or to the beach
On themed nights there’s live music, with some performers taking requests and encouraging dancing and singalongs, which made for fun evenings.
Laundry: Available at an extra cost of 8 BBD per token.
Downsides
Arrival: One of our rooms wasn’t ready, resulting in a long wait in the heat after a long flight. Drinks were offered, but it would have been better if staff had suggested waiting in the air-conditioned Green Monkey Lounge by the pool. Not knowing it was there made the wait uncomfortable.
Location: The hotel is farther from the beach than many others. If you’re aware of this, it’s fine, but hiring a car is recommended if you want to explore. In compensation, the hotel offers plenty of included outings.
Food variety: The à la carte menu stays the same throughout, so unless you vary your choices it can feel repetitive. Desserts are also always the same, which became a running joke in our group. At the Chattel Bar, dessert options are more limited since ice cream isn’t available (they said it’s too far from the kitchen). Lunches were generous portions, and most days we didn’t have room for dessert anyway. On the two poolside nights, there was more variety, and after a few days the team also made an effort to add some gluten-free options. One missed step was that food intolerances and allergies weren’t asked about on arrival. For example, when the gluten-free guest in our party found out the chicken was breaded (though not listed on the menu), staff asked them to complete a form—something that should have been done from the start.
Music: On Fish Fry nights at the Chattel Bar, the music was too loud for the small space, making conversation difficult.
Wi-Fi: The Wi-Fi password changed midway through our stay, but no notice was left in the rooms. We only found out by word of mouth from other guests. The connection itself was patchy, especially in the mornings and evenings.

A quieter atmosphere (thanks to visiting off-season), meaning lots of space and peace.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Sugar Cane Hotel in Barbados, despite the positive reviews online. The staff, especially at the front desk, were not friendly — they were cold, distant, and unapproachable. Not even a single smile throughout my stay.
The hotel is far from the city, and outside of meal times, there was absolutely nothing available to eat or drink. I genuinely felt like I was starving most of the time.
Afternoon tea was extremely limited — even the cookies were given out by number. I paid $40 for breakfast, which offered almost nothing.
The room was full of insects, which made my stay quite uncomfortable.
The only nice part was the view, which looked just like the photos. But unfortunately, a nice view can’t make up for poor service, isolation, and a lack of basic hospitality and food availability.

First time to Barbados and couldn't have picked a better hotel to stay. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere with great views of the lush surroundings. Great food and fantastic staff that go out of their way to help you. Complimentary shuttle bus service is great as hotel is a bit remote, complimentary glass bottom boat tour and gulley walk were also a surprise addition to our stay. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back next year.

We stayed here for the last 4 nights of our holiday. What a game changer! Hotel was fantastic, staff where friendly and its was so clean and tidy. The barman called Jose a cockney Spanish Bajan was amazing 👏. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, has a beach direct out the back woth free water sports and good snorkeling area.

We had a great family trip. We've been to quite a few Caribbean locations in the past and Barbados was definitely one of the best. As a family we enjoy good food when we're on vacation, something for everyone in the family and not just Seafood choices. Barbados was great for this we can't say we had a bad meal. Bougainvillea especially add good choices and food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms were always good and clean. Air conditioning work very good. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help out. My wife and two daughters had massages on site and they said they were excellent. Weird recommend Bougainvillea Barbados Resort.

Great Hotel in a good location. Staff are friendly and helpful. The beach area is well laid out and beds, towels and sunshades are included. The bar serves excellent cocktails and the breakfast is varied and includes some bajan pastries and cakes. Egg station provides a selection of egg dishes and the omelettes are generous and are tasty. Overall a good hotel, my only negative was that we couldn't extend our check out time by a couple of hours even though check in for the next guest was at 4 p.m. which should have been enough time to clean the room. Most unhelpful at the reception desk and as the Hotel was not at all full it seemed a sad way to end a holiday by sitting in the lobby area in 32 degrees without air conditioning getting warm before our departure to the airport. First impressions count and so do last impressions.

My wife and I stayed here for a short weekend trip. We really enjoyed spending time at the property’s beach. Chairs are provided and the staff is great about helping set up umbrellas. In addition, they also clean up the sargassum that washes up in the summer months. We rented a car for our stay and had no problem with parking at the hotel. The hotel’s breakfast restaurant was tasty. We preferred ordering from the menu rather than the buffet. The only issue I could see people having here is the lack of numerous chairs around the pool. We didn't have a problem on our stay. However, if you come during a peak holiday, chairs could become competitive. Use pick up Caribbean if you don’t have a rental car or partake in too much happy hour. It’s an app similar to Uber. Great place, great people! May 25

Don't make my mistake: read the comments. The pictures are .....misleading. The hotel might have looked like this when it saw better days. There are so many unnecessary rules for a vacation stay. (Return the pool towels at check out. You'll save so much time and thank me later).
As per their website, they have numerous restaurants and bars. In reality, 1 of each. Other so-called restaurants are being rented for events: graduation, birthdays, and weddings. So, walking around the elegant looking crowd while in flip flops and a towel is normal.
Plenty of people working there, but the only person paying attention to you at the reception would be Rachel. The same goes for breakfast: when you enter the breakfast hall there will be at least 5 people on the front desk, and no one will tell you where to sit or the difference between "continnental" breakfast and the full one. Trust me, there is a difference, learned hard way, thinking that our breakfast was included. Not a big deal in terms of money, but it's a good thing to let people know before they enter the facility. The food is delicious, though, and the waiter was extremely polite and nice.
Rooms, well, there are plenty of other comments about them. The management really struggles to keep up.
The great thing about the hotel is the beach. Beautiful views with clear water, tiny little crabs - amazing. But again, the hotel has so much stuff, but I didn't see at least one person who would try to clean it from trash.
To sum up: it might have been my expectation that didn't meet the reality. And if you are like me who is looking for everything to be in one place, so you don't have to worry about anything - keep searching. However, if all you need is a beautiful beach, shower, and bed, then that might be the place.
P.s. if the hotel "fun" is too much, there is an amazing tiki bar at the end of the beach.

The location is great, rooms are clean, the lobby seems to be the happening spot with great music and ambience. It's a great welcoming entrance.
Some things need updating in the room, they need lamps because either you get pure brightness with the lights on or pure darkness when you turn off with one switch.
The pools need major work, it's dated, dirty and looked closed at night. They had no lighting and the swim up bar look closed all day but apparently they open till about 3 or 4 p.m?? Why so early??
The pool should usually be the happening spot in hotels like this. But it had no ambience, no music playing, no lighting and the waterfall wasn't working.
The whole time I was there I thought the restaurant they had was closed because they weren't lit inside. I don't understand why they had the lights off in the restaurant.
The welcoming staff should have let us know that they have a different Cuisine every night at the restaurant. Luckily they had a slew of restaurants across the street.
I see that they're doing some sort of Renovations so hopefully the pool will be next.

I checked into the Accra Hotel on Monday, September 22nd, around 11:30 PM, and was greeted by a front desk agent who mentioned it was her first night working alone. This clearly contributed to an exasperatingly slow check-in process. After finally settling into my room, I was utterly drained from traveling all night, only to discover a puddle on the floor. I immediately contacted the front desk, where I was assured that they would locate a suitable room for me while investigating the source of the leak. I ended up waiting an hour to be relocated.
Unfortunately, the next room was hardly an improvement—the phone didn’t work, and the closet floor was littered with grime. The following morning, I was promised a better room by the time I returned from work. However, when I arrived that afternoon, the young man at the front desk assured me I had been upgraded and insisted I would love my new accommodations. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a musty odor, indicating it had been unoccupied for some time. He attempted to turn on the air conditioning and then left.
After 30 frustrating minutes with the air conditioning failing to cool the room in the stifling heat of Barbados, I called the front desk for assistance. They assured me someone would come to address the issue. A maintenance worker arrived but merely glanced at the unit before stating he would return shortly. Instead, I received a call from the front desk informing me that the air conditioning was broken and they could provide a fan until morning, citing ongoing renovations as the reason for their limited options.
By this point, I was operating on just four hours of sleep and desperately needed a warm shower before bed. Unfortunately, after running the water for 10 minutes, I discovered there was no hot water. At that moment, I felt utterly defeated. I called the front desk again and was told they would investigate and get back to me. Another staff member attempted to test the water, promising to return. After an agonizing wait, I was left with no choice but to take a cold shower before collapsing into bed.
The next morning, clinging to a sliver of hope, I anticipated that hot water would finally be restored. To my utter dismay, it was still cold. Frustration boiling over, I requested to speak with a manager about checking out and finding alternative accommodations for the remaining six nights of my stay. I also communicated my expectation for appropriate compensation for the distressing ordeal I’d endured. She indicated she would need to consult with her manager.
Later, when I spoke with the Assistant Manager, I was offered a mere 20% discount for the restless nights I suffered and a refund for the remaining six nights. Naturally, I found this offer unacceptable given the multitude of issues I faced. I urged him to reconsider, but ultimately, I received a message that the offer would remain unchanged at 20%.
I am appalled by this treatment and firmly believe the hotel requires a complete shutdown and renovation. The hallways reek of mold, and my experience was marred by rooms left with their doors ajar, presenting a troubling sight.
Perhaps the hotel is struggling financially because any establishment with a semblance of quality would have offered appropriate compensation without me having to ask or demand it.
I will never return to this hotel, and if you are considering staying there, be prepared for all the issues I encountered.... It's not about the money it's the principle

Very comfortable I had a wonderful and very relaxing stay at The Crane. The location is stunning and a bit more secluded, which we loved. The pools are fantastic, and the beach is magnificent. The rooms are spacious and luxurious well-appointed. The only minor downside is that because it's more remote, you'll rely on the resort's restaurants or need a taxi/car to explore other dining options. Overall, a beautiful property perfect for a tranquil getaway.resort. Spacious

Huge, beautiful room, the room's plunge pool was surprisingly cold but the rooms were massive and inviting. Beautifully maintained grounds. Location was far away from a lot of the islands main attractions but I enjoyed how quiet and serene it felt. The views over looking the ocean at the cliffs and the beach on property are absolutely stunning. Staff was excellent.

