Great hotel! More of a relaxing resort. The workers are really nice and very friendly. There is this one bell boy who is AMAZING. His name is Javier Reyes and the most sweetest person we met there. He does his job with a huge smile and always greeted us with joy. He is someone who does his job without expecting anything back.

This was my first all-inclusive and I am glad that I selected this place. Room service for cleaning and food included. My friends and I took the adults-only resort, although there is a sister resort that is family-friendly a few steps away, which I would assume is a perfect in-between for larger groups with different lifestyles. We stayed for four days. Amazing rooms. The star I left out is because I anticipated spending a lot of time at the beach (it is steps away from the resort) but there was too much algae to enjoy the water and the beach, so we spent all of our time at the pool, which is fine too. Just adjust your expectations in this regard. Some people swam on the family-friendly side, but we did not. The beach is fine to see the sunrise however. Nice entertainment and variety of foods. Not a lot of opportunities to eat local dishes unless you take a tour outside of the resort. I highly recommend the tour that brings you to a Mayan village, the Chichén Itza (one of the 7 World Wonders), swimming in a cenote, and a colonial-style colourful city. It was the highlight of my experience.
The team members were very kind and friendly. We used the spa and had massages, it was a lovely experience all in all. I highly recommend!

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to share some concerns regarding our current stay at the Platinum Hotel.
Firstly, we’ve noticed that the cleanliness of the hotel does not meet the expectations of a 5-star establishment. There is a significant amount of garbage and leftover food scattered in the hallways. While we understand that the hotel is surrounded by wild life, better management and maintenance would go a long way in improving the guest experience.
More importantly, we were informed at check-in that no reservations were required for the à la carte restaurants. However, on our very first evening, we were told there was no availability due to full waiting lists. Out of the four restaurants, only two were open — and both were at capacity. This left us with no option but the buffet, where we had to wait over 30 minutes just to be seated.
Given that this hotel is marketed as a 5-star resort — a rating that was also confirmed by Air Canada at the time of booking — this situation is unacceptable. While we recognize that there may be staffing challenges, continuing to accept new bookings under these conditions is highly disappointing and misleading to guests.
We hope to see improvements during the remainder of our stay and look forward to your response.

We had a fantastic stay at the Adults Only/Platinum side of the Yucatan Princess Resort! The food exceeded our expectations with delicious variety at every meal. The staff were truly the highlight—warm, attentive, and made us feel so welcome.
We wanted to give a special thank you to Israel, Adolfo, Alberto, Benedicto, Julieta (excursion rep) and Luis (Coco Bongo), for making our experience especially memorable.
We also loved how calm the Platinum side of the resort was. I highly recommend upgrading to platinum if you want a relaxing, mellow atmosphere. The normal side was more of a party-vibe.

You won't regret it. This place is amazing. I stayed for 14 days. Best vacation I ever had. And I will be coming back 100%. Love it here. Love the food. Love the rooms. Love everything. And I wanted to thank the chefs for the delicious food. The only negative thing is, in the buffet they use to have the snack bar available 24 hours and the food was available near the buffet area. Now you have to wait 30-45 minutes to have your food delivered to you. So thats a big no no. People liked it at their disposal. Even i don't like the change. So that is a 1 star for the buffet area.

The customer service is incredible. Every little thing we needed was taken care of. The rooms were very clean and very nice. Again I cannot rave about the service enough. They were kind and helpful
The hair dryer in our room went on the fritz, I mentioned it to the front desk and it was replaced within minutes.
The food is amazing, the views are amazing.
Every day there is very cool entertainment at the pool. From acrobatics to live music

This is a great place to go if you don't mind staying up late. Their food was good. The reservation process for special restaurants was ridiculous. It could only be made through the app and the app would not work. Nonetheless the regular food was great. If you're old and like to go to sleep early do not go to this place. They play extremely loud music and have a party from 10:00 p.m. until 11:45 every night and you won't sleep in no room in this hotel. Unless of course you can sleep through anything. Other than that it was a very friendly staff you just need to know what you're getting into

This was a terrible experience. The property has aged badly, and they don’t seem to put much effort into keeping it clean. We had to try three different rooms because they all had mold—so much so that after checking the third room, the front desk employee admitted they were all in the same condition.
Common areas were left dirty overnight. They also had live music every night that went on late into the night. The resort is advertised as family-friendly, but it’s hard to get any sleep with young kids when loud music is playing so late.
The buffet area was dirty, and the employees used questionable procedures to restock and keep the food fresh.
This is definitely a property that saw better days a few decades ago. If all you care about is price, this might work for you—but if you want a clean, quiet, relaxing, and safe place, don’t bother.
We ended up checking out four days early because we tried to speak with management about our concerns, and they simply didn’t care.

The location of the hotel is great. However, the rooms are completely disgusting. They are out of date and neglected. They are never properly cleaned either, and outlets don’t work. The hallways don’t have A/C nor the elevators and they’re always breaking down or stuck. This place charges you so much money for trashy rooms and trashy service. I had to request my towels be replaced 4 times before someone actually came to do.
The food is NOT good. It is tasteless, the only good thing to eat are the omelettes. I asked one of the cooks for a steak and he gave me a ton of attitude then gave me an overcooked piece of meet that felt like I was chewing on rubber.
I wish someone had told me to stay away from this place. Definitely the my worst/first experience in Cancun. I’d never return here even if they paid me.

Extremely Disappointed – Will Not Return
I was hoping to leave a good review for this resort, but our experience at the Grand Oasis Palm was so disappointing that I feel compelled to share. From the moment we arrived, the service was far below expectations. The staff was consistently rude, unhelpful, and made us feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests.
The room we were given had a terrible smell that lingered throughout our stay, making it incredibly uncomfortable to relax or sleep. We asked to change rooms, but our concerns were brushed off without any real effort to help. When they finally worked out to find us a better room, we were asked to pay a very high price for it.
The restaurants were no better — the service was painfully slow, and the staff seemed indifferent and unfriendly. It took forever to get even the simplest orders, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and unimpressive.
This was supposed to be a relaxing family vacation, but instead it turned into a frustrating experience we couldn’t wait to end. We will definitely not be returning to this resort in the future and will be looking elsewhere for a place that actually values its guests and provides decent service.
Do yourself a favor and look for another option — this place is not worth your time or money.

Unrivaled Luxury: A Firsthand Look at a 5-Star Retreat
The establishment prioritizes guest satisfaction and boasts a prime location with numerous daily activities.
The food options are exceptional and plentiful, although it is advisable to plan dining arrangements in advance. This is not a criticism, but rather an appreciation of the current system in place.
& Upon arrival, the bell boys promptly attend to your luggage and escort you to your room. Thanks to our pre-check-in via the Oasis mobile app, the check-in process was incredibly smooth, and our room was ready ahead of time. We were delighted to find a spacious family room with a stunning ocean view. The international buffet offers a wide array of food options throughout the day, and the staff is exceptionally accommodating. Daily room cleaning and sheet changes are diligently carried out. While there are numerous bars on the property, the service can be slow due to limited staff. I would suggest adding more bartenders at the beachfront bar. The beach is well-maintained with lifeguards, security, police, and Mexican marines ensuring additional safety.
Complimentary pirate ship cruises are available for families and adults, which was a fantastic experience.
The nightly shows are top-notch, creating a paradise-like atmosphere with friendly people all around. A stay at Oasis Resort is truly unforgettable.

Overall experience was horrible.
Very few bilingual staff which is surprising for a resort. My husband had a very hard time asking for even the most basic things like beverages AT THE BARS
We switched rooms three times because the first room was as directly in front of the outdoor garbage cans and the second had no functioning AC
The food never changed. Was the same at both buffets daily.
There’s people on site who invite you for a “Welcome Lunch” but it’s really just a ruse to sell you a membership for this mediocre hotel. And then they get mad at you for not dropping $20K on this membership and make you feel uncomfortable
The one coffee bar had one single employee at all times so the line for an iced coffee was literally out the door always.
The pool was also always dirty all the time. Bird poop on all the lounge chairs. Literally had to ask for a chair to be cleaned to sit on.
Also, we got food poisoning a few days in. And the on site medical centre took forever to assess (because the one on site at the time did not speak English and they had to wait for the bilingual employee), and did not take travellers insurance for basic care.
The only good part was the beautiful location/nature/ocean. And all the roaming peacocks.
10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU WASTE YOUR MONEY

I booked this resort back in Nov. after reading the reviews, I was extremely nervous on what to expect. I was so nervous because it was our family summer trip. Let me tell you! We had a wonderful time, our experience was great from the time we got our room. We did have issues getting our room at 3:30 pm like promised. We didn’t get our room until around 5:30, luckily we had family with us who had arrived a day before. That allowed us to cool off and change into our bathing suits to enjoyed the pools and food while our room was being prepared. The staff was polite and friendly, pool is beautiful, kiddo zone was great, Our room was very clean. House keeping did great on cleaning it and leaving clean towels and all we needed. It doesn’t include all the restaurants but we had enough to eat with the 2 buffets offered. We did make reservations for the steak house ( we didn’t like it) buffet food was better. Overall my children and us had a wonderful time. Will definitely go back.

