Our family had an amazing vacation at Sensira. This place was built for those with kids. From start to finish, we enjoyed every single day.
The rooms were well set-up. The triple bunk in an adjoining room made it a great sleeping situation. The walk-in shower in a nice long bathroom, with a separate room with toilet, made it easy for all of us to wash off the sand and get ready each evening. The fact that the family rooms were on the ground floor gave us a great sense of security none of our children would fall over the railing a great distance.
The food was awesome. The buffet was great for breakfast and lunch. We ate at one of the 4 restaurants each night. We found the steakhouse had a good variety for our picky eaters; and the mechanical bull was a blast! If you can, the French adults only restaurant is exceptional. The outdoor food joint with servers made eating during the day great, not having to leave your cabana or pool chair to get something to eat.
The service was usually great. The only 2 negatives I can think of: the drink lines tended to get very long and would take a while, and housekeeping was very hit and miss. Sometimes our room wasn’t cleaned until after we left for supper; and the bar fridge was never refilled unless we called front desk (this included the bottled water).
It wasn’t hard to stay entertained during our stay. The 4 pools available to families spread everyone out nicely, lots of chairs and daybeds available. Our kids really enjoyed the pool with all the water sprays and slides. The kids also loved the trampoline/foam pit/climbing area, it was a great way to burn off some energy. The pool tables, foosball and air hockey are all in rough shape. The video games were difficult to access as the sign-out area was infrequently attended. The movie theatre was a nice feature that we didn’t really use as the volume was always excessive. The beach was interesting; there was a significant build-up of seaweed at the start of our trip, but they did start to take care of it during our stay and didn’t really bother us much. The zip line was a lot of fun for our oldest. We didn’t utilize the beach volleyball (good set-up) or the paddle boards & kayaks (always available).
Overall, great experience and would recommend to anyone with young kids; 14 and under would be my recommendation. Definitely the best value we found and weren’t disappointed.

Kids paradise. Awesome place for a family with kids. Service was spotty, servers had preferences for guests and would completely overlook you. Every room I think has an ocean view so that was nice and unexpected. Shows were late (9pm) for kids. Buffet had nice options, including grill to order seafood and nice cuts of meats. Food leaned really heavily American which is not our personal preference but I can see the appeal to other travelers. Very clean overall and you see lots of maintenance staff constantly to upkeep the resort.

We’re a family of 5 (6,4,1 y/o) and this place was perfect for us. The staff are fantastic and food was surprisingly very good. There are critics of the beach because it draws seaweed. The staff is out every morning cleaning up as much as they can. Still totally fine to swim and enjoy. If you can’t deal, don’t go here. Kids splash pad is great for kids 1-7 y/o. Three restaurants for special dinners but the main dining buffet provides just as good, if not better meals. Plenty of indoor activities for kids as well if they need a break from the sun!

Our family just got back and had an amazing week!! The breakfast and lunch staff at the buffet were incredible. Ever and his helper were so accommodating. At night we enjoyed the steak house and Jesus took care of our family every time and cannot say enough good things about him! The entertainment staff and kids club staff provided so much fun for the kids! Overall I would say a 5 star experience! We will definitely be back!

I rarely write reviews, but after staying at this hotel, I feel compelled to share my experience, especially since their high rating and four-diamond status are completely misleading.
To start, the cleanliness of the hotel was appalling. The towels in our room smelled terrible, and the pool was far from inviting. The water was murky and dark, with no detectable chlorine scent, which made us question its safety. We even found a broken plate outside the elevator that remained there for three days, and when you turned on the water in our room, it smelled strongly of sewer and mildew. It felt like nothing had been properly cleaned for a long time.
The food situation was just as bad. Despite advertising eight restaurants, there was only one open for breakfast—a buffet that required a long wait to even get seated if you didn’t arrive before 7:30 AM. Once seated, the service was sparse, and drinks were frequently forgotten or never arrived at all. On top of this, the food itself was awful— I had stale bread, sour-tasting items, and dishes that seemed past their prime. The fact that they offered “mystery water” from a large jug instead of providing bottled water was concerning, especially in a family-friendly resort in Mexico, where you’re advised not to drink tap water. They only left a few bottles in the fridge and wouldn’t replenish them unless requested, and even then, only allowed one per person. For an all-inclusive resort, this felt incredibly limiting and unsafe.
The staff, while clearly trying their best, were overworked and understaffed. You could tell that the frustration was building, but unfortunately, this is a management issue, not the staff’s fault. Bartenders were often overwhelmed, and the drinks were poorly made, with long waits and incorrect orders.
We did find one okay restaurant, the Rodeo Grill, but even with a reservation, we waited over two hours for our meal. This was incredibly difficult, especially with young kids who were hungry and tired after a long day.
To add to the chaos, there was a stray dog roaming around the hotel, unaddressed by any staff. We witnessed children trying to pet it, and it bit one of them. This lack of attention to safety was alarming.
The hotel’s nightclub played loud music until 1 AM, shaking the hotel’s walls and preventing anyone from getting a good night’s sleep.
One of the most upsetting aspects of our stay was the overall health and hygiene concerns. After returning home, several members of our group developed fungal infections. Given the state of the food and the general lack of cleanliness, we can’t help but wonder if we dodged a serious health issue during our stay.
While the hotel advertises a wealth of amenities, including eight restaurants and four pools, this is another case of false advertising. Yes, technically they may have these amenities, but they are far from what you’d expect. The pools are small, especially considering the number of rooms and guests. Similarly, the beach chairs are in limited supply, and with the number of people staying here, it’s nearly impossible for everyone to use the space comfortably. They make it seem like there’s an abundance of things to do, but with the sheer volume of guests, it’s clear that there’s not enough to go around.
When you read reviews for this hotel, it’s hard to reconcile the glowing feedback with the experience we had. We’ve stayed at multiple all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, and none of them have been this bad. The discrepancy between the ratings and the reality of this place is beyond frustrating. It feels like false advertising at its worst, and I suspect these glowing reviews may not be entirely genuine.
Finally, the beach area is disappointingly small and crowded, with a large volleyball court taking up most of the space, leaving little room for beach chairs. The hotel also has random, frustrating rules— for example, you can’t access the beanbags for cornhole until 1 PM.
It’s heartbreaking to have a hard earned vacation ruined by a hotel that fails on every aspect.