Beautiful resort with a really good atmosphere around the hotel grounds. It has a mini downtown with live music and several restaurants and shops. Gorgeous views of the ocean and a nice pool although the water seems murky some times. The location is closer to the east coast of Barbados and the seas are rough sometimes but nonetheless beautiful.

My experience at the hotel was wonderful. From the time went we were met at reception the staff was helpful and fun. We felt so comfortable. The rooms were cleaned every day and was nice.
The setting of the place was amazing . All staff members were kind and helpful. Only took breakfast and it was great also.
It's location made it easy to get around and visit nearby beaches.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The campus has a great setting that leads to the beach. It's quiet, aesthetic, and relaxing. We upgraded to an available suite and it's everything we want at home +2 balconies. We wish the lazy pool was deeper, but cozy. The beach has ample trees, lounge chairs, and the perfect view to relax and sleep. The best is the staff. Not just friendly, potential friends. Shout out to Tamika & Marsha @front desk, Ramon @activities, Randy @maintenance, @ the entire wait staff. Food & drinks the 1st day we're good, but we didn't do the all inclusive because we like to experience local foods & events. Marsha guided us to the best places for awesome experiences. 7 days and we wish we had more time in Barbados & here.

Overall a good stay on my part. However, the management were excessively rude to a colleague who happens to be the Speaker of one of our Legislatures in South Africa. They also damaged her laundry and handled the entire matter without any decency, tact or basic respect. Given this, we will be sure not to ever use them for our official business when travelling to Barbados again. No one, no matter who, should have to put up with a rude host.

The food and service at this resort was amazing. My wife and I have been to several resorts throughout Barbados and other countries. This resort by far has the best food out there. We had the privilege of meeting the executive chef, we were able to let him know how amazing the food was. The pool also has a swim up bar and was very clean. Had an absolute blast staying at The Rockley. The staff were so accommodating to our large family of 6 (4 young children). The rooms were clean, there was plenty of space around the pool to sunbathe, activities happening throughout the week for both adults and children...if we needed anything, the staff were on hand to help as quickly as possible. We've stayed here twice now and we hope to be returning again soon!

This is the best place to stay at on vacation. The location is great. The amenities are good. There is plenty to do and a lot within walking distance. Troy greeted and welcomed us with a cold towel and rum punch. He provided exceptional service. All the employees were fantastic. Everything that we needed was at the hotel. The hotel has everything you need the suite was so big we had a 5 floor suite with amazing views. The beach is just across the street. The Receptionist Deidre was so lovely as was all the staff, Troy was great took my husband and I on the island trip along with some other guests.

I cannot speak highly enough of the welcome I received and the friendliness of all the staff. The hotel was small and personal. Well maintained daily and the rooms were immaculately kept on a daily basis.
The food was excellent, great choice, well presented and plenty of choice.
Location was good for walking to Pebbles & Carlisle Beach, public transport is at the end of the street. As a solo traveller I felt well looked after and very safe. I will definitely be going back

Lovely boutique hotel close to a beach.
Staff were welcoming and most were friendly. Crystal was brilliant! Such a bubbly personality (manager qualities for sure!) Shame she went on holiday two days into our stay. Terry and Mani at the bar were great, Trey not so whom we found a bit sulky and lazy. Waiting staff were professional and attentive.
Food was good. Lots of variety. Fish and meat tended to be a bit overcooked most days though.
Room location was fabulous. We upgraded to a superior garden view. The only grievances we had was that our safe wasn't working and the shower drain was blocking up. We reported both issues on the first day. The shower got so bad we had to use all our towels to mop up the overflow. It went from taking 20 mins (first day) to drain after one shower to 3 hrs (9th day).
It was fixed on the 9th day, probably reported by the cleaning staff.
Loved the daily monkey mayhem! And I was so chuffed to find lots of Tetrio Sphinx caterpillars which was priority for me!
Took 20 mins to walk into Bridgetown. Lots going on it town.
We went to a cricket match one evening (T20). Atmosphere was insane lol!
I don't think we will be going back to Barbados (other islands to visit), but if we did we would definitely stay here again.
NB. The resort is 95% occupied by retired couples.
We are in our 40s but enjoyed socialising with the other guests and have made friends with one couple for life.

Nice small hotel with the kind of food you might expect for the price. I found the room very comfortable and quiet (my room was on the outside away from the pool). The air conditioning was very good, but a little noisy. The staff were mixed, some extremely friendly and some were rude. The food was very child friendly or great for people that like an unhealthy diet. Not great for vegetarians, but there was always something. I wasn’t drinking, but everyone else was, and they seemed to be enjoying the choice of wines, beer and spirits. Great location, close to the beach.

Am a repeat guest of the hotel. So that should show you they are consistent. Location is amazing. My room was great but I have seen that some rooms require some updating. I have ready different reviews of service here. I have to say that I am personally treated great. But I think you get what you give in these situations. If you go in expecting the worst or getting frustrated just speak up. If you don’t like your dinner table, ask to move. If you want a refill, ask. The beach and pool are well maintained, and I would recommend this hotel. The value for the price is right on point.

My Honest Review of The Sands Hotel, Barbados
First off, I’ll preface this by saying The Sands was not our original hotel of choice, we had a lot of issues with our travel agency prior to arrival. Once we realized we had no choice in the matter anymore, we were promised upgrades which we never got. Do not use air canada vacations ever!
That said, here’s our true experience once we got here:
Location & Atmosphere
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to get to St. Lawrence Cap, where you’ll find plenty of nightlife. On-site, they offer nightly entertainment which adds a nice touch. The pool is clean, the facilities are well maintained, and while the rooms are a bit dated, they’re still comfortable enough and clean!
Food & Dining
There is only one main restaurant on the resort, which alternates between buffet and à la carte service. To our surprise, the food was actually very good for an all-inclusive, we really have no complaints about the buffet.
The resort also has a “fine dining” restaurant called Noir, but guests are only allowed one visit per week. Honestly, the food there was underwhelming. If the buffet had been average, we might have appreciated Noir more, but because the buffet was already so good, Noir felt like the same dishes simply plated differently.
Service
This is where we found the main drawback: service is slow. They do offer beach and poolside drink service, but it’s inconsistent, you can sometimes wait up to an hour before seeing a server, which often means you have to serve yourself.
That being said, the staff themselves were always friendly, and several really stood out during our stay. Special thanks to Coefei (manager), Junior (supervisor), Adgio and Mario (bartenders), Amari, Davida, and Onisha (servers), Michael ( animator ) and Natasha and Aneisha (hostesses). Each of them went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their professionalism and kindness made a big difference in our experience.
Overall
The Sands is clean, well-located, has better-than-expected food, and a team of staff who truly care. The main issue is the slow service, but otherwise, it’s been a positive stay.

We've just returned from our first trip to Barbados and stayed at The SoCo, it was brilliant! The staff are amazing and particular mention must go to Michelle (for being a lovely host and for the fabulous rum tasting 😀) Shane on the bar for keeping us entertained with his music and singing, Zach on the bar, for his lovely smile and cheeky comments, Ayeesh and Shakeela in the Restaurant, always smiling and friendly. We loved that it only had 24 rooms which made getting to know other guests really easy. we met some great characters. The room was a good size, bed really comfortable, lots of storage and great views over the ocean. It would have been handy to have a mirror near a plugsocket in the bedroom area though. The food was great, cooked to order, fresh and hot. Menu changed every 2 or 3 days. Breakfast menu could do with a change of dishes every few days too as became a bit samey.
Great location, boardwalk along the sea front up to Rockley Bay. There are a few bars and restaurants along there if you fancied a change of scenery. There's a small beach with sunbeds but you can carry on walking for up the beach and find some lovely spots to put your beach towel. More sunbeds needed around the pool maybe removing some of the casual seating as this wasn't used often.
The hotel does need a little TLC in some areas, restaurant needs brightening up, corridors need painting, sunbeds need replacing and maybe a coffee machine in the bar area would be good addition. These are only observations and I hope the owners take note as you've got an absolute gem and we would definitely stay again and totally recommend it to others.

Staff hear are amazing! Love Zach and Samantha. The staff members here were very accompanying. The beach on site is sectioned off for the guests which is cute but better going off site. In addition the food was good along with options you can change out. Wish the pool was open later than what it was supposed to he in addition to the parking being very small.

Was not happy about the hotel at all wasn’t one of my usual stays . Says all inclusive but very limited when it comes to food , no room service . No elevator going up with luggage . My door had a very hard time opening every night was a struggle. Housekeeping service never came to clean up the room and it was very hard to get towels here literally had to argue for a wash cloth . Housekeeping was rude said no she’s not doing the room . Roaches crawl across our plate at dinner . The bartender and restaurant staff was the only thing nice about this property . Definitely would not come back

Extremely nice boutique resort with all the charm larger resorts lack. During our stay we enjoyed daily culinary treats at the on site restaurant and were amazed with the selections and presentation that made it impossible to chose what we liked the most. Drink selections at the bar were good, but we would also like to see more recognizable brands on our return visit next year. Rooms were spotless with attention to detail on display every day with our room attendants. The view, could not have been better and the staff went above and beyond at any request we presented. Thank you again for such a wonderful vacation and we look forward to visiting next year.

This “all inclusive” resort is anything but all inclusive!! They do a good job of making it seem as though the resort is a good size it in fact could not even fit our party of 5 around the pool. They don’t let you have champagne outside of the welcome drink. There’s only one restaurant that closes at 10pm. The bar staff was kind but the front desk staff was so nasty once we told them the hotel didn’t match the pictures! We asked for a refund so we could go somewhere else. The hotel only refunded 3 of the 5 nights we were booked to stay and it was extremely disappointing. Just know the pictures do not match the hotel when you get there book at your own risk.