I stayed at the Oasis Cancun resort from 8/13 to 8/17/25. #1 – The website notes check-in at 3pm. I arrived that morning to check-in (at 9am) and was told not to come back until 4pm. #2 – When I went back at 4pm to receive my room, I was given an ocean view one-bedroom, when I reserved an ocean-view two bedroom. I proceeded back to registration and was told the concierge would need to help me. The concierge in our building informed me there was no availability of the room I booked, that was paid for at an additional cost. Oasis’ policy is “bed configurations are assigned based on availability at the time of arrival.” I received no refund for the amount I paid for the ocean view 2bedroom, nor was an accommodation made for me. BEWARE, you may not get the room you paid for. #3 – there were several people who walked onto the resort selling items. Resort staff seemed to allow this. #4 – the food at the buffet was just “okay.” #5 – the lounging chairs at all the pools appeared dirty, thus did not feel comfortable sitting on them, especially the beds at the Oasis Beach Club. #6 – our room was in need of serious upgrading and repairs. The doorknob to the restroom was broken, a piece of our toilet seat was missing. The only enjoyment was dinner at the Sakura restaurant. Will not return.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Oasis Cancun. The service was excellent—definitely 5-star. The staff were always friendly and willing to help at any time, which made a big difference in the overall experience.
The rooms, however, could use some improvement. You can't control the air conditioning, which was a bit inconvenient, but since I didn’t spend much time in the room, it wasn’t a huge issue. The bed was reasonably comfortable, so I still got decent rest.
All of the amenities were great, and the shower had excellent water pressure—always a plus. The basic all-inclusive package was underwhelming, but upgrading to the Pyramid package made a huge difference. It elevated the entire experience and made the stay even more enjoyable.
The views were stunning, and the beach was absolutely beautiful. I especially loved seeing the peacocks roaming the property—it added a unique and magical touch, even though they do tend to scream at all hours of the day and night!
Overall, I had a wonderful time and would definitely consider coming back, especially with the Pyramid upgrade.

From start to finish, this was such an amazing experience! Yoe, our host, had such great energy and set the tone for the entire trip. The service was absolutely outstanding Abraham, Sergio, and Fernando were incredibly attentive, careful with every detail, and made sure we were well taken care of. Michele, the manager, went above and beyond to be helpful and ensure everything was perfect. The whole team worked together seamlessly, and it really made our first girls trip unforgettable. Highly recommend! Amazing food, safe area and relaxing.

I was here for My wedding on July 12. Myself and entire wedding party stayed here so we booked out 42 of the rooms they had. Just say the least we took over the hotel. I arrived on the Thursday with my wedding bridesmaid and grooming, and the check-in was very smooth. They knew our group was coming so the entire staff was wonderful from start to finish. They accommodated Us to the max capacity. Myself and husband was upgraded to the presidential suite, which was so nice of them to upgrade us to. A lot of my family got upgraded rooms as well. They booked out private dinners for us since we had a large group with us. We booked out a welcome party on the beach and had a blast. We played same volleyball. We were in the pool. They got us our own personal bartender and food cookout so all the wedding guests wouldn’t have to go into the normal restaurants. It would just be a faster access to food and drinks! I have visited this hotel Four times now And with this trip being my wedding trip, they did an incredible job. I worked with Ivan Who got my number and WhatsApp and we communicated the entire time. With all my wants and needs. All my guests said they loved their rooms and the food and the drinks and just thought the whole hotel was beautiful. A lot of of them went to the town and they said they love that as well! Everyone who worked my wedding was so accommodating and the set up was beautiful. We had an incredible time and I highly recommend anyone wanting. Intimate destination, wedding to come here. Everything was top-notch and I really appreciate all the help the staff gave us. I’m really happy that we were able to provide some entertainment as well. We had a young vibrant, College reunion basically and everyone told me how happy they were to be at the venue at the same time as us because we brought a lot of energy and good vibes. I’m looking forward to one day coming back for my anniversary. Please do yourself a favor and book this hotel for yourself, you will love it!

I spent a week at the Fives Oceanfront hotel and it was the best experience ever. The staff are so welcoming and kind it really makes the experience awesome.
The hostess with the mostest, Yoe is such a wonderful person. Very kind, and enthusiastic and she really made our experience very welcoming. She recommended some meals and even places to go. She really is the best!
For dinner, we were kindly served by Abraham basically the entire trip. He was very patient and attentive. Thank you as well!
Sergio, Fernando, Hair and Michele were awesome as well. Always checked on us and made sure we had the best time here.

Stayed here 4 nights with another couple in a two bedroom oceanfront suite. The rooms and service are great . We are Emerald prestige members but you won't receive the same benefits as other prestige locations unless you upgrade to an Epic package which we did not . The walk to town is easy walk down the beach and the people in the town are very friendly. The food is pretty good but be aware the restaurants are pretty hot and with the seaweed smell eating can be a challenge if your sensitive to the pungent odor. One night we decided to order room service as we couldn't go outside . The problem is not the beach directly in front of the hotel which is pretty clean it is the massive amount of rotting seaweed just up the beach. I know this is out of their control as a staff but it still affects your trip negatively. The last day here on a Saturday the only real place you can kind of escape the smell is the rooftop pool and they closed it for a wedding. I can see it being closed for a few hours or half a day but the whole day closed....it's one of two pools and it is unusable to other paying guests and we had no notice so we could plan something else. . All in all we probably won't come back due to the sargassum smell and the lack of communication.

My extended family came here for a getaway and we had a great time. A highlight for my four year-old was the kids club - my daughter called it “beach school.“ she loved the kids swim time, the daytime, activities, and the dance party stuff at night. I was expecting to have to talk her into going, but she had a blast with the staff - Ali, Rubi, Ale, Maria, and Ari. I may have forgotten one of them, but I could probably ask my daughter and she would remember. I think the reason this was a highlight for me was because I was not expecting to use this service and it ended up being so great.
The service was excellent and the entire hotel was exceptionally clean, especially given that there are so many children here. Although the hotel seemed relatively full, we did not have trouble getting chairs at the pool or tables at the restaurant. Several of my family members is the spa services and that also received high praise. The hotel went to a lot of trouble to check in and make sure that we were happy and enjoying the stay. I can only think of two things that would have made the experience more perfect. First, the restaurants were not very well air-conditioned (it was very hot in Cancun at the time). Second, The people in the lobby selling services that the hotel offers like spa and timeshares, etc were a little too aggressive for my liking- Sometimes I felt like I was being hunted.
All in all a fabulous vacation with a lot of wonderful people!

We had a wonderful stay at Sunscape Resort in Cancun, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for a family-friendly getaway.
The resort strikes a great balance—fun and lively without being a non-stop party scene. Unlike some other Cancun spots, the crowd here was relaxed and respectful. We didn’t have to worry about overly drunk guests, which made it super comfortable for our whole family to enjoy the pools, beach, and dining areas.
One of the biggest highlights was the value. Sunscape is very budget-friendly, especially considering the quality of the food and service. The meals were consistently good with lots of variety, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
While the rooms were a bit outdated, they were clean and spacious, and everything functioned as expected. Honestly, we didn’t spend much time in the room, and the overall experience more than made up for the dated decor.
The pools also could have been larger, but our kids loved it!
From what I’ve heard, they are going through a renovation coming up soon so looking forward to the updates they will be doing, they are now owned by Hyatt

My Family and I stayed here for a week and honestly I would go back with no hesitation. The hotel staff was beyond exceptional. From room service, to the restaurants, to the entertainment staff just everything was worth every penny! The atmosphere here is just amazing! I do want to highlight 3 of the Entertainment employees Ari, Ali and Francisco (Pancho) have a VERY special place in my heart! If you are looking for a family friendly resort who has kid activities throughout the day look no further I promise you you won't regret it!

We had an amazing family vacation at Sunscape Resort Spa, where I also celebrated my 50th birthday! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and there were so many fun activities for all ages—fitness, dancing, and even turtle watching at night! Loved our walk-out room. Only downside: the shampoo/conditioner should have been better quality and a few services were overpriced. Still, a fantastic, kid-friendly resort I’d happily return to!

The room we stayed had no elevator, was not told when booked. Some drunk people vomited in the pool, and no one seemed to care. None of the restaurants was decent. The Asian restaurant, the dishes were all microwaved, except for the sushi rolls. The buffet, the hot dishes were not hot and the cold dishes were not cold. The Mediterranean restaurant, food was decent, but the services were extremely slow. The server had attitude, when I got my beef bone soup, it was cold, and he took my drink before it was finished. The only good thing about the resort is the bar, the services were always quick and friendly. Won't be coming back for sure.

Stay here for 2 weeks in may of 2025 for our 10 year anniversary. After the second day we had a issue with the air-conditioning in our room and the hotel happily upgraded us to a suite free of charge. Had a great time and met some great people. The food was amazing, only had one disappointing meal in the Mexican restaurant. Evening entertainment was some of the best we've ever experienced while away on holiday. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. It's situated in a amazing location with loads of natural wildlife and we look forward to returning in the future.

For an all-inclusive hotel, it really isn’t all-inclusive. I’d understand charging extra for big things like wagyu or something extremely premium, but here it was the alcohol, the ice cream, and even a room service delivery fee. “All-inclusive” also excludes people with allergies. Do not go here if you have food allergies.
I do think most of the staff did their best with what they had, but the hotel itself was lacking. My family stayed in the penthouse suite, which had two rooms and a hot tub lounge area on the roof. The jacuzzi was dirty and the canopy up there was moldy. The rooftop was an extra $400, but for what? There were two showers, but you couldn’t use them at the same time since only one would get warm water.
When we first entered the suite, it stunk. The smell was putrid. We asked for the jacuzzi to be cleaned, but I’m not sure it ever really was, so I decided to clean it myself. The dirt that came off showed that no one had cleaned it in a while. Then I tried turning it on, only to find out it was broken. So we paid extra money for a broken jacuzzi we couldn’t even use. They eventually fixed it after we called a few times, but by that point we only had a day left.
At one point, one of the locks on one of the rooms died, so my sister was locked out the whole night. Everyone else was already asleep, so no one realized until the morning. When we left for breakfast, the rest of us got locked out too.
The only reason this isn’t getting a one-star review is because of the staff. Every server and staff member we interacted with was incredibly kind and helped to the best of their abilities. Truly amazing people.

We would like to give particular thanks to the bar manager at bar 1910 - Ulises. He gave exceptional service, was friendly,professional and went out of his way to find answers to questions we had. His knowledge about drinks and cocktails was incredible. Thank you Ulises, you were certainly a positive impact on our holiday and a shining example of the staff at The Fives hotel.

The Fives was a beautiful place to stay. We went for 2 weeks and had the most relaxing time. The food was amazing and the staff and service was some of the best we have ever come across. Hector and Noe in the pool bar were the best barmen ever. They looked after us every day. Even if we felt a bit under the weather, they gave us something to feel better. Absolutely incredible guys and always service with a smile!
Rooms were super and always well kept and cleaned every day. Entertainment each day was amazing and the guys on the entertainment team will keep everyone having fun throughout the whole day. A great place with even better people.

This is a beautiful property with wonderful service. Clair and Omar were always available and made our stay even better! My granddaughter has so much fun getting to see the various animals wandering around. And, all the pools are immaculate and easily accessible. The Spa is beautiful and top notch The food is very good, with some better than other. But, I expect that at an all exclusive. My only complaint is the open bathroom situation. There are blurred doors on the toilet and shower but as soon as you get out it’s open to the room. But, I will still be very happy to come back here again and again!

Me and my boyfriend just went here for five nights. The rooms were great and huge. The food was really good. The steakhouse extra cost steak was also good. The pizza at the Italian restaurant was a hit and the coffee was really unbelievable. The staff were all super nice and appreciative of any tips you gave them From someone who has stated high-end resorts. This resort is worth every penny compared to some of the higher end places that charge more, we will definitely be back and I highly recommend.

The food at this resort was the best I have had at any resort in Mexico. The staff were great. The Italian and steak house amazing food and staff. One night they ran out of what I had ordered so they offered me something not on menu which ended up being the best meal I have ever had. . They work to make sure you are very satisfied and leave happy.
Enjoyed the entertainment staff. All very personable and engaging. Last night playing glow in dark pickleball. Great experience, so fun.
Highly recommend resort. It is not a big resort so get to meet people and socialize which I enjoyed.

The Good
There is a lot to do, including excursions, walking around the resort, and many pools. They had shows at night (live bands or acrobatics).
The food: Most restaurants provided excellent meals.
Allergies: They take allergies fairly seriously, asking for them at the beginning of each meal.
The Bad
Our room was worn out. The light fixture was not attached to the ceiling, our outlets did not all work properly, and the bedside lamps crackled when you turned them on (we unplugged those).
Location. They clumped the rest of our group together but isolated us at the other end of the resort. We all booked the same style of room, requested it, and booked together six months in advance. They did not tell us why we were placed further away.
Poor service: Our room did not have any bathrobes (all other members in our group had some in theirs). It would not have been an issue, but it took us a full week to receive some. We asked the concierge twice and wrote it down in the requests. We asked the front desk when that did not work. Finally, we asked our housekeeper. This sweet woman, who did not speak our language, was more helpful than anyone else. The same thing happened with other members of our group. They also requested basic items but did not receive them, despite multiple attempts. In fact, luggage pickup forgot them, and it took asking the housekeeper to call for a ride to get them any help. If you need something, ask housekeeping, as they seem like the only ones capable of getting things done.
Reservations: This one is a mild inconvenience. You have to book a reservation for every single dinner. We have never experienced this, nor did we like it.
Table limitations: If you are travelling in a group of over six people, you may not be able to eat together. Some places accommodate it, like the breakfast restaurants or the lunch restaurants. The dinner ones (Jade not included) were only available if you paid for a private room (buy two bottles of expensive wine).
This resort may work for couples who do not wish to spend much time in their rooms. It did not work for us.

We had a wonderful stay and your resort exceeded our expectations. Staff was friendly, food was amazing, ample activities, was not crowded in late July, the property is beautiful. The only thing that could be helpful is more signs along the main walking paths. Some restaurants were hard to find. We enjoyed walking everywhere rather than taking the golf carts. We love that you have your own greenhouses and grow herbs and produce, that the ranch takes such good care of the horses, we loved the wildlife, appreciated the tender care of the sea turtle eggs. We definitely want to come back and bring friends, and a trip to generations with our children.

Nobody cleans up the front of the swim up rooms (animal shit has been lying around all week).

My stay at El Dorado Royale offered many moments of peace and indulgence. I spent hours soaking in the hydrotherapy circuit, enjoying a wonderful massage, ordering room service, dining at different restaurants, and simply laying in the sun with nothing but the ocean breeze for company. The grounds were beautiful, the amenities felt thoughtful, and the spa experience was truly a highlight.
That said, the service experience didn’t always match the setting. There were times when asking for help was met with a sense of inconvenience rather than hospitality. I didn’t meet my assigned concierge until after two days, and even then, they often seemed too busy in meetings to be available. This left me feeling not entirely welcomed, which was unexpected for a resort of this caliber.
While my stay still had plenty of relaxation and beauty, the lack of consistent warmth in service kept it from being the five-star experience it could have been.

We had such an amazing stay that we extended it! My husband and I went to the Adults Only, all inclusive, El Dorado Royale resort in Riviera Maya in July 2025 and it was excellent! The staff was so friendly, always going way above and beyond! The resort was beautiful and clean! The food and drinks and excursions were all so great, we were blown away! If you have a choice, ask for Sylvia for your concierge. We immediately felt like family and she made sure we didn't miss anything we would want to see or do! We noticed everyone on the resort spoke highly of her when we told them who our concierge was, because she's such a kind and genuine person. And if you want to book any excursions, talk to Erick in the main lobby! He was just awesome! Such a great energy and he really listened to what we like and don't. He never tried to sell us on anything, but rather matched us with what we'd actually want to do! They were teo standouts among many who really made our stay so memorable and special. Oh, and the guitar player at Fuentes is Amazing! He reminded me of a Jim Croce type and when i told him so, he said he was one of his main idols! Highly recommend this trip and resort. And it was such a bargain price!!

incredibly frustrated with my experience at this resort. I was promised a refund after checking out early, but despite multiple follow-ups, I never received it. What’s worse is that every time I contacted them, I was ignored and not responded to.
It’s extremely disappointing to be told one thing and have the resort go back on their word. I planned my trip in good faith, they agreed to a refund, so why not follow through?
This kind of behavior feels dishonest and unprofessional. I expected better from a resort that claims to offer high-end service. Sadly, it seems they’re more interested in keeping your money than keeping their promises.
I won’t be staying here again and strongly caution others to get everything in writing — or better yet, book somewhere with integrity.

We had a morning group tennis beginners class with Jose Alfredo Alvarez that was great. It was our first time, and he did a great job teaching us all the basics with patience. It was so much fun and he is an really good teacher. He started on time and let everyone have the equal amount of time from teaching us basics to playing full games.

I had a beginner tennis lesson with Jose Alfredo Alvarez in the very hot sun. He was very good and helped with both forehand and backhand elements of the game. By the end of the lesson I definitely felt I improved physically and in my own confidence. I will be back!

The room cleaning staff provided excellent service, I could not say too much about them. All staff was very pleasant and nice to deal with.
Hats off to Francesco, our server at the buffet, he had fresh drinks to us as soon as the glass emptied and plates were always cleared.
The grounds were well maintained, but there was a soiled tissue on the floor of the elevator that remained untouched all week.
And a dirty cup was left on the stairs around Tuesday and when we left on Sunday morning it was still there. So the property cleaners could do better.
Don't try to get a coffee before 7 , and even then you had to go to the buffet to get it.
The evening entertainment was rudimentary at best , great for kids but lacking for adults.
Most surprising was when I looked at the room service menu and saw a bottle of tequila that I drink at home was available for $120 US when I can buy it at the LCBO at home for $46 CDN.
Beach was ok but the ocean was so rocky that I broke toe nails and bruised my feet.
Only went in once because just not enjoyable

Took a last minute (booked the night before through Sunwing) to this resort. Beautiful property and well maintained. The staff was friendly and the food was average. Overall a nice resort and great week away with our family.
The only issue was moving rooms 3 times and no A/C but that didn't stop pur fun. Pools were nice.