Have been in this location previously and it is a great location. However there are a few issues here at Mango bay. Arrived yesterday so still time for things to improve however first day is as follows:- they want you to sign a waver which says they are not responsible for anything that happens while you are here, including while walking around the venue, very odd. The staff are
great but lunch was like joining the line for school dinners. One of the staff went to get me some fish which was lacking at lunch, that was very kind of her. Wifi and wifi security is very poor. They advertise free wifi, and it is but it's not great and keeps dropping out. Secondly don't come here with a VPN as it is not compatible with their system. So interesting dynamic, sign a waiver saying the hotel are responsible for nothing, but you can't use your own VPN to protect yourself online. Seems like a bit of an issue there for me. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

We took our first trip to Barbados and stayed at the Mango Bay hotel. It exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The food menu had different choices each night we were there and also included a vegetarian option. The rooms were kept cleaned daily and were always turned down for us every night. The drinks were non stop and so delicious. The view with the Ocean is breathtaking while enjoying our meals every night. The beach is beautiful and the snorkeling was so fun to do. The watersports that are included with the hotel was amazing. The staff were the bomb ( only a couple grumpy ones) but overall so so friendly and accommodating. We will be back next year. Damien was such a fun bartender!!!!

What can I say… Before arriving at Mango Bay Hotel, I read a mix of reviews and had a few concerns—but rest assured, this is a truly lovely boutique hotel that offers a unique experience, far removed from the typical chain resorts.
The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and even include evening turndown service. Despite the hotel being fully booked, it never once felt busy or crowded thanks to the small number of rooms—adding to the peaceful, intimate vibe.
I’ve stayed at many 5-star hotels around the world, often with 10+ restaurants and all the commercial frills—but those can start to feel impersonal and stale. Mango Bay is different. The staff are what truly make this place shine. Huge shoutout to Donnel, Sebrina, Javier, Ray J, and Isobelle (one of the managers, I believe)—every one of them was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
The food was excellent, with à la carte dinners most nights and beach BBQs during the day. Yes, you could nitpick like some other reviews, but honestly—when it comes to value for money, Mango Bay is unbeatable. Sure, you could pay triple to stay at a big-name resort like Sandals, but it would be hard to top the beachfront location and overall charm of this hotel.
The location is another bonus—right in Holetown with easy access to nearby towns, and there’s even a new shopping centre just across the road.
I’ll absolutely be coming back—with the whole family next time!

This was the first time in Barbabos and not the last. The Club Barbados was on a hunch but it far exceeded expectations. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. We had an ocean view loft room overlooking the sea with beautiful sunsets (note small additional staircase). The food was fabulous and plenty of variety.
Sandy Lane beach is round the corner and easy to reach and we had beautiful morning walks on the beach.
There is free use of beach towels and snorkels and a complimentary 30 min sailing trip which is a must do.
Lots of options to see the island. Easy to stay in the hotel but worth seeing Harrison caves and the Nature Reserve and of course Ostins.
Best thing was the resort is very relaxed. There is only smart/ casual wear for dinner and don't need to overdress!

Would definitely stay here again and recommend. If you’re looking for a 5 star resort pampering to every whim with top of the line facilities at every corner, you might be a little disappointed. However we felt it was perfect for us. Smaller. Quaint. Clean and kept up well. Had everything we needed. Excellent location. Very safe. Good entertainment. Friendly staff overall. Food was not spectacular but good. Drinks were great and free flowing (loved the coffee bar). Beautiful views with one of the best beaches right next door. Loved the whole experience and will probably stay here next time we go to Barbados.

This is a gem of a hotel,having been numerous of times they excel in customer service.The team led by Caroline,Kathy and shift managers lead by example always and I mean always visible to ensure a streamlined experience.Too many to name but all make your holiday memorable,from bars to restaurants ..Jocelyn,Sophia,Corrine,Vinnie,Daniela, Karrene,Darius and Tre.The housekeeping staff deserve praise as does reception and office staff who always acknowledge you when passing.The chefs provide a varied tasty menu to suit everyone .A short walk to the beach to snorkel with the parrot fish makes this paradise.Hotel is being updated which seems to be taking longer than planned but is not noticeable and doesn’t cause any inconvenience .

I visited Barbados for the first time in September 2023 with my mum, it was her second visit to the island.
We had an amazing time. We received a surprise room upgrade to a sea view room when we checked in. We were greeted with punch and the staff were very friendly from the first moment. Special shoutout to Terence who took the time to check on me on a day I was a bit under the weather.
Some say the rooms and hotel are dated, but I felt the place had a nice character to it. One night our AC broke and was fixed very quickly. The pools are small but they are great for taking a little break from the heat.
The buffet breakfast was always pleasant and there were different options available each night for our evening meal. During the day there were options for lunch and the coffee/wine bar was also a great place to relax. I particularly liked the swim up/cave bar. There were a few bars at the hotel and there were plenty of delicious cocktail options and other drinks.
The hotel is right on the beach and the live music at night time added to the atmosphere of the place. The whole place had a very chilled out feel to it.
As the island is so small, all of our trips were within short travel distance from the hotel.
Overall it was a great experience here. The staff at Crystal Cove could not do enough for us and I wish I could have stayed for longer.

Awful hotel!! Due to stay here for 4 nights but checked out after 1. Would have checked out the same day if we hadn't been travelling 9 hours to get there.
This hotel is one of the worst I've stayed at and believe me invested in a lot of hotels.it is definitely not a 4-star hotel.
The rooms are outdated,verging on dirty. Our bathroom had mould and the toilet didn't flush.
All the staff were avoid of smiling and some came across rude. Everything seemed an effort.
The food was abysmal.A real lack of choice and quality. The evening buffet was horrific.got to the point I didn't bother eating and my wife left most of hers.breakfast was no better.
Checking in was another disaster.no warm welcome and a real poor first impression.the whole experience was terrible.
When checking out 3 dats early after explaining why I did not even receive any type of apology at all.Absolutely shocking!
I strongly advise staying somewhere else and don't waste your hard earned money on this place

The resort is in a nice location. The views are beautiful. Our room was ok, and the bed wasn’t bad. The bathroom was also fine. The fridge was rarely stocked and it was a struggle to get water bottles. We had to repeatedly go to the nearby coffee shop to get small bottles are water and bring it back to our room. There are two restaurants. One is open for a breakfast buffet and also opened for a sit down dinner. The other restaurant is only open during lunch time and is a buffet. The food during breakfast and lunch was fine. However the food for dinner was not impressive. The portions were very small. I ordered a steak one night with shrimp and was extremely surprised about how small it was and how there was only four small shrimp with it. The beach is beautiful. There are two separate areas on a large beach where you can sit with some nice chairs that have shade. There is only a small area where you can swim without hitting the rocks. There are water sports that are also free. We went kayaking and had a blast and also went tubing which was very fun. The pools are nice and the cave bar was a cool spot. We had a great time, but there is room for improvement.

We went back to c.c on the last day of May for two weeks all inclusive, it wasn't our first visit. We had been 3 other times once on our second honeymoon and twice with family. People might say how lucky we were but unfortunately because of our previous trips we had the hotel as it used to be absolutely beautiful. We were warned by posts people had put out the the hotel was tired and decided to over look them as we wanted to go back for a last time as my parents are elderly. Tired was a too polite word, they shouldn't be receiving guests in certain rooms in the hotel as we found when we we're relocated to a slightly better room that had a shower that worked and didn't flood the room. There wasn't a bath in this room which we weren't bothered about as the last rooms bath was taped and filled to within an inch of its sorry life. We were relieve when I put our clothes into the draws and they didn't drop through, as you've guessed like in the last room. The rugs by side of huge and extremely comfy bed were filthy and in desperate need of being replaced, so they spent the first week of our holiday out on the balcony ( had to bring back in as floor was very slippy) as one lady found she fell and ended up with her arm in plaster. We did make the most of out 5 person 25k holiday as my parents had paid for us, food was very good in reflections and drifters staff were a little rude and you almost felt you were putting them out at times. The few older members of staff that had been there over 20 yrs were lovely but the younger staff were really not doing the hotel any favours . Believe me I could go on and on, elegant have contacted us to follow up these issues, I can't call it a complaint as we didn't only pointed out problems. Loungers canopies broken , chairs in drifters broken, steps all around hotel chipped and you've guessed it broken. The hotel confirmed it is due for a refurbishment but they have put it back untill tamarind has been done. Premium prices for not a premium quality hotel, at the moment .

Beautiful hotel by the water with a pool on-site. Some rooms offer stunning ocean views. The rooms themselves are clean, spacious, and equipped with strong air conditioning. Blackout curtains are a great bonus for restful sleep. I especially enjoyed the private jacuzzi on the balcony.
Dinner dishes were delicious, though I would suggest expanding the variety of food options throughout the day. I visited in early May 2025, and the hotel felt quiet with few other guests. The beach was clean, and the sunsets were absolutely breathtaking.
The island has plenty of activities to offer — from surfing and e-biking to exploring the local culture. The locals were warm and welcoming.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this place.

My stay at The Abidah hotel was nothing short of awesome. From Nikki at check-in who made sure our welcome mat was placed to the bartenders Rico and Kyle who made our drinks with love and other staff. The room was beautiful, jacuzzi was relaxing and the food was awesome from breakfast to dinner. I will definitely recommend The Abidah Hotel!

I had many issues within the resort, the first major issue was the broken air conditioner I reported it many times as my mother has asthma and nothing was done until the last night of our trip. I was ensured a refund for this issue but every time I call the manager is "never there". Expedia reached out as well and the manager is not there. How can you manage a resort yet you're never there.
Another issue is the lady at the front desk the elderly lightskin one. She was very rude and likes to do things intentionally. She tried to charge us extra for a taxi ride which was not the same price we paid and she tried to make a lame excuse to justify herself.
We signed up for the complimentary dining experience at the sister location and nobody ever came to pick us up.
I did like the bartender and everything else at the resort was fine.