Stunning hotel with amazing grounds. Unfortunately, not very family friendly. Adults facilities seem to be with much higher quality and more spacious. Children aged 13 and over are charged as adults but they are not allowed to use any of the adults facilities as they are too young, nor any of the kids slides as they are too old. Overall, not much to do there if you are a teenager.
Activities in the hotel are not advertised or promoted in any way so you never know what’s on. The family pool is way too small for the capacity of the hotel and after lunch, water gets unpleasantly hot so you feel like you are in a hot tub. We went in August, which is outside of the active season, and the family pool was very busy, despite the hotel being only 50 -60% full. Cannot imagine what it would be like when it is full!
Service isn’t brilliant either; staff are nice and friendly but appear overwhelmed, especially at dinner. Orders rarely arrive correct; food is presented very nicely but the same meal looks different if you order it two times in a row.
The one thing all guests get to really enjoy though is the fabulous cocktails prepared by Raul, the talented bartender who can make the best cocktails in the whole resort, presented in an exceptional way (photo below). He has a trolly with finest ingredients and moves from one location to another so it’s always a lovely surprise to see him and order a cocktail.

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at SLS Playa Mujeres All-Inclusive Resort in Cancun! From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless and elevated, especially with the Elite upgrade—which is well worth every penny.
Our kids were obsessed with the family pool and thrilling water slides—they spent hours each day laughing, splashing, and making memories. It was the perfect setup for a family getaway where you never feel the need to leave the resort.
The staff was truly exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to Jane, our amazing customer service representative, and to Alexis and Luis, our dedicated butlers, who consistently went above and beyond to make our trip incredibly special. Their attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference.
We also can’t say enough good things about the lifeguards, who were always attentive and professional, giving us peace of mind as parents. And the 5-star restaurants on property? Absolutely top-notch—every meal was a culinary highlight with world-class flavors and service to match.
SLS Playa delivers luxury, comfort, and fun in one of the most beautiful beach settings we’ve visited. Family is Already looking forward to our next trip back!

We recently stayed at this resort and had a great overall experience. The property itself is beautiful and everything felt fresh and new, which made the environment really enjoyable. The food was excellent with a wide variety of options to suit all tastes, and the service stood out — there were always staff around, ready to help with a smile.
The beach was also nice. While there was some sargassum, the hotel clearly made a consistent effort to clean it up, which we appreciated.
The main area for improvement is the entertainment. While there were some decent activities at the pool and gym during the day, the nightly shows didn’t quite measure up to what we’ve seen at other resorts or cruise ships. It would be great to see more engaging, music-driven evening shows — something lively that appeals to both kids and adults.
That said, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend it, especially for the food, service, and relaxed atmosphere.

Just got back from SLS Playa Mujeres and had a great time!
The resort has a stylish, modern vibe that’s definitely more adult-oriented, but it does have a nice waterpark and kid-friendly areas for younger ones. The beach was beautiful, and this area tends to have less seaweed than others, which was a big plus.
The rooms are a bit on the small side, but they’re super stylish and comfortable, and the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious. The staff was amazing—super friendly and always helpful!
The food was definitely a highlight. The steakhouse was one of the best I’ve had at an all-inclusive, and I also loved the Mexican restaurant and the adults-only Twiggy.
Overall, it's a great choice for a casual but elevated all-inclusive getaway—and one I’d definitely return to!

I brought my girlfriend to Cancun for the first time and wanted her to have a truly high-quality experience. This resort exceeded our expectations and delivered the level of luxury we were hoping for. From the architecture and interiors to the landscaping and restaurants, everything had a refined, high-end feel similar to top U.S. resorts.
At first, I was a little nervous about being further from Cancun itself, but the beautifully calm private beach more than made up for it. I didn’t miss the crowded Cancun beaches at all. Overall, it’s a 10/10, and we’ll definitely be coming back next time.

The best of all was the service and treatment given by the staff: friendly, attentive, always helpful. They make you feel like an honored guest. At other hotels (especially Dreams), the attitude is generally poor, or in specific cases, very poor.
The Majestic is huge, so you have to walk long distances from your room to the lobby, restaurants, or the beach. That's why it's nice that most of the walk is in the shade.
The bars are served with care and promptness. The most comfortable ones, Piano Bar and Lobby Bar, make you want to stay for a long time (Thank you, Luis F. Escamilla). The drinks are mid-high range, with all kinds of options.
The rooms are spacious and pleasant. Housekeeping is punctual. The minibar is always stocked. There are ice machines nearby so you don't have to keep begging for it at the bar.
The pools offer fun amenities and a good atmosphere at midday. If anything, more shaded areas are needed.
On the esplanade and in the theater, a daily entertainment: we enjoyed a Mexican night, wrestling, a Michael Jackson show, and the American Independence Day celebrations.
We had breakfast every day at the enormous "Flavors" (thank you, Miss Majo). The main bar is also enormous, with options for all tastes. There are two fountains with fruit and juices, and freshly prepared natural drinks.
All the restaurants offer vegetarian and vegan options. My four favorites:
• "Le Bistro," splendid, glamorous, with delicious dishes (the Bouillabaisse soup, the Duck confit, and the unbeatable desserts) and live piano music.
• "Il Bottaccio," elegant, interesting, and delicate. It was difficult to decide among so many enticing dishes.
• "Mar House," with its tempting and delicious lobster options.
• I confess I'm not a sushi fan. But Japanese cuisine goes beyond that. You have to go to "Kabuki".
Given my job, The Club's lounges were very useful. They were a great place to read or write, do office work, have video conferences, or take care of private matters, with minibar service and attentive staff.
In summary: a great, fantastic hotel. Magnificent food. A memorable stay. Special thanks to our butler, "Paco."

We got to stay here at the resort for a week for my friends wedding. Every thing was so beautiful and every one was so friendly. Martin and Eduardo at the Mar seafood restaurant were great! Food was amazing , especially the fillet!! Also Gabriel and Marco at the hibachi restaurant were so fun and great, every one is so friendly at this resort. Chan is awesome, always happy to help. I cant Wait to come back. I have nothing bad to say. Perfect getaway !

I had an incredible experience here for my honeymoon. Amazing service, delicious food, and beautiful views everywhere. There are pools and bars everywhere which is so fun. The staff are incredible, always making sure you’re happy and satisfied. The room service is top notch, you can press 0 on the phone in your room and ask for anything. A weird things is that two restaurants require you to wear pants; I didn’t even consider bringing pants to Mexico in July. They also have weddings every day on the family side of the resort that can run until 2pm with music blaring making it very difficult to sleep. Aside from those minor complaints I highly recommend coming here. The Mexican and sushi restaurants are phenomenal.

A fantastic dining experience awaits at the Japanese Steakhouse in Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres! From start to finish, the entire meal was a true highlight of our trip, and we couldn't have asked for better service.
Our server, Bogart, was exceptional. He was incredibly attentive and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed and offering great recommendations. He truly went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect.
The real showstopper, however, was our chef, Augustin. He was not only a masterful cook but an entertaining performer as well. The hibachi show was incredible—he had some serious skills! The food itself was delicious and cooked to perfection, a testament to his expertise.
We left feeling completely satisfied, having enjoyed both a fantastic meal and wonderful company. A huge thank you to Bogart and Augustin for a five-star experience! This is a must-try restaurant if you're staying at the resort.

Great hotel, rooms were amazing, food as well, had so much fun. I only have to say that the beach unfortunately was full of algs so we didn’t go but we stayed in the pool and very nice animation and personal stuff. The food was also very good. My other complain is that there isn’t any proper party or club place in the hotel as we expected. Only the bubble party during the day in the pool (only 2/3 times a week) and the smash bar for the night but no party place. Also no room without music where you can relax. Music is good we love it but as well some place with silence was necessary. The rest top. Smaller also then expected the hotel and after 3 days you already meet everyone which is nice to make friends but not a lot of young people (I am 21 years old)

I really enjoyed my experience at the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun, especially because of their Kids Club. The space is very well thought out, with everything in place for the fun and safety of the children. There are several playrooms designed for different age groups, as well as a pool for the little ones. What I particularly appreciated is that the entrance to the club is supervised and secured by staff, with a locked door. This allows parents to relax by the kids’ pool with peace of mind while their children are safely inside.
A huge thank you to Laura from the Kids Club, who did such a wonderful job taking care of the children and allowing parents to enjoy the sun and their day. She took the time to do the kids’ hair, do makeup, and play with them. Her kindness and attention truly made a difference. A great family-friendly experience that I highly recommend!

Janet and Irma at the pool side was fantastic. She constantly checked on us to make sure we had a drink. She always asked if we were ok or needed anything else. Fernando at the buffet was awesome as well. He continued to check on us and gave us drinks to try if we didn't like the basics. He made us laugh and was very friendly. Service was great throughout the hotel except at one restaurant, I think our server was having a bad evening because he was not friendly and had a little attitude. Overall our experience was great. Not sure if I would do this hotel again. Needs a lot of upgrades. Very outdated.

We were so excited to arrive for our family of 4 vacation. Issues from the word go....
Upon check in, they didn't have record of us booking a Deluxe Grand 2 Bedroom Sky Terrace, just a basic room. Proceeded to tell us we must of booked through a 3rd party. We booked direct and I showed them the confirmation email. Approximately 30 min later they found our reservation and gave us our room.
Room was in a construction zone, wet paint, long walks through construction gates etc.
The room... supposed to be 1900 sq ft. Well, that includes a 1000 sq ft patio with 1 chair. 900 sq ft for a family of 4 not so great.
Everything at this property revolves around you signing up for their Legendary breakfast. After kindly declining, we were called both mornings at 8:00 am to come receive our welcome packet to the hotel. A 30 min push to get you to their daily time share breakfast.
At the waterpark, we found 2 chairs that were not reserved, placed our stuff down and tried to enjoy the park even though half the slides were closed. We see a butler place a reserved sign on 2 chairs next to ours. A family arrives and tells us we need to move because they reserved 4 chairs and they are Legendary Members. I informed them that we were there before the butler placed the signage. Fast forward, management asks us to relocate because Legendary members have first rights.
Legendary Members will also by-pass you at dinner when your waiting for a table. All this after being told no reservations etc.
I believe many of their reviews are AI driven, we had a horrible experience and would not recommend unless you have Legendary Status. We paid full rate, and checked out 2 days into the trip.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is a place I would highly recommend to visit. The rooms are clean with multiple amenities and provide a great view of all the scenery the resort has to offer. The staff is amazing and was so helpful in helping us get everything we need. Our butlers were Moises and Paola and they quickly and efficiently handled everything we asked as well as consistently checked on us with a smile on their faces. Omar at the adult side pool was amazing and would get us drinks/food before we even asked for them and was willing to help whenever we needed it.

My experience in the hotel was really good, the service is what makes that experience so memorable. My only point of contention was the rooms, they have a moldy smell that takes you out a bit from what otherwise was a great time.
I may add that the staff was really helpful and I got move at the end 3 times.
But that’s not on the staff that was really attentive and ready to help.
So to summarize The hotel has really nice spots and for the family has a lot to offer. The staff is a bright spot in the whole experience but just be careful with the rooms.

My wife and I went back for the fourth time to enjoy the adults only heaven experience.
First off the staff, there is by far the best of any resort in any location that I've ever been at. They treat you with respect and truly seem to enjoy their jobs as they make your week the best possible.
Resort took the old heavens area for adults only and turned it into family and created a new adults pool with its own events. The pool is smaller but they did a good job keeping the party going.
Negatives ... If you want to go to dinner with only adults, there is normally only one restaurant now that is adults only to choose from out of roughly the eight that are available. The family side is absolutely rocking but if you're looking for adults only without kids, this may not be what you're looking for.
Resort credit. The kick is you used to be able to use resort credits on trips, spa, and pretty much everything within the resort with a 25% tax on what you ended up choosing. Now it's 35% and there are very few things that you can use your resort credit on. The special meals they have at the resort, the gift shops, pretty much everything but a very few items do not accept resort credit. It's a marketing hook that's definitely in my opinion, is getting the wrong response.
The resort continues to try to get you to sit through a meeting to buy into points to come back and when they say it's 90 minute meeting, nope it's roughly about 3 hours. Again, if they just were straight up honest on it, they might get a little more respect from those that are visiting the resort.
So booking at this location and enjoying the music. The food and the wonderful service is definitely a plus. Just understand what you're getting into and you'll be fine.

We stayed at Moon Palace in the Sunrise building for our honeymoon for 5 days, and overall, we left disappointed. While there were a few things we enjoyed, the negatives unfortunately outweighed the positives.
The good: the entertainment by the pool was lively and enjoyable, the drinks were solid, and the lobby area was beautiful with a pleasant aroma throughout. Those small touches made the first impression feel promising.
However, once we settled in, the issues quickly became clear. The food was consistently a letdown – untraditional, served cold, and simply not what we expected from a resort of this caliber. Room service was another frustration; every time we ordered, the wait was excessively long, whether it was food or just basic requests. We were also given “resort credits” that sounded like a perk, but in reality, they were nearly impossible to use since they only applied to very specific things.
The pools, which should have been a highlight, were dirty and poorly maintained. Cups, straws, and trash would sink to the bottom because people would throw them in after finishing drinks, and it didn’t seem like staff stayed on top of cleaning it. That really hurt the experience of relaxing by the pool.
What made it worse is that this was our honeymoon, something we made sure to mention at check-in. We were hoping for at least a small acknowledgment or gesture, but there was nothing—not even a note in the room. For a resort that markets itself as luxury, that lack of attention to detail felt especially disappointing.
Overall, while Moon Palace Sunrise had a few enjoyable aspects, the service, food quality, and overall cleanliness left us feeling like this was far from a special honeymoon experience. It was okay for a first-time visit, but we would not come back and certainly wouldn’t recommend it to others.

We had the family suite and stayed for 2 nights. Tub had some construction debris and wall art removed and thrown in tub. How do you give a room like that? The room had unpleasant smell. Lobby had roaches. One balcony was missing a hammock, the chairs were dirty, staff constantly tries to upsell stuff during check in and check out.
Pools are good. Food was great. Restaurant service was amazing.
Resort looks a bit dated and over hyped for the price. We will probably go to some other resort next time. I spent a thousand bucks per night for a family of 4 and it’s not worth it. I am sure there are more premium resorts for that kind of money

Our family absolutely adores Moon Palace, especially our kiddos. This is our 3rd visit. Since they made the honor roll, we asked where they wanted to go, and without a doubt, they said moon palace Mexico. We love the service, and kids love the game rooms and kids club. The food was good and we enjoyed eating at both resorts.
Please note: You'll be asked to do a 90 min presentation upon arrival after check-in. You can say NO, but if you do decide to go, please note that they will do EVERYTHING in their power to get you to buy even when they say there is no obligation to buy. They will drop the prices to get you to commit. Even when we were walking out to get the shuttle, the rep was still asking us to make a deal after we spoke with 3 people upstairs... a bit ANNOYING, but know that you can say NO and stand firm on that unless you wanna buy. We went to the grand and were not impressed at all. The kids like the pool and play room, but we all prefer the food at Nicuz and Sunrise, we felt it was way better, especially the buffet. Pizza is better at The Grand, though. Overall, we will definitely return to Moon Palace but only to Nicuz or Sunrise.

We had a wonderful stay at Moon Palace Cancún overall! The people and staff are incredibly friendly, and the pools are fantastic—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. However, we did have an unfortunate incident where money was taken from our room. While the staff conducted a security check, they were not very kind and made us feel like it was our fault. We wish they had handled the situation with more empathy, especially since we were just reporting the issue. A tip for future guests: always lock up your valuables in the safe! Despite this, the resort is great, and the people made our trip memorable. Just wish the staff had been more supportive during that incident.

& honestly I am going to be cancelling it & do not recommend anyone to get any membership with them.
If you calculate the amount spent annually on the membership plus down payment. You will see it’s not much of a discount. You basically pre paid for your next trip. & exactly how many times a year is an average person going on trips like this.
basically what I have learned is that if you are not Diamond or Residence you really do not matter to them. You will get basic treatment however they will hype up their sales pitch for the next tier to lure you in. Don’t fall for it. It’s all just dialogues and false promises.
We came here to Grand Moon a 2nd time because of the large group 40th party.
We were given a room change 2 days into our stay because our party all was in building 93 and we were different. & those that know building 93 has the Grill restaurant next to it. So if you think your swim up is going to be relaxing think again. You are next to this generator sound that sounds like a train ALL DAY LONG. From 7am until 1am. So there is no laying back and looking at the sky peacefully. Not in that building.
We booked in April for a trip in August. It was mentioned when booking that these are all our party membership #s. We arrive same-time. Please try to accommodate us in the same building close to each other. Which they did not & lectured me about “upon availability”. Meanwhile another member was offered the suite in the same building as the rest of our crew 2 hrs after I had requested. The response I received was “it may have not shown in the computer for front staff to see” — hmm ok. So they do not know who’s going to leave so they can block that room & cater to a request even if it’s a late room availability? I guess the answer is no.
We were told our rooms are ready, my family is split up & I request a key card for the room in the meantime for them to change & then we can bring them to lobby for key update. They refused even tho Lobby check in staff said yes you can do a key card in meantime. But like I said left hand doesn’t talk to the right.
Anyways we went to get key update & were told the room is not ready and gave a different # for the room and stated the other one has an electrical issue. So you mean to say, you called me several times & emailed me to tell me the room is ready & when I got to the lobby now ur telling me it’s not & it has an issue.
For those that have been to Grand know that the lobby isn’t just downstairs or next door. You need a golf cart depending where you stay. & golf carts r not waiting there for you unless if ur diamond or residence. If you are VIP or anything else you have to wait for the next one to come.
I complained about Roaches in the balcony, refer to the image caption for details. after they sprayed the balcony area magically no ants are seen. 🤔but I thought we are in a jungle and can not control this? How did a spray just decrease insects in living area? I wasn’t complaining about roaches in the streets. It was in the balcony, where we are suppose to sit,next to my balcony door.
Bottom line: I gave Moon palace several chances to fix their mistakes and avoid further frustration but as I had told Rebecca in member services. “You people do not care about my membership because I am not your Diamond or Residence member. Therefore my complaints are baseless & I sound like an annoying person complaining. So I will take my business elsewhere that I am Appreciated”
Plenty of other family friendly resorts Moon palaces are not the only one in this area or even on the hotel strip.