MOULD IN FIRST FLOOR HALLWAY, STENECH OF MOULD IN ROOM 107. FRONT OF HOUSE AND THE BOOKINGS DEPARTMENT INEPT AND IMPERTINENT(bar Nikki). STAFF BLEACHED THE HALLWAY AND PAINTED OVER THE MOULD AFTER IT WAS REPORTED (though the smell and mould obviously reappeared within days; we already had evidence before their shoody cover up job anyway). WRONGLY TOLD EXPEDIA NOT TO REFUND US THOUGH 107 WASN'T USED. IN SHORT DO NOT BOOK HERE! Endless negatives, however (apologies for misspellings) Mrs Sharon deserves a promotion and pay rise. She is beyond delightful and ran dining with so much aptitude, diligence and professionalism. Alike, Andreh. They both singlehandedly redirected such a tumultuous experience into a positive one; always so nice, friendly and polite, but equally remarkable at their jobs.
On arrival Charlene was embarrassingly unhelpful with resolving a rerooming request stating there was no mould and the city tax issue (Expedia quoted us less). She was completely fine subsequent to this day.
Shaunie was horrendously unprofessional and argumentative continously refusing the refund, claiming I stayed in the flagged mouldy room when there was cctv outside the room to prove I didn't. Hostile and abrasive just like Tara from bookings who refused to speak with me on the phone to resolve the matter. After the pictures Expedia refunded me. Both Tara and Shaunie would do well to be mentored in custimer service by Nikki who was completely empathetic and professional.
A couple stayed here in Feb and told us it's already down hill since Oct.
Ms Sharon, Andreh, Juluis, Neil, Chef D and his team, Nicole and the housekeeping team, the young man who manages the beach (name begins with R I think), and the young lady on dinner service, amazing. However the poor dilapidated state of the place, mould and some surpar employees warrant never staying in this place ever again. Save your money, go somewhere else.

My first time in Barbados and we stayed at Sugar Bay All-Inclusive. Sugar Bay All the Way!! The resort was beautiful, rooms were clean, food was great, staff were exceptional! I highly recommend going to Harrison's Caves, we rode horses at the Ocean Echo Stables both incredible experiences. We hired a taxi driver to take us all over the island. Barbados is a wonderful holiday destination. We will definitely be going back!

We have just come back from spending a week at Sugar Bay…WOW. Absolutely the most amazing holiday we have ever had. From the moment we arrived all of the staff were so kind and polite. All very attentive and we have been waited on hand and foot. The MOST BEAUTIFUL surroundings, activities and access to all that you need. The food was out of this world, and of course the cocktails! All of the staff were helpful, attentive, kind and courteous. Also a shout out to Samantha E, who was extremely kind and thoughtful. Would highly recommend Sugar Bay to everyone!

Sugar Bay is our new favourite resort. We travel to the Caribbean and Mexico several times a year and while we are not big spenders, we like comfort and good value, and beautiful beaches. The hotel is on a lovely beach that is well protected by barrier reefs. My husband called it his" big kiddie pool". There are plenty of chairs and the watersports staff provide umbrellas each morning. We found the rooms to be spacious and clean. The housekeeping staff are wonderful. Making sure we had plenty of bath towels. They kept the public areas spotless and constantly attended to. The menus at the buffet were such a nice change from the food at other all inclusive resorts. We found something new to try at each meal, and admired the nod to the local cuisine. Fish cakes? Yes please! The thing that sets this hotel apart from any other though, is the staff. Never before have we found such warm and welcoming members. A smile and hello was always offered. The wait staff were attentive and professional. Special love to Nicholai, Akiel (apologies for misspelling) and my newest friend, Helen, who knew what I wanted without my having to ask.

For our 25th wedding anniversary, we decided to shoot big, and get out of our comfort zone and leave the US. Our stay was outstanding! As soon as we arrived we were greeted with smiles, rum punch and the sweetest people. The buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner never disappointed. With a different theme everyday there's something for everyone and plentyyy to choose from. And for those people who complain about it, I'm convinced they're the people who nothing will make them happy and complain just for the sake of it. One of our servers, Breanna was such a sweetheart, i know shes going to do great things! Keep that smile girl🥰, it works well on you! The rooms were clean, comfortable and air conditioned. Shamara, Germaine, and Kimberly were always around keeping things spotless, with smiles on their faces everyday, they were so pleasant and welcoming, and Kimberly is the cutest ball of fun! The staff were amazing and the bartenders were on point. Joan, Helen and Lee are super sweet, fun to talk to and whip up some banging drinks, anything you can possibly think of and a few you'd never think of! Try Joan's Bounty 😉. But we have to give extra extra props to Akiel. Not only was he on point, friendly, out going, would show up on the beach with our favorite drinks without even asking, AND also makes some amazing drinks, but he went ABOVE and BEYOND for us on multiple!!!! occasions!!!! on his days off none the less. We cant even express our extreeme gratitude. Sugarbay is lucky to have him! We're looking forward and cant wait to go back!

The staff is fantastic! Outside of Helen at the main bar everyone else made sure you enjoyed your stay. Not a tremendous amount of food variety but the food was delicious. There’s no nightlife! The beach is very clean. Drinks are good and lots of nonalcoholic options. I highly recommend this resort.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Marriott has completely renovated it and worthy to be called luxurious. The most outstanding part of this hotel is the staff. Each and everyone of the staff was incredibly accommodating to our every need and want. Heather, Linda Monica Nicole Bryan Wendell Michael Kianna Mathew Jamal Carole all gave excellent service. The food is incredible the head chef Wayne makes the most amazing dishes and each and every one of his dishes was excellent. The beach is beautiful but a little rocky . The food in the restaurant is expensive but lunch prices are more reason able than dinner and the food is excellent. It was N incredible experience and I can’t wait to return.

We spent a week at the Colony Club Hotel in April 2024.
It was a lovely week and we had a good time.
There were lots of negatives and lots of positives!
One disaster is how unfriendly the staff are. With a handful of exceptions of nice staff, the majority of the rest were somewhere between ignorant and almost harshly unfriendly. Even when you approached the staff with a bright smile and "good morning", there was usually no warm or friendly response. We have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. And it wasn't just us who were treated so rudely, but all the guests.
I found two small birds kept in a barren cage next to the restaurant very unkind. This is good for nothing and terrible to look at!
The hotel is getting on in years, but is expected to be renovated from the end of April 2024.
The fantastic beach deserves a special mention! Unbeatably beautiful! The free water sports facilities are also great! The quality of the live music in the evenings (which changed daily) was excellent and provided a wonderful atmosphere during the very good food. The lush green gardens are just as beautiful.
So the possibilities are there!!! Probably being renovated now too... now if they could just find nice and friendly staff it could be great.

Very friendly staff and good service. The beach is lovely with an excellent swimming area with good snorkelling right off the beach in a safety buoyed area. The beach is tree lined as well which is good for shade as well the usual beds and sunshades. Don’t worry if you don’t get a sea view room. All the rooms look into very lovely luxuriant tropical garden. Breakfast buffet was good though not so much choice if you are vegetarian (lots of eggs!). Drinks are on the higher end for Barbados.

Just got back from the Colony Club. This was our second trip there and enjoyed it just as much. Although the main pool was closed for maintenance there were others to chose from. The food was very, very good and the room was spotless. The staff here really made you feel like part of the family so it was hard to leave. We will be back sooner rather than later!

Our experience here was not a good one. First the good points: we got into our room earlier than check in - some of the employees were very friendly - the views were very pretty - we had an amazing taxi driver who we were able to call upon a few times - our maid was wonderful and very thoughtful!!
The very wrong issues:
1. This building is not being kept up to a standard that matches the price you are charged. The outside of the buildings have rotted wood and black moldy stains.
2. The main pool was under construction ( they offer you some hotel credits for food etc.) once they finished the construction part of the pool they then started filling up this huge deep pool which meant we had little water pressure. It was not fun having to shower with such little water pressure.
3. The bathtub is very aged. The bathtub faucet was not working correctly - it was very difficult to change the water from bath to shower.
4. Room service would take too long to get ur order and then deliver it to ur room.
5. The television would not work at times. We had a remote that didn’t even have a back to it. The batteries were taped to keep them in.
6 The food was below average yet priced high.
So maybe it was timing but I will not be going back nor would I recommend it to anyone.

We had an amazing stay at Sea Breeze Hotel! The location is perfect — right on a beautiful beach with our room having a fabulous ocean view. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming, I would like to single out a few members of staff for making our time there extra special , Jerome one of our waiters , Jamal at the beach, AKA Captain Jack, Gerome and Chester at the pool bar and also a special thanks to Eli Chrisohn who came round with ice lollies every afternoon and would cheer us up with her dancing,with me joining her! The hotel was very relaxing and special. Can’t wait to come back! 🌴💙

It was an amazing stay with such lovely staff, infact all of them were great a few grumpy ones in the F&B part lol but dominantly all lovely. My daughter and I spent 5 days at Sea Breeze and it was awesome. I did not want to leave. Room was perfect and cleaning staff amazing. Wait staff in all restaurants were efficient, sweet and attentive. Reception staff were most helpful and friendly. Tyrone was a great tour guide and driver to and from airport. The location was great as not in a crowded resort area. Beach beautiful. We had some seaweed but resort cleaned daily. Did not smell. Highly recommend.

The Sea Breeze was as a once in a lifetime holiday for me and my family and the hotel lived up to all expectations.
The staff treated you like royalty, remembered your names, so kind to the Children and went above and beyond, Danielle, Marcia (Bar), Prince, Tia, Krisjohn (sorry spelt this wrong) to name a few, but there was many more and some I have just forgotten their names (sorry) who were the best!!
The food was sensational, SPA beautiful and our Rooms were in the perfect position for us and nice and clean also which was key for me.
We asked for ground floor rooms due to my Husband recent knee op and they did this and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy.
The restaurants beautiful and hotel lovely but it was the STAFF that really made it what it was and we cannot thank them enough.
The only down fall we had was the beach closure due to Seaweed. Although of course it is nature and not the Hotels fault, the beach had in fact been closed over a month, with all facilities not in use, and therefore we did feel the hotel should have warned guests as you pay a lot of money to also use these facilities which were unavailable. The social media posts also did not show or advise seaweed so a little disheartening HOWEVER the hotel did lay on a trip to another beach, which was great, but for a family like ours with young Children, the coach trip to a beach which you had to stay at for 5/6 hours was not ideal and why we chose a resort where you could just come and go and nap, in shade etc. As stated not the hotels fault but I think after a month of it still being there, telling guests might have been wise. The Travel Company did liaise with Sea Breeze and yet again they have been FANTASTIC and an agreement was made when returning back there.
This HOWEVER did not ruin our holiday and quite honestly I think shows just how incredible this place is. I would not stay anywhere else. The staff became friends. The Hotel felt like home, and I’ve never been somewhere and wanted to return so soon. Dream holiday.

Our recent stay was Phenomenal. From the moment we check-in everybody was exceptionally pleasant. The food is good and very well-seasoned. We booked the luxury junior suite with the sea view. Our 5-day, 4-night stay was wonderful overall. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful — spotless, well-maintained, and visually stunning. Cleanliness was never an issue, and the food was surprisingly quite good.
That said, there are a few things to note. We visited in mid-October, which is apparently a slower time of year. If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, this is perfect. However, for us, it felt a little too quiet, with very little entertainment happening around the resort.
The staff were all lovely and kind, but service tended to be on the slower side. The beach directly attached to the resort isn’t swimmable due to rough waters, though there’s a complimentary shuttle to a gorgeous beach called Carlisle Bay, about 40 minutes away.
There were three restaurants on site; however, the main buffet offered limited selection, especially for children. I wouldn’t recommend this resort for families with kids, as there isn’t much in terms of kid-friendly dining or activities.
Overall, it was a beautiful and relaxing trip — perfect for couples or anyone looking for a calm, quiet escape.

I had the honor and privilege of staying in the two-bedroom Presidential Suite at this resort, and it was absolutely amazing! The staff was incredibly accommodating from start to finish. I brought a group to celebrate a milestone birthday, and the suite was perfect — luxurious, spacious, and comfortable. We were even able to host a few group activities thanks to the plush accommodations. I highly recommend this resort, and especially this suite, for anyone looking for a truly special experience!

My 5-day day stay(10/11-16-2025) at the Wyndham Grand Barbados Sam Lords Castle All-Inclusive Resort was pleasant, however it fell short of expectations. I do want to say the staff were welcoming and appeared to enjoy working there. My expectation (based on the website) was higher than what I actually received. In reference to the amenities listed on the website, they were limited to the fact that my stay was doing the off-season (which I was constantly reminded of)
1- Shuttle service was limited to once per day (and not every day), with a capacity of 12. So, if you were not one of the 12 to sign up you would have to secure your own transportation.
2- On my first two days there, we have the luxury of having a buffet poolside. After that meals were limited to what was on the bar menu. We were told because there were limited guests they could not continue with the buffet.
3- The concierge was great and did provide us with useful information about the island and local activities.
4- The resort was all-inclusive except for in-room service delivery fees. So the food was free, however, there was a $25 charge per delivery.
5- Although there were burners under the food, unless you get there when it was first put out, it was cold. (and there are not microwaves). I do want to point out that the food was good and the selection was adequate.
6- The selections of dining options, in my opinion, were a bit misleading. We ate in the Mediterranean market(main dining location) which I believe was the main dining area for breakfast/lunch/dinner. The castle view restaurant boasts to be fine dining and required a reservation. Yes, the food was good, however, and it was not "fine dining" in any way. Also, they advertised "brunch" which they were not doing during the "off" season. As stated earlier the poolside buffet (Sam Lord's grill) was discontinued after my 2nd day (yes-it was the "off season")
I may or may not return during "peak" season to see how the difference. Overall, the stay was relaxing, and the island is beautiful.

This was our second trip to Barbados this year, but our first time staying at Wyndham. The grounds were well-maintained and clean. The staff members were professional. (My husband and I found it quite interesting that they seemed to address only me and rarely spoke to him about anything! Lol)
When we arrived, the hotel had a power outage — and unfortunately, that happened several times throughout our stay.
Our room was spacious and clean, with a decent view of the pool and ocean. The only downside was that the table on the balcony could have been larger.
There weren’t too many restaurants to choose from, but I did enjoy breakfast at the buffet and dinner at Castle View. However, the chicken at the buffet was undercooked each time I tried it. The drinks were just okay. On the plus side, water and quick bites were always available at Lucy’s Lounge, which was convenient.
The entertainment was great! We enjoyed the live bands.
Overall, Wyndham was fine, but I don't think we'd return. We prefer adult-only resorts, and we were hoping for more dining options. While it was a great deal, we've had better experiences at other places.

This All inclusive was wonderful! Booked it for a weekend birthday getaway for my boyfriend and we both fully enjoyed the services. Staff were Great and customer service was beyond great! Fine dining dinner was A1, pool was very nice. The grounds are kept clean and beautiful, we Walked around the property and it was wonderful!

The staff were nice and the dinner and breakfast was good, but it doesn’t justify the price. The hotel itself is utter rubbish, it has one restaurant not 3 as they claim. You cannot really swim since the beach is very rocky, rooms are old, we found two live crabs in our room. There is no drinking water available in the rooms, the internet was working half of the time.
I would have nothing against the hotel if it would be 3x cheaper. Then it would be reasonable, but for 1k a night, you expect more. I felt ripped off basically.

This is the typical Caribbean bait and switch. The words are just perfect on the website, the experience is far from it.
We were told we’d be beachfront with sweeping views - we were ground floor and saw vegetation and lots of Canadians and Brit’s outside our patio blocking the view.
As for the attentive concierge, we asked for dining recommendation and were handed a book with not even a hello.
Things didn’t turn around once we asked to speak with a property manager. The manager was more sophisticated, kind and did her best. She did give terrific recommendations for restaurants.
The complimentary snorkel experience which is promoted as part of the turtle sanctuary was a speed boat that takes you a bit out and there is no to little conservation. The staff who did this were extremely engaging and we had a nice time.
The restaurant staff were very kind and attentive. The food was overpriced and quality was fine.
I recommend this place if you want to overpay for a decent pool and beach. This is not a luxury resort. At best, it’s a decent VRBO called a resort.

My husband and I, who are in our 70’s, have just returned from this heavenly resort. The accommodation was spacious, luxurious and with heavenly views. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We would particularly like to thank Tracia Braithwaite and her entire staff team for looking after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble for them and we very greatly appreciated all their kindness and consideration, doing everything to make our holiday the trip of a lifetime.

For the cost, Turtle Beach is really 3 stars, but i enjoyed my one week stay and will give it 4.
Many people complain about the birds which will be after your food during alfresco dining, but I liked the wildlife being there.
The hotel is old and dated but so what! My room was big and comfortable with a great view. However. it was quite a long walk to the main areas; the hotel is well spread out.
The staff and meals were good. I particularly liked the ice cream parlour, the swimming pools and room service.
The beach was hopeless; lots of seaweed on it, and all the beaches on the south and east coasts of the island. If you want a good, clean beach, you have to go to the west coast which is mainly taken up with rich folks' homes . There is only ONE hot, small lift (elevator) to cater for all the rooms - terrible!
Do take a trip round the island - well worth it!

The price-performance ratio at Turtle Beach Hotel is disappointing. While you can enjoy a buffet three times a day and book a table for à la carte dining in the evening (which was usually good), the buffet food itself left much to be desired. The potatoes, for example, were dry and soggy rather than crispy. Most of the staff were unfriendly and made us feel unwelcome.
Finding a sunbed was nearly impossible as all of them were reserved with towels by 8 AM. When we asked about activities or a hotel plan, the staff dismissed our questions, and after searching for a while, we gave up. Additionally, activities listed on the daily schedule came with extra charges, which is unacceptable given the high cost of staying here.
Another strange aspect was the “dummy receipt” provided for meals, showing what they supposedly cost, which seemed unnecessary and odd. The laundry service was outrageously expensive as well.
On the positive side, the rooms were clean, and the reception staff were kind and helpful. However, for those wanting to explore the island, this is definitely the wrong hotel. Even for all-inclusive visitors, there are likely better options offering more value for the price.

Pure Perfection!
Our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel from the Marriott Autograph Collection was absolutely unforgettable. The property captures everything you’d want from a true Barbados escape — steps from a pristine beach, breathtaking ocean views, and a relaxed, elegant atmosphere that feels both luxurious and personal. The rooms were beautifully designed with thoughtful Caribbean touches and kept spotless throughout our stay. The staff truly made the experience special with their warm hospitality and attention to detail — every interaction felt genuine and welcoming, special thanks to the operations manager and the team that arranged special dinner accommodations and stayed late at night to serve us. From morning coffee overlooking the sea to sunset walks along the sand, everything about this stay was magical. We can’t wait to return to this little piece of paradise!

Absolutely outstanding experience!
From the moment I arrived, I was met by the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered—some even greeted me with a warm “hello” as they passed on their way to work. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they were doing, which created a really positive and welcoming atmosphere.
I visited for breakfast and was blown away. The food was immaculate, beautifully presented, and constantly refreshed as items were taken. Every request we had was handled quickly and with a smile, and when we asked for extras, they were provided without hesitation.
The meal itself was superb, and the surroundings were equally lovely—calm, clean, and relaxing.
This was one of the most enjoyable breakfast outings I’ve had in a long time. I would highly recommend it and definitely plan to visit again!

Room was cleaned every day and always brought up whatever extra we asked( coffee, water etc) they do activities and water sports. The beach is beautiful and the water so clear that you can see the fish even without the mask . They always bring cold towels and cold snack while people sunbathe. Excellent in every way. We were in a ground floor, just a hop, skip and a jump to the pool, bar and restaurant. Perfect location.
Pool - very nice, plenty of sunbeds and bar and restaurant service from your lounger.
Bar - great service with all your usual favourites.
Restaurant - at the start of our trip all meals were cooked to order. As the week progressed buffet meals were introduced for all three sittings. Personal preference is cooked to order.
Water activities - snorkeling, paddle boards, hobby cat, and water taxi to waves included.
Staff are very attentive and soon get to know you.
There are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance.

This was our third visit and it never disappoints. Our luxurious and comfortable room was oceanfront with chaises both on our patio and on the stunning beach. Great food and friendly service made for a wonderful stay. A shout out to Aleesha whose big friendly smile welcomed us for breakfast, to Shane who made up our chaises and ensured we were never short of towels and Mary Ann our hard working and efficient server in the restaurant.
We look forward to the re-opening of Palm Court on our next visit.