I recently stayed at TRS Coral Hotel. The property itself is absolutely beautiful – the room, pool, and beach were stunning, and my butler provided excellent service throughout my stay. In terms of hotel quality, room comfort, and overall service, I would give it a solid 10/10.
Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. Most of it was unappetizing, and I’d honestly rate it around a 3/10. The drinks also felt watered down, although the shots were very strong.
One other issue during my stay was a power outage. I understand that this may have been beyond the hotel’s control, but considering the price point of the resort, I expected there to be a backup generator to avoid leaving guests without power.
Overall, if you’re looking for beautiful rooms, great pools, and attentive service, TRS Coral definitely delivers. But if food and consistent amenities are important to you, it may fall short for the cost.

We love TRS and have visited this location 4 times so far. Our latest trip was just as exceptional as our previous ones! It was great to see so many familiar faces that seem like family now such as Ulises, Miranda, Chef Manuel, Benji and Pedro just to name a few- plus we were lucky enough to meet some amazing new ones! We love the fact that they have photographers walking around to capture special moments. It was so fun looking at all of the pictures that they took over our week stay, but it was also hard to narrow down our favorites! Food was delicious all over the resort also. Our favorite restaurants were at the TRS side but we also enjoyed daily boat rides over to the coffee shop where they had delicious drinks and desserts. I would highly recommend visiting TRS Coral!

The staff are generally amazing. Our Butlers Linda was exceptional. Eduardo was scheduled to work less but was good. Disappointed after 4 days the butlers rotated and we were assigned new ones. Food was good to great for the most part. Carlos drink server at Main Pool Grand Palladium was awesome. TRS Pool server not particularly good. Some guys there were really nice but were not our server so that was a need improvement area. Overall the property is lovely. We were with a large group and some had various complaints with rooms. One family I meant were dissatisfied with requested items not being delivered to rooms. That said for us it was really nice overall great staff the golf carts transports were generally reasonable wait times. Bed was hard. Some nice entertainment.

Our experience at Helios was Amazing starting with Arturo . We were treated like royalty. We were absolutely treated amazing from meeting the chef to our amazing servers. The manager greeted us and was very attentive to our needs from enter to deserts. We were assisted by other servers Braylon,Soto, Helios, and Nicholas, they all were simply amazing. The food was outstanding. The he ambiance was warm and friendly and we really enjoyed our dining experience. If you’re in Cancun you would certainly do yourself a great favor and visit their location you will not be disappointed!!!

The food at El Gaucho in Costa Mujeres is BEYOND!! Oscar the Chef at El Gaucho is running a smooth kitchen. The shrimp and beef broth soup was the highlight of the evening, as well as the medium steak I had. The sides were great too, overall great ambiance. Dress code is a soft casual formal. Highly recommend!

Overall good experience at this resort with excellent service being the standout feature for me. My room showed signs of aging but I must say it was clean and housekeeping kept it looking good throughout our stay. Food variety at the on site restaurants (dinner reservations required) was just enough for our 5-night stay, and many meal options were delicious. Be sure to save some room for the amazing desserts also. I would’ve appreciated knowing ahead of time that not all restaurants were open on all days rather than walking over to find them closed for breakfast or lunch. On this visit, seaweed had taken over the beach so we spent time at the pools which were fun/engaging or quiet/relaxing depending on the choice of pool area.

Honeymoon Disappointment – Truly Heartbreaking Experience
My wife and I absolutely love Mexico and have spent the last five years visiting various resorts, both big and small. We’ve always praised the country for its warmth, hospitality, and top-tier customer service—which is why we chose it without hesitation for our honeymoon in November 2024.
Unfortunately, this trip was a huge letdown and has left us questioning whether we’ll return to Mexico at all, which is heartbreaking given how much we love it.
We booked this luxury resort and even paid for the upgraded swim-out room expecting a special experience, especially for such a meaningful occasion. But from the moment we arrived, the customer service was practically nonexistent. No one seemed to acknowledge or care that we were celebrating our honeymoon, and the attentiveness we’re used to in Mexico was completely missing.
To make matters worse, we were turned away from dining at the Japanese restaurant simply because we were walk-ins—even though we were guests and it wasn’t fully booked. We were instead seated at the sushi bar and told we could only order sushi. No effort was made to accommodate us or make the moment feel special.
We’ve never left a negative review about a resort in Mexico before—never had a reason to. But this experience was so far below what we’ve come to expect and love about traveling here that it genuinely shook us. It felt cold, impersonal, and far from the honeymoon trip we had been dreaming of.

Prepare to be harassed to become a vacation club member. We listened to a presentation the first day to get a free massage and it was hilariously awful. We had to tell three different sales people no before they would let us leave. They offer is a scam, please beware, if it sounds too good to be true remember: it probably is. The representatives called our room I think every day the rest of our stay, harassing us again to join. The reason for writing this review was because on our way out to catch our shuttle to the airport another person harassed us, almost making us miss our shuttle.
As far as the resort: it was fine. I am not much of an all inclusive traveler but was ultimately disappointed that none of the amenities we requested before arrival were ready for us. We never got our pillow or welcome drink kit. You have to request turn down service. Mexican restaurant was disappointing for all, sushi was the best but they are way too strict about reservations for it - the girl at the counter is probably the worst customer service we received the entire visit.
Staff overall are excellent and the food was better than expected. The drinks are weak so ask for shots.
The spa was $$$ and teeny tiny but we really enjoyed our free massage. Worth the harassment throughout our visit to join their crappy vacation club :)

I loved my experience here. My bride brought me here to photograph her wedding at the resort, it was a dream! Our room had a private pool entrance, it was spacious, beautiful everywhere, and everyone was so kind.
I even left my jewelry in the room after check out, and they were kind enough to hold it for me so that we could get it the next day from Tulum!
10/10 recommend staying here, it is phenomenal.

Amazing resort with amazing service.
We were fortunate this trip July 2025 to have two amazing butlers Alejandro and Alexander.
They reserved our chairs and cabanas every day. Checked in on us through out the day to ensure all was running smoothly for us.
We also had other amazing servers throughput the restaurants and bars which I have mentioned on Trip Advisor.
The only negative I have to mentioned is the flooring at the Escondida pool has become rather rough compared to other pools.

We have been coming to Palace Resorts since our honeymoon in January 2014. This is the first time we have been to this property where we have not been absolutely blown away by the service, food and overall quality. We are so saddened by the state of the property during this visit. We had originally booked 9 nights at sunrise, but because this was the first trip our 3 kids have had the opportunity to have together and the fact that we were celebrating beating CANCER, we decided to splurge on The Grand. NOT WORTH DOUBLE THE COST -even at the reduced member rate that we are guaranteed as elite members.
This is not the same company it once was. If you have been here in the past; do not be fooled things, are changing.
We shared our concerns with the membership sales team when we went to renew and they offered to upgrade us and give us credits to use on our stay. The benefits they offered were intended to try and remind us why we love coming here, but they come with the condition that if you take the upgrade and still end up leaving unhappy, they don’t offer refunds or discounts, they will make you pay back the cost difference of the upgrade. “Nothing is for free” Randy, our sales agent told us. Why would we just give you a great experience you have already paid close to 20k for? Also the upgrade to remind us why we love Palace resorts was only if we invested in our membership, so we actually had to put our deposit down on our new membership before they even gave us the upgrades and then when we went to sign the contract and read the fine print we realize that that was not just an upgrade to show us they care, it was an upgrade with the conditions that if we still were not convinced, we would have to pay back $7000 USD plus the resort credits; that are really not worth anything in the real world because the company give them away constantly to everyone all the time throughout the year. Except us apparently, even though we booked 2 rooms for 9 nights 🤷🏼♀️
Now Internet, please don’t come at me telling me this is first world problems because you’re exactly right. It is first world problems. This is a five star resort charging us five star prices and providing us 3 to 4 star accommodation if I was staying at a three or four star resort then I would have the expectations of that property to provide service and accommodation of that level. I guess they just assumed that you’re so happy to be in a tropical climate eating and drinking that you should just be thankful for what they’re giving you? In my experience in my 25+ years in client facing services that rely on customer relations in public relations and customer service. This is not how you treat people.
We are still here and they have six nights to remind us why we come here, however at this rate, I don’t foresee another palace trip in the future which they don’t seem to care about because the sales people told us several times that they don’t need our money and don’t have to do anything to make up for unacceptable incidents during our trip because they have people buying $2 million residences and mansions therefore, really don’t need us regular folk. According to the documentation that they shared with us, we are just baby investors and although they sell hard to get you to invest, we’re really not any concern to them and they don’t need to do anything to improve our stay because they don’t need our 120 K 40 K 50 K membership that we could have potentially invested in.
We are going to put this behind us and we are going to try to have the most amazing family vacation that we have ever had and just put our blinders on and just appreciate the time that we have together.
I really hope no one else has had this similar experience. Hopefully we’re outliers and this is a weird one off.