We booked our stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion in Barbados through American Express Platinum Fine Hotels & Resorts, which entitles us to specific perks — early check-in (12 PM), room upgrade upon availability, daily breakfast for two, a $100 property credit, and late checkout (4 PM). Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, the experience was disorganized and disappointing.
We arrived around 2:30 PM, expecting our upgraded room to be ready, but the staff seemed unaware of the Amex booking benefits. After waiting while they “looked into it,” we were told we would receive an upgrade — yet our room was still not ready. We were sent to the beach restaurant to wait, where the menu was extremely limited. We ordered a mozzarella and tomato salad only to be told they were out of mozzarella, and the only cheese available was goat cheese. We ended up sitting there for over an hour and a half, finally receiving our room at the regular 4 PM check-in time.
The property itself looked dated and poorly maintained, not what one would expect from a Fairmont-branded, 5-star hotel. Once we got to the room, it was thankfully clean and comfortable, with a beautiful ocean view. However, the “upgrade” seemed questionable — when I called to confirm, the front desk explained that the room I originally booked would have been on the second floor, and the one we received was the same category, just on the third floor. That felt misleading and disappointing.
The next morning’s breakfast was another letdown. There were cats wandering near the food, and when we asked about it, staff simply said they were “part of the hotel.” It’s unacceptable and unsanitary for animals to be that close to a buffet. The cheese platter was half melted, the smoked salmon didn’t appear properly chilled, and most of the hot food was dry and overcooked — and it was only 9 AM. The only decent option was the made-to-order omelettes, which we ate for the three days we stayed.
We spent most of our time off property with friends rather than at the hotel, which says a lot about how uninspiring the experience was. When it came time to check out, we requested our Amex late checkout benefit (4 PM) but were denied. After calling back to ask for at least a small extension, we were reluctantly given an extra hour.
Overall, what was supposed to be a romantic getaway in paradise turned into a “we wish we had booked Sandy Lane instead” kind of trip. For a hotel under the Fairmont and Accor brand, this was a major disappointment and well below 5-star expectations. Sadly, our first visit to Barbados will be remembered not for its beauty, but for this underwhelming hotel experience.

My stay at the Fairmont Royal Pavilion was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that made me feel instantly at home. The beachfront location is simply breathtaking.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, with luxurious touches and all the comforts one could ask for. I especially appreciated the private balcony, perfect for enjoying a quiet morning coffee or a sunset cocktail. The staff went above and beyond throughout my stay, always attentive and eager to help with a smile.

My fiancé and I visited Fairmont for their Bubbles brunch on 28 Sept, 2025 after calling to make a 12Pm reservation earlier in the week. The occasion was my birthday. We arrived exactly at 12 and stood at the hostess booth..after recognizing no one was coming to us though several wait staff were walking back and forth in front of us, we went to the bartender and asked to be seated. He told us the hostess was at break and that we could take a seat in the lobby. 12:30 came, the hostess had still not come back and no one updated us on what was going on. At 12:40 my fiancé asked an employee when would we be seated, he then pointed to the hostess who had just come back said she will come to us, she never came. We went to her and expressed our discontent and asked for a manager. When the hostess returned she stated they did not have a reservation for us and proceeded to make several excuses to the manager. After about 5 mins we were seated. Fortunately, we had a great waiter, Renee, her service was 12/10, if she wasn’t the waiter I would have rated this hotel 0 out of 10. The food was okay, nothing was particularly good.

We originally planned to rent yachts for our wedding week — but choosing Cobbler’s Cove turned out to be a million times better. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is something special. Everything felt effortless, personal, and wildly beautiful.
We had most of the hotel booked for our 60+ guests, and it genuinely felt like our own private Caribbean estate. The staff was flawless — warm, attentive, and intuitive in the way that only the best hospitality can be. Every guest (and they’re a well-traveled bunch) raved about the service and can’t wait to go back.
The week was a dream from start to finish — a welcome party, beachside rehearsal dinner, and ceremony and reception that somehow each topped the last. We stayed in the suite with the private pool, which became the perfect late-night spot once the formalities were done.
Every day, we took advantage of the private boats, heading out for swims, snorkeling, and rum punches at sea. It was the ideal blend of adventure and total relaxation.
And the food — truly exceptional. Every meal felt like something out of a world-class restaurant: fresh, vibrant, and unmistakably Barbadian. From the beachside breakfasts to our multi-course wedding dinner, it was all beyond expectations.
Cobbler’s Cove manages the impossible — it’s five-star luxury wrapped in warmth and ease. They had everything we needed for the perfect wedding week, and then somehow gave us more. We left feeling like we’d lived in a dream, and our guests are still talking about it.
If you’re lucky enough to be considering Cobbler’s Cove for your wedding or even just a getaway — don’t hesitate. It’s heaven.

We have just returned from a week at Cobblers Cove and we had an amazing stay. The hotel is outstanding in many ways.
We stayed in two adjoining rooms which were beautifully designed with excellent fabrics and accessories, the bathrooms had rainfall showers and matching seersucker bathrobes. I loved having fresh cafetière coffee from our little kitchenette every morning, sat in our veranda watching the hotel come to life.
The staff are outstanding! From the lady that checked us in, the bar staff, restaurant, housekeeping, sports, gardening…just everyone. But particular mention has to be for Gregory, who went above and beyond every day around the bar/pool area, with a constant supply of water and drinks, always a smile and a helping hand. Shaquon in the bar area is another gem, we loved his sense of humour, he was friendly and attentive (making me non alcoholic hot toddies when I was unwell) and always at everyone’s service. Allia in the restaurant area at breakfast, the lady with the most beautiful smile and great service, it was a pleasure to see her in the morning. Roger, from the water sports hut also deserves a shout out, went out of his way to give us brilliant experiences on the speedboat and was very knowledgable about the area.
All areas of the hotel are super clean, the gardens amazing (we saw hummingbirds every day), the beach beautiful and the food incredible.
We hope to come back, it was a holiday never to forget.

I stayed at Sandals Barbados for 5 nights to celebrate my birthday — my first Sandals experience — and sadly, it fell short of expectations.
When we arrived, our room had a broken toilet, no light bulbs, a dead phone, and a TV remote without batteries. While maintenance eventually replaced the bulbs and batteries, the toilet and phone remained broken. By day 2 I had to take time out of an already short stay to visit the front desk and follow up. I was dissapointed when they offered no compensation or goodwil geature until I had to ask for it.. which it shouldn't have come to. Even then being offered only a $150 room credit doesn't reflect the level of inconvenience or the resort’s high nightly rate.
Housekeeping was inconsistent — one day our room wasn’t cleaned at all despite multiple calls and even visiting the front desk. I also mentioned my birthday several times before and during the trip, but it went completely unacknowledged, which was disappointing for a brand known for romance and luxury 😞 and celebrating a milestone birthday.
We also encountered cockroaches in our room and even in two restaurants (Spices and Merry Monkey Pub), which was unsettling for a resort of this caliber.
On a positive note, the staff were genuinely friendly — everyone we passed greeted us warmly, and the grounds, pools, and ocean views were absolutely stunning. However, the evening entertainment was repetitive, with the same songs played nearly every night.
Overall, while the property itself is beautiful and the staff pleasant, the lack of attention to detail, cleanliness, and service recovery made this trip disappointing. I truly hope Sandals reviews its quality control and guest experience to better reflect the “Luxury Included” promise.

The staff is super friendly, the grounds are perfectly manicured, and the food is excellent.
When we say that it is our favorite we really mean it.
The fact that Sandals allows the use of both resorts is excellent, particularly at this resort because they are both together so you don’t have to take a shuttle to a different resort.
This feature allows the use of all the restaurants at both resorts giving you a very varied menu of excellent food to choose from.
The staff is amazing, friendly, courteous and full of love for their beautiful island and talking to them lets you learn not only about the resort but also about Barbados.
The rooms are spacious and well appointed with a complimentary mini bar stocked with things like wine, beer, sodas and other things to make your stay a pleasant experience. The best part is that if you want something different, all you have to do is ask for it.
Included with you stay are Water Sports like snorkeling, catamaran sailing, and scuba diving (must be certified). Also included are tips, food and alcohol at any of the many bars and restaurants around the resort.
Overall, for the price you can’t beat a vacation here.

This was our 14th Sandals stay and sadly may be our last. The resort itself is beautiful — perfectly manicured grounds, gorgeous pools, and well-lit pathways that make it a joy to walk day or night. The restaurants were great, especially Heart & Sol for fresh, healthy options. (Note: all fryers use soybean oil, so be cautious if you have allergies.)
The big disappointment was the concierge service — by far the worst we’ve ever experienced at any Sandals. They barely communicated, didn’t acknowledge our birthdays or anniversary (even though it was noted on our profile), and never checked in on us once. We even had to track them down for departure times. Honestly, a complete waste of money.
Our bathroom ceiling caved in early in the week, and while the concierge team was slow and confused, we want to thank the nurse, the front desk staff, and especially Brian the manager, who stepped up and took care of us with professionalism and kindness.
Beds were incredibly hard, and the “mattress topper” was just a folded duvet. Hardly slept all week. Bring your own topper if you can!
Now for a big positive — the Red Lane Spa. Absolutely phenomenal. We booked an amazing couples massage and went back later in the week. The spa on the Royal side is stunning with its zen garden and plunge pools. The team is professional, warm, and honest — they even noticed we had an unused $150 credit and applied it automatically without us asking. Five-star service and well-priced.
In short:

Sandals Barbados could be a dream vacation — but only if management seriously improves the concierge experience.

I had a wonderful stay at Sandals Barbados. We were here for four nights and my only regret is not staying longer. This resort is unique as it is two sandals in one. Sandals royal and sandals Barbados. So there is twice the amount of pools, restaurants, beach chairs, bars, and everything else. The grounds were meticulously maintained and the gardens were so lush and beautiful. Make sure to check out the rooftop pool and the sky bar. Sailing was also a lot of fun!
The staff was very friendly and kind and there were tons of options for all meals. I liked that each restaurants menu had a lot of variety. Even the two steakhouses menus varied.
We booked the basic balcony room and had no regrets. It was perfect and nice and air conditioned.
The location is also great and very convenient to the airport which is nice. Only a fifteen minute bus ride. You could stay on the resort, take tours, or wander into st Lawrence gap. We loved the beautiful Barbados tour that took us to the wildlife sanctuary and st. Nicholas abbey. The monkey feeding was really cool.
Also if you love cats. The resort has some very cute kitties that live here too. This was a bonus for me lol.
Before coming I was a bit nervous because of some of the reviews but we had zero issues during our stay. I cannot wait to return and am so sad to be leaving. 10/10 experience. So happy we chose this sandals resort.

A huge, belated thanks to the staff at the Tamarind for making our little family reunion/big B-day week-long trip a massive success. We were a group of 16, aged 2 - 80, and everyone had a blast. The kids loved the pools, the parents loved the bars by the pools, I enjoyed slipping away to the adjacent beach oasis. The free water sports were a hit, the food was excellent, the ocean views from the suites were breathtaking. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and were pros at dealing with all sorts. We had an amazing trip. I hope to go back to the Tamarind someday and I highly recommend it.

Beautiful hotel with a stunning location, just wow. The food was adequate and sometimes amazing. Breakfast buffet style, but do go and see Ether on the egg station, but if you order an omelette, don't ask for cheese until last, you've been warned. Lunch the sane buffet style unless you order food from the bar, but expect a slow delivery. Evening meal, sometimes off a menu other times buffet, it seems to depend on how they feel that day. Also, book your restaurant times asap for your evening meal. The beach was small but adequate, but the pool was more than enough for me. I do wish they had poolside waiters, but considering our experience with the hospitality staff, it may have been a blessing in disguise. The rooms are dated, but they suit the surroundings and are cleaned to a high standard. If you have a chance eat at the restaurant next door. It's included in your stay, but book it as soon as you arrive, the views are stunning. Unfortunately, waitresses and bar Staff were the only things that let this place down, 90% of them that is, the rest couldn't do enough for you. It may be that they had a bad week, but either way, it put a downer on our holiday.

Really friendly and attentive staff. Was really quiet when we were there but started to fill up with families with young noisy kids as Easter approached.
Great location right on the beach, and decent food.
The water taxi to the 3 other hotels in the group was handy for a change of scenery.
Taxis are really expensive - as is everything else! Duty free on gifts though bring prices down to UK levels.

I didn't really like this place.
It's expensive, but not worth it. There's a $20 charge for room service, bit It's an all-inclusive, so I'm so confused about this. I don't feel I got value for the price of the stay.
The lady at dinner was super nice! She made sure I chose something nice and even went above and beyond by bringing it up when she called, said it was ready for me to pickup and I took my own sweet time to go get it.
Also, didn't feel like a Marriott Gold member. There was a bit of paper in the room, but that's it.
Loved the robe though.
Staff is really great. Everyone I encountered is top notch and really want to ensure you had an amazing time.
Thanks for the umbrella, it helped as it poured while I was there.

We stayed here in April for our Honeymoon. It was the perfect destination full of luxury, tranquility, impeccable service and divine food. The O’Hara family were most welcoming, all staff at Coral Reef Club were super friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.
The food at the hotel was absolutely scrumptious, we ate there 3 nights and also dined at the sister hotel the Sandpiper too for a Bajan Buffet which was 10/10 and the most stunning buffet display.
The Spa was incredible, the treatments were the best I’ve had. Thank you to the Reception Team for your hospitality with arranging taxis and a boat trip, you just made everything super smooth and easy for us. Every night has evening entertainment, each set of musicians were top quality and thoroughly enjoyable. The tropical gardens are impressive and immaculate, we loved the view from our balcony and morning walks around the grounds. The beach towel & service team were super friendly and attentive, we spent many hours daily on the beach with a sorbet in hand (complimentary), iced water topped up and towels at the ready. The whole experience staying at Coral Reef Club matched the 5 star standard in every way.
We can’t wait to come back to celebrate an Anniversary. We felt so truly rested and spoilt. Thank you to all at Coral Reef Club for making our honeymoon one to treasure. Jennifer & Nicholas x

This was our second visit to Coral Reef Club and it didn’t disappoint. The room was a beautiful sea view / garden room and was immaculately clean with fresh towels and iced water daily. The food is outstanding, from breakfast to lunch, late morning sorbet and beach drinks to evening dinner and cocktails. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the beach waiters are super hardworking and friendly. There is a well equipped gym and tennis coaching which we enjoyed, together with evening musicians/singers which were lovely on the evenings we dined in the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and every member of staff had a smile and hello for you throughout our stay.
We cannot wait to return to one of favourite places to visit. Thank you everyone at the hotel for making our stay so special.

A client had contacted me for a hair braiding service from Coral Reef Club. I had met 2 young ladies who were so helpful. The atmosphere was cool and nice. The room I did my service in was a decent size with air condition. I loved it.

The Coral Reef Club is a small slice of paradise along the stunning west coast of Barbados. You notice the extreme attention to detail and the rooms are uniquely placed throughout the lovely grounds. One particular delight is the bar and restaurant which is ideally located and provides top caliber food and service with languid sea breezes and a stunning view. The spa is another immaculate realm and has ample spaces to relax, a nice pool, and the treatments are in well-appointed rooms. The esthetician and masseurs take care to tailor the treatments. You always feel your best at this gracious property.

We had a great stay overall – the room was super comfortable, always spotless, and cleaned really well with fresh towels and water refilled twice a day, which we really appreciated. Food quality was excellent.
However, the service around the bar area during the day - lunch time- left a bitter taste. My husband and I noticed we were often treated differently compared to other guests. We constantly had to flag down staff just to get a menu, and a few times the waitresses seemed to ignore us completely. On one occasion, I sat for 30 minutes without anyone coming over, while others who arrived later were attended to straight away. I ended up going to the bar myself just to place an order – not a big deal in itself, but it felt unfair given the clear difference in how others were treated.
It’s a shame, because aside from that, the rest of the staff were kind and helpful.

We stayed at The Sandpiper last week and it was like stepping back in time to old school classic service which is unbeatable. From the moment you arrive and being greeted by name from the General Manager, to every step of your stay, the staff cannot do enough for you and nothing is too much bother! They are friendly but also happy in their work which creates a wonderful environment to be in! The hotel is clean, well kept with a wonderful aesthetic, we were out of season, but never did it feel overcrowded or too many people! The pools are well situated and the beach is a lovely stretch just a stones throw from the main hotel areas! There are many shops and restaurants in walkable areas and the sister hotel of The Coral Reef offers a fantastic spa which I visited a few times throughout our stay!
A true testament to this hotel is, that now at another hotel on the island for our last few days, we continue to wish we were back at The Sandpiper!

Everything was exceptional! The beach, the room, the service, the food, the cleanliness, the location! As soon as we arrived, we were kindly welcomed by the manager who showed us around the hotel. All the staff are very welcoming, friendly and respectful.
My father forgot his passport at the hotel after checking out and only realized it at the airport. The hotel was extremely helpful, they arranged safe transport to the airport very quickly. I'm truly grateful for their help so that my dad could take his flight 😊

My husband and myself AND our daughter and son- in-law recently spent a week at The Sandpiper and had the most wonderful time. From the moment we entered the lovely surroundings until the last goodbyes we loved every minute of our stay. The owner, manager and all the staff, from gardener, housekeeping, to upper management could have not been any more kind and engaging. Our Garden Rooms were beautifully decorated with fresh flowers, and lovely linens. The nightly turn down service was exceptional and the rooms were spotless. The beach and gardens are stunning and the breakfasts were over the top delicious and served by wonderful staff. We felt so special during the entire stay. We ate at Harold’s Bar a few times and also had delicious drinks while on the beach. The included water sports were an added treat. We can’t thank the Sandpiper enough for the wonderful vacation spent with them in Barbados. If we could give a rating of 10 out of 5, we would!! We were sad to leave but hope to return.

We have just arrived back from a nine-night stay at Waves and we had the most amazing time.
I’ve sat here reading others’ reviews before writing my own to see where some of the lower star reviews came from.
Having been coming to Barbados frequently for the last 30 years and having visited many restaurants and hotels on the island, the speed of service at this hotel is just Bajan! It’s also speedier than many other places I’ve been on the island.
The staff are unable to control the tide, or the rock formations on the beach, nor can they control the shrinkage of the beach due to coastal erosion. This is also happening all over the island.
The room was a great size (we had a standard room on the spa side of the hotel) and we didn’t find any fault with the furnishings. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was beautifully decorated.
We stayed here during the time when the main side of the hotel, the beach side, was closed for refurb, so we only had the spa side and the public access to the beach. However, this didn’t really impact our stay at all and the staff treated us like royalty throughout. We couldn’t have been better looked after.
Tip for using both sides of the road with this hotel: the road gets really busy around rush hour, so 4-6pm, so you might want to take that into account.
We couldn’t fault the food at all - the menu can get a little repetitive but the quality of the food is great. We were never disappointed. If you’ve stayed in any of the other hotels in the group then you will see some similarities between how the food is prepared, which was nice for us as we’d enjoyed the food at the other properties previously.
All in all I’d highly recommend this hotel, especially for how good an experience the staff make it.

I had a wonderful experience at The Waves Hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly personable and welcoming, offering top-notch hospitality throughout my stay. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The food was absolutely magnificent—every meal was a treat.
A special thank you to the amazing front desk staff, especially Astrid, for her warmth and professionalism. Big thanks to Kevin at the concierge desk for being so helpful and attentive. I also want to acknowledge the excellent bar and food service staff, as well as the hardworking housekeeping team—your efforts truly made my stay exceptional.

I stayed at Waves Hotel & Spa, an Autograph Collection resort, from July 13–18, 2025 with my young children. On the first morning of our stay (July 14), we had no running water in our room for a period of time. When the water began to return, it came out pulsing, brown/yellow, with debris, and was unusable for drinking, brushing teeth, or showering.
As a parent traveling with small children, this was extremely concerning — especially as my 6-year-old noticed the water before I did, and I cannot be sure whether she or my son came into contact with it.
What troubled me most was not just the water issue itself, but how it was handled:
• No one from the hotel contacted us proactively or offered bottled water until much later in the day.
• I had to call the front desk multiple times to even alert them to the issue and request water.
• If the hotel truly believed it was an “isolated” case, they should have moved us to another room immediately — but this was never offered.
• Instead, management minimized the problem, provided spa vouchers and champagne (which were meaningless as a parent with kids), and eventually offered a 20% refund (about $1,000 on a $5,200 trip).
To me, this is not equivalent to an amenity being unavailable. This was a potential health and safety risk with very poor communication and follow-up. Marriott corporate has since been involved, but no fair resolution was ever reached.
Future guests deserve to know that if a safety issue arises here, it may not be handled with the transparency and urgency you would expect from a Marriott property.