Top-Notch Experience — No Need to Leave the Resort
This resort truly offers everything you need for a great vacation. There’s an abundance of food, a wide variety of activities, and plenty of options to keep everyone entertained. It’s an excellent choice for families traveling with kids and teens—a perfect mix for all ages.
Our children especially loved the circus-themed restaurant, the massive slides, and the arcade. We enjoyed relaxing in the lazy river and appreciated the overall elegance of the hotel. A standout feature was the complimentary shuttle service to nearby sister hotels, which were just a short ride away. The Japanese restaurant at one of the sister properties was fantastic, offering flavorful sushi and a great selection.

I stayed at Moon Palace Grand for my daughter’s birthday with family, and unfortunately, the experience was very underwhelming. While the resort looks beautiful at first glance, there are several things that made our stay less than enjoyable.
First, the resort is massive—so large that you have to rely on golf carts to get around, which takes forever. This might sound fun, but it ends up being a major inconvenience, especially with kids. The app is supposed to help you navigate with an interactive map, but it barely works, and everything is done through that app. If you’re not tech-savvy, you’re out of luck because staff aren’t proactive about helping or guiding you.
The food was just okay—nothing special. Most restaurants felt very average, and there wasn’t anything that stood out as exceptional. The water park and pools close ridiculously early, which left us with nothing to do with the kids after a certain time. Only one small pool stays open until 8 PM, and even that felt limiting for a resort of this size and price point.
The beach is dirty and I would not recommend swimming. The water is very murky. Stay elsewhere if you’re looking for nice beach views.
The Wired Lounge, which is meant to be a fun space for kids and teens, was chaotic. There’s no structure or staff enforcing any kind of order, so some kids hog the games for hours while others don’t get a turn.
On top of all that, the entire place feels like a sales pitch. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, staff constantly push promotions and offers for a future stay. Even at checkout, when I was in a rush to gather my family and check out, I was being cornered with a pitch to book again. When I declined, the attitude changed quickly—they act like they’re helping, but it’s all about the sale.
All in all, I expected so much more for the cost. There was very little genuine hospitality, too much focus on upselling, and not enough to justify returning. I won’t be coming back.

We had an amazing stay at Moon Palace! Excellent food, pools, room service, and beautiful amenities. Top restaurants: Riviera Maya (thank you Eugenio!) and La Cantina (José was fantastic). Buffets were great—thanks to Erick and Suguedy at breakfast.
We celebrated our kids’ birthday with mariachis at La Cantina—a beautiful surprise! The staff throughout the resort was kind and helpful. Everything felt safe and clean, and excursions were easy to book.
The entire experience in Mexico was unforgettable—so many warm and kind people. We can’t wait to come back!
Only downsides: limited use of resort credits, sales offers, and some beach odor—but nothing that affected our amazing trip.

We stayed at Moon Palace Sunrise for 3 days and 3 nights, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations — especially as the final stop of our 2-week trip across the U.S. and Mexico.
To start with the positives: the resort is large, clean, and well-maintained. The breakfast and lunch buffets were good, with plenty of variety. There are several restaurants on-site, though most of the à la carte meals we tried were quite average for a resort of this level.
One highlight was the evening entertainment — the shows were well-organized, lively, and a pleasant way to end the day. The effort the entertainment team put in definitely added some value to the overall experience.
However, the biggest letdown was the “tour” offered to us at check-in. We were told it would be a short visit to promote Moon Palace Grand, in exchange for breakfast, a day pass, and $300 in resort credit — just 90 minutes of our time. It sounded like a decent complimentary offer, especially during a short stay.
In reality, it turned into a high-pressure sales pitch for their membership program that lasted well over 3 hours. We ended up wasting nearly half a day of our vacation — time we couldn’t afford to lose. I understand the resort may respond with a standard reply, but I’m sharing this to warn others who may be offered the same.
We also got a chance to explore the Grand, and honestly, it wasn’t very impressive. Having stayed in other all-inclusive/luxury resorts during our trip — including in New York, Mexico City, and Tulum — we found Moon Palace to be the most underwhelming. When booking, I had considered choosing the Grand instead of Sunrise, but I’m glad I didn’t spend the extra money.
Overall, while the resort has some strengths — particularly the well-kept grounds and enjoyable shows — the average dining and misleading promotional tactics made this a disappointing end to an otherwise great trip. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t return or recommend it.

We have been vacationing at Pearl for nine years and will keep coming back. The resort is intimate, well kept, and they are always making upgrades. We were there for July 4th, and they went all out throwing an amazing USA Independence Day party. It was really impressive. The entire staff at this resort always exceeds our expectations. It's wonderful to see so many of the same faces each visit greeting you with "Welcome home." They become like family. This trip, our long time favorite bar tender, Jairo, was at check-in to make our drinks...a great kickoff to vacation. Horacio set us up at the pool each day making sure our trip was going well. Wilbert served breakfast and lunch with a smile. Monica kept the cold drinks coming at the pool. The playmakers, Candice and Raiders, took time to chat with us each day/evening and brought the fun and energy. Jesus in the Pearl restaurant is such an attentive waiter and just a pleasure to talk to. We seek out a table in his section every time we eat there. Rosenberg is another bartender who makes great drinks and always gives a smile and wave if he is passing by. Honestly, every single staff member is quick with "Hola" and a smile. They are the reason we keep coming back!!

We had such a wonderful time. The entire staff is amazing, and the service they provide is phenomenal (be sure to tip them well!). We especially appreciated Antonio by the pool; so great to know we'd have a daybed waiting for us and not have to spend the time and energy scouting and holding spots.
I could not get over how lush and well-manicured the resort grounds are. It's truly a tropical paradise. And we never saw a single scrap of trash anywhere. Everything was spotless!
Our favorite spot was a pool daybed on the quiet side of the pool. We enjoyed the ocean breeze and sound of the waves while still being close enough to the party to join in on activities and games when we chose. We upgraded to a master suite for a discounted rate about a week before our trip, and I'm so glad we did. It was great to have a second bathroom and second entrance so I could come and go while my husband napped without disturbing him.
The clientele was great too! Everyone was friendly, accepting, and respectful. Although everyone was having a great time, there was no debauchery or disruptions, and there was never any pressure from anyone. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and happy to allow others to do the same. There was a wide range of ages, from late 20s to maybe early 80s, with the majority of folks being 40-55.
We enjoyed that the resort is all inclusive, as we could eat or drink when and what we wanted without having to make a ton of decisions or worry about the cost. I deducted a star, however, because overall, we did not enjoy the food. It seemed like lower quality cafeteria food to us. I did enjoy the pastries, breads, and the pizza by the pool, and we enjoyed Suki (the Asian restaurant). Our meals at Aphrodite and Pearl left a lot to be desired (and left us hungry).
The only other critique we have is the music at the club at night. It was awwwwwwwful - so bad that we left early every night and didn't even go on our last night (which is a shame because I really enjoy dancing). We just couldn't listen to Spice Girls, C&C music factory, and other really bad, really cringey 90s pop music any longer. That won't stop is from going back to the resort in the future, but we sure do hope they improve the music selections!

We absolutely love Pearl! We stayed in a Master suite this time for 10 days, loved it. The staff are always friendly, like family. We were there during the anniversary, and Easter. We were lucky enough to participate in the special lunches they had in the garden area, we also got to have the special chefs dinner, we eat mainly fish and chicken, at the Chefs dinner they prepared special plates with chicken for us.
The pool was way too cold, the hot tub was very very dirty. Just gross. Those were the only negatives, but they were pretty big negatives.

From the moment we arrived, Le Blanc set the tone for what would be one of the most incredible travel experiences we’ve ever had. The resort is absolutely stunning — modern, elegant, and perfectly maintained. Everywhere you look, the property is spotless, serene, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel instantly relaxed.
The service is truly on another level. Every staff member we encountered was not only friendly and warm but also seemed to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them. From personalized check-in touches to poolside staff who remembered our names and preferences, the level of attentiveness felt both genuine and seamless.
The food was nothing short of phenomenal. Each restaurant offered beautifully crafted dishes that tasted as good as they looked — whether it was fresh seafood, expertly prepared steaks, or decadent desserts. Every meal felt like fine dining, and the variety meant there was always something new to look forward to. The drinks were equally outstanding — creative cocktails, fresh juices, and top-shelf selections that were as delicious as they were beautifully presented.