Went here as a couple for a getaway first time to the island honestly speaking I chose this resort based on availability for me to use my Marriott points. I was a bit hesitant in booking because there were so many reviews that were polar opposite of each other from people staying at the exact same timeframe and just literally opposite reviews, but I was able to book an oceanfront room, which I always like to do and so I decided to go for it and I can tell you I would love to give this place a five star but honestly, it’s not a five star resort it does however, have five star potential I would say a lot of the five star has to come with updating the resort. It definitely is a good shape order resort, great location. The beach is rather small, but that’s not the resort‘s fault and I would never be negative toward the resort and the staff on something south of control I know in speaking with some of the locals, they said the island with hotels on that particular side have been dealing with the erosion of the beach, but the beach that is there is nice. It does sometimes feel a little crowded because the chairs and tables are a little close. The other side of things with the four star versus five star is the beach service is a hit or miss some days it was great some days you literally had to look around to see if there was even anybody still there ever a few times I literally walked up to the hotel bar inside to get drinks and take back down so they need a little work there But the majority of the staff there and I think this is the key for me while I was there one of the sister properties, if I recall correctly, the name was the colony house, which was come to find out a non-all inclusive. They had their people there working along side of the staff employees for waves, and I can tell you with great certainty the employees that work for waves 10 out of 10 I’ve been to a lot of resorts. I’ve been to some that are way more expensive than this and those employees Literally will do whatever you ask as long as it’s in their ability the colony house employees on the other hand, sometimes acted like they could care less, whether they even acknowledged you whether it be out on the beach in hotel bar in the restaurant so a lot of the negative feedback that I would have toward the staff would only be pertaining to the staff that was there during my stay From the colony house staff members, and you can clearly see who they are because they have Colony House on their shirts, which is different from the staff employees for the waves. The resort is uniquely laid out it’s split so all of your ocean front rooms are gonna be on the waterside and then there’s a road that basically goes around the island you gotta cross over that road to go to the other side of the resort the pool over there is definitely nicer more of a resort style pool. There’s a small pool on the Beachfront side, but it’s the family pool, which was never had one person in there a few times that we went in there just to cool off on the beach a slight negative they only have two restaurants there the one that is on the beach side was really good. We ate there Seven out of eight nights that we were there and I have to tell you the food that we had was amazing that menu literally changes on the daily. They do have their normal dishes, but then they have a regular change up daily of I would say most of the entrées and I read reviews that the food was horrible and this and that I consider myself a foodie and I enjoyed everything that I had. I’m not gonna say that everything Was 10 out of 10 but presentation and overall quality and taste of the food I thought was great and as I said, I would consider myself a foodie so take that for what it is the Indian restaurant across the road we went there the one night it was really good, but that menu does not change so we did go there the one night, but we never went back because we felt like we had what we wanted to try the first time we went and there was no need to go back The spa I thought was really good as well! Go check it out!

Beautiful Resort with Minor Issues - First Visit to Sandals Royal Barbados
My husband and I recently stayed at Sandals Royal Barbados for our first Sandals experience, and overall, we had a wonderful time. From the moment we checked in until departure, the service was excellent and the resort itself is absolutely stunning. The property is beautifully maintained with gorgeous grounds, excellent amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay, which really enhanced our experience. However, there were a couple of issues worth noting. The phone in our room was not working for our entire stay, which made it difficult to contact the front desk or have means to communication (especially if we had an emergency) without leaving the room. For a resort of this caliber, having functioning in-room communication is important. Additionally, we were disappointed with the photography package. For the cost of the photos, we expected at least some basic editing, but the images we received appeared to have zero edits or retouching applied, which didn't seem to justify the price point. Despite these concerns, we still had a great experience overall. The beauty of the resort and the quality of service in most areas made for a memorable first visit to Sandals. With a few improvements in these areas, it would be absolutely perfect. Would we return? Yes, but we'd hope these issues are addressed for future guests.

What a fabulous resort!! Ideal location and the beach is right on your doorstep!! Rooms are very spacious and beds were very comfy. All the staff were absolutely amazing and so helpful and friendly. Food was outstanding!! Plenty of restaurants on the resort to choose from and they have something for everyone and nothing was a problem. Adult only resort so very chilled and peaceful. Would definitely recommend for the ultimate peaceful and tranquil experience.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon last week. We had butler service, it was okay but I don’t think we would do it again. They didn’t really check in on us that often. Could have been a little more involved. We had some friends and their butlers were on top of it, so compared to them ours were not really there. Didn’t try to communicate more than phone if food was done or something was dropped off. Was more of a surprise when we would go back and sit down. Our room had a pretty view and was quiet but could use some tlc. The couch was very dirty on the bottom near the ground.. like it had water/mud around it and dried like that. We had ordered some food for room service a couple times and it took a lot longer than it should have. We asked for it to be there by a certain time and both times were around 30-40 mins later. We understand being busy but thought that was kind of interesting. The drinks were good ( Oshin was the best .. our favorite bartender.) Whenever she made our drinks we knew they’d be so good. Friendly, sweet, and personable. You can tell she likes her job and what she does. Some other workers were not so nice but most are. We had a couples massage, that was nice. To be fair half of this was on us for not asking about massage but it would’ve been nice to know it wasn’t included. It would be a good thing for the resort to have a little more to do rather than just bowling. Maybe have more karaoke, and more night life. Just a lot of money to spend but not quite enough to make it feel like it was worth spending that much. Overall very pretty resort and trip. We had a great time. Oh and our bus driver RICARDO was great, funny, and kept the energy up .

Great service and beautiful views from the rooms. Delicious food and friendly bartenders and servers and resort staff.
Overall the resort is just a bit rough around the edges for a 5 star resort, but it's a solid 4 star from me, enjoyed my honeymoon here for 6 nights, and may be back in the future.
The best part of the resort is Oro restaurant, make sure you check that out if you are visiting!

On the first night, I was informed at 6 p.m. that washcloths and towels could not be provided. The following day, after repeatedly requesting additional towels and washcloths from the front desk, I waited several hours without delivery and eventually had to go to the desk in person. The front desk attendant attempted to contact housekeeping but received no response.

Although our stay included a promise of evening turndown service, this was only provided on our final night. The pool was attractive, but it required daily cleaning, which we often had to request. Beverage service at the pool was notably poor—orders were taken with visible reluctance, service was slow, and at least one staff member displayed unprofessional behavior, including eye-rolling.
Given the rate paid, the value was not reflected in the service provided. Many staff appeared disengaged and unmotivated. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property, as my overall enjoyment in Barbados was due solely to the company I traveled with, not the hospitality experience.

Absolutely terrible! I went there this summer with some family members. I had been there two years ago, in 2023 and had such a better experience then. This time the staff were incredibly rude, abrasive and dismissive. I had paid for 5 days to get a round trip pick up from the airport, however the day of our arrival nobody came to pick us up even though I had sent them our flight info etc. I called the hotel, the staff were so dismissive and rude and instead of apologizing, told us to get a taxi and they would reimburse us which they did. From there everything went down hill. The food was absolutely terrible. The seafood buffet had the cheapest quality food served and wouldn’t even give that food to my dogs. The service staff were surly and unkind. The drinks were also cheap. The drinks that used to be replaced daily in the hotel rooms had been exchanged for a same bottle replenishing device. The whole experience was just extremely disappointing. To pay that much for such poor service was unacceptable.

Second week, stayed at this hotel. First thing to note above all, every member of staff makes this hotel exceptional. The previous ridiculous comments about evening turn downs of beds and check in delays is just a load of noise from typical negative key board warriors. Rooms are really good with food and friendliness a credit to the country and the hotel. We were party of 5 and we all had the best time. Drinks all good premium and will definitely return. Just came back from a lovely week at O2. We stayed in the Sunrise building where we had a gorgeous ocean view and a beautiful large balcony with comfy furniture. The staff at the hotel are incredible, so accommodating and so friendly. The food is good. We loved dining at Oro and went there twice. We also were happy with the options at Elements. The one meal we didn’t love was at Brisa, but it’s all inclusive, so you can go have another dinner! I really enjoyed the Oasis bar where I got iced coffees and banana milkshakes. The swim up bars were fun too. The beach was beautiful but the water is a bit rocky, so I wish I had brought water shoes. The resort is a short walk from nightlife in St Lawrence Gap. We had a great time and hope to return.

Quiet and comfy boutique hotel in St. James parish. The hotel shares the beach with Sandy Lane a 5 minute drive away. Excellent chef driven all inclusive restaurant located in the “living room”. Staff were great attentive and friendly. Our ocean view room was stunning.

I can’t say enough great things about The House. It Our trip to Bardados would not be the same if we didn’t stay here. The staff was EXCELLENT! The rooms were gorgeous and the food was top notch. We were greeted immediately and made to feel so welcome. We were treated to a complimentary 30 minute massage which we scheduled for day 2. The hotel can arrange everything from jet skiis to transportation to the tourist sites on the island. They had complimentary snorkel gear, paddle boards and a small wind sail.
It’s been only 2 days since our trip ended and we truly miss the staff, the meals we enjoyed on the patio, and the pure feeling of “vacation”. My family and I will be returning the The House soon!!

This is a special find if you are looking for luxury, amazing food, and the best staff I have every encountered. The entire island is filled with caring kind people, but the staff here goes above and beyond. We were here for 5 days, and every meal, drink, question, or encounter was positive. Andrew is the funny and keeps you smiling! Wade and Devere are amazing bartenders and will make you the best drinks in the world. They are serious about their drinks and I promise they can make a drink for any occasion. Nice job gentlemen. Pat can make you the most amazing omelet and they are even better when she is singing (she has a beautiful voice). Kwise is has mastered the art of taking care of people! Sophia, Mark, Rico and Anthony were amazing servers (there were plenty of servers, but we were served by these amazing people). We broke a glass one night and Antwan was like a ninja cleaning up quickly with a smile on his face!

One of the best hotels on the island! For an all inclusive hotel it is really a great place. Not the typical tourist trap... Will book it again next time I come ;) all rooms are right at the beach, turtles came by at night to nest. The food was delicious and they have two more properties next door, where you can eat as well.
Rooms always cleaned up and fresh towels. Just perfect. Also no kids! So good to be in silence and enjoy the atmosphere