Le Blanc Cancun exceeded every expectation we had and gave us an experience we will treasure for a lifetime. We chose this resort for our wedding, and from start to finish, everything was flawless.
The wedding coordinator was attentive, organized, and genuinely cared about every detail, making our special day absolutely perfect. Our butler was beyond incredible, anticipating our needs before we even thought of them and ensuring we felt pampered the entire stay.
The drinks were top shelf and crafted with care, the dining was exceptional with every meal feeling like fine dining, and the pools and beach were simply stunning. Every corner of this property is immaculate, and the atmosphere is as relaxing as it is luxurious.
What truly sets Le Blanc apart is its prestigious customer service. Every single staff member made us feel valued and celebrated. It is rare that I leave a destination and say I would return to the very same hotel, but in this case, I would come back to Le Blanc Cancun without hesitation.

Le Blanc is so nice I don’t even know where to start. Every single expectation I had was not only met, it was blown out of the water. I’ve stayed in a lot of resorts in Cancun before, but from now on, this is the only one I will stay at. My spouse and I were both 100% satisfied and relaxed for our entire trip. All the food was fantastic. The restaurants are fantastic! The hydrotherapy in the spa was fantastic! The app they use is fantastic! Go ahead and download it before your trip and you can go ahead and make reservations for the spa, restaurants, excursions, etc.
I also want to say that the butler service was out of this world. Cecilia was our butler until 3 everyday and Jose was our evening butler. We had more interaction with Cecilia because we’re generally early to bed, but both of them were beyond great. We felt like Cecelia wasn’t an employee by the time we left, we felt like she was a new friend we made. That’s how kind and wonderful she was. Jose even drew an amazing in room jacuzzi with rose pedals and a bottle of non alcoholic champagne (non drinkers) for us one evening after our return from dinner. They’re always there to make sure you’re taken care of, but if you want to be left alone you just press the privacy button and nobody will bother you.
I could go on and on and I know I’m forgetting several things. If you are a nondrinker like myself every restaurant has non alcoholic options that are delicious! I really appreciated that. It’s so beautiful and so peaceful. The “no kids” thing really keeps this place quiet and I saw no drunken behavior from any other guest. Every employee had a smile on their face and genuinely seemed happy to be there and happy we were there too. We can’t wait to go back and are already looking forward to it. Again, I’m a very well seasoned traveler. My spouse and I have been all over the world. I’ve been to a dozen resorts in Cancun, but this is the one I’ll be calling home from this point forward. When we arrived they said “welcome home.” Now I know why. 10 stars all day everyday.

My wife and I stayed at Le Blanc Cancun from August 15-20, 2025, and it was one of the most well-run and luxurious resorts I've ever visited.
The food and service were absolutely incredible, with every restaurant exceeding my expectations. The grounds are immaculate, and there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The spa is a true highlight, and the complimentary hydrotherapy area—complete with an infrared sauna, wet sauna, cold room, and hot tub—was simply amazing.
My only criticisms are minor. Upon check-in, we were directed to a separate desk for a welcome package, which turned out to be a pushy timeshare pitch. The representative was persistent throughout our stay, which was uncomfortable. Additionally, the resort only has three elevators, and one was out of service for most of our visit. While the rooms were clean, they were a bit small for such a high-end resort.
Le Blanc has a mature, no-drama atmosphere, so it's not the place for a party crowd. Despite the minor issues, the amazing food and service make it a place we would definitely stay at again. We had an incredible time.

From the concierges, Brandon and wait staff at every location were amazing; Lucinda, Christian at the pool always asking if we needed anything. Our butlers Roberto, Saul, Joel were always so attentive and exceptional catering to our every need. Alessandra our concierge was always asking if there was anything we needed and how everything was every day. Each employee at LeBlanc helped to make our stay special. Our room was decorated for our anniversary and my husband’s birthday, thanks to our Diamond Concierge Alessandra The drinks were top shelf and the food was amazing. The maid service was fantastic. Our room was immaculate.It’s such a beautiful location with incredible staff. You just have to try it once and you’ll fall in love. It’s our home away from home. Our expectations are always exceeded. It’s our favorite resort!

We had a fantastic stay at Desire Mexico, split between Eden and Maya. The resort is beautifully kept, with a lively yet relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to meet people or simply enjoy time together. The entertainment team really stood out, especially Javi, who brought so much energy and fun to volleyball and other games. His enthusiasm made sure everyone felt involved and had a laugh. The mix of daytime activities, themed nights and the friendly staff made this a truly memorable holiday. We’ll definitely be back.
Hedonistic Adventurer
A smaller, more upscale and intimate naturalist resort. Quieter during the day with parties at night. More reserved but comfortable still. It doesn’t have a particular vibe or energy to it but it makes for a different kind of vacation time. The location is a bit remote and so you’re definitely going to spend your days and nights in the resort. It was good to try it but it wasn’t really my scene. I prefer something more wild, younger and freeing.

First time visit to Desire. The trip was much better then i would have imagined. The resort is small enough to be cozy and familiar without feeling like you have no privacy. The food is excellent with a variety of options to choose from. My favourite by far was the buffet. As a vegetarian my choices were plentiful. Not to knock the restaurants. Despite not having many vegetarian options on the menu the chef was always eager to create some vegetarian option. The staff at Desire cannot be praised enough. From the person who takes your luggage when arriving, to the front desk staff checking you in , to the activity leaders, servers, spa staff and general laborers. Everyone is polite, friendly, helpful and professional. A shout out to the few staff we got to know , Pina, Bella, Bobbi, Mariane, Leyda, Andrea, Erik, Davis, Luis, Carlos, and my apologies for anyone i've forgotten.

Our stay at Beach Palace Resort was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm smiles and exceptional service. The entire staff was attentive and friendly, but Joshua stood out as by far our favorite server. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made every meal extra special—we genuinely looked forward to seeing him each day!
The resort itself is beautiful and impeccably maintained. Our room was spacious and clean. We loved lounging by the beach and the pool, both of which were peaceful and never overcrowded.
Dining was a highlight—every restaurant offered fresh, delicious food with a great variety. The rooftop bar and views were unforgettable, especially at sunset.
We left completely relaxed and already dreaming of our next visit. Thank you, Beach Palace, for an incredible experience—and a huge thank you to Joshua for making it even more memorable!

This was our very first family trip to Mexico and my first time visiting the country, and I’m absolutely thrilled that we chose Beach Palace Cancun. Everything about this hotel is simply perfect!
I want to especially highlight the exceptional service and the kindness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. Their genuine care made us feel truly welcome and taken care of every moment of our stay.
The food was also outstanding — delicious, fresh, and with a wide variety to choose from. We chose the all-inclusive package and were very pleased with everything it offered.
One of the biggest highlights for our family was the kids’ club. My 4.5-year-old son absolutely loved it! The staff gave him so much attention, played different games with him, and even gave him a special souvenir at the end. He spent most of the day there with joy, fully engaged and happy in a fun, caring, and educational environment.
Overall, we are very satisfied with our vacation and are already planning to come back again in the future. Thank you, Beach Palace Cancun, for such a wonderful experience!

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid This Resort at All Costs
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this so called “Beach Palace Resort” in Cancun was beyond disappointing. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the resort was not up to even basic hospitality standards.
When I checked in, my room wasn’t even ready. Once I finally got in, I was greeted with a cold, moldy shower, a busted lock on the door, and a broken remote that was never replaced throughout my entire stay. The toilet handle fell off the second I touched it a clear indication that the room hadn’t been properly cleaned or inspected prior to my arrival.
There was a huge gap between the mattress and headboard, making it incredibly uncomfortable. The air conditioning barely worked, leaving the room hot and miserable every single night. When I tried to report these issues and requested an early checkout due to the horrible conditions, I was told I would still be charged for the full stay — no exceptions.
To make matters worse, I was nearly charged twice for the same booking, and then told a refund would take 21 days to process, completely unacceptable. On top of that, I was served old fries at the pool bar along with being 5 months pregnant and requested no alcohol in my virgin strawberry daiquiri and I was brought an alcoholic beverage twice, a small detail, but one that really captures the resort’s overall lack of care and quality.
I travel often and have stayed at a variety of hotels and resorts, and this was hands down one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I would have rather just ended my trip early because I would have rather gone home than spend one more night dealing with all of these issues.
Do yourself a favor — skip this resort and book somewhere that actually values guests’ comfort and satisfaction.

Having been to a few other all-inclusive locations in the area, this has been our favorite spot. The customer service is AMAZING, anywhere from the personable and fun bartenders to the great servers at every restaurant. Don't sweat about their drink menu, as the most fun you will have, is if let you the bartender go wild and have them make something random. Some of the crazy drinks on the rooftop bar and pool, or the main pool downstairs made the trip so special. The level of INSANE detail they take when caring for your allergies is top notch as well. They track that down to the simplest things like ordering wings at the poolside bar. This was our friends first trip to Cancun and they had an amazing first experience, and we will be coming back next year after the renovations.
